  1. Looks like a nice restoration. I looked at the first picture and saw the jacks. I personally would have gone with a HWH system, but what the heck, what ever floats your boat. Herman
  2. The towing guide is listed by years. Easy to use. Herman

  4. What I love about this site. A fellow RV'er needing help and there are 19 responses in 22 hours. Great work gang! Herman
  5. Shelbytom, Livingston, Texas is the home base for many RVers. Nice East Texas area, The Escapees have a mail forwarding service there plus and RV park. There service is large enough that they have their own Zip Code. Give it a look at. Herman
  6. Wildbill, 58 days to get from Texas to California. Just remind folks that 56 of those days are just to get through TEXAS. When the heat is as bad as it has been this summer, we try to get back on the road by at least 6 AM. and stop around noon. Just can't take the heat much anymore. Traffic is less that time also. Herman
  7. Thanks each of you that was there, in VN. Welcome home.
  8. 4 years, 3 months and 27 days, but who's counting. Will see you in Shawnee. How many here are coming to Shawnee? Herman
  9. bergy0256, Welcome to the Forum. Check with your local RV shop that sells Winegard units. They may have a Roadtrip they may have a taken off. Herman
  10. Was it just a fork or a complete place settinG. ? Found the same problem with our kitchen slide. If I remember, the floor in the cabinet under the sink will just pry up nothing holding it but friction. I need to clean out the broken tile from under ours. Herman
  11. Tom, we stayed in a small park north of Durango several years ago. Went into Durango to a Bar-B-Que Restaurant. The young lady that served us was not only from Texas but was from McKinney, Texas where we lived at the time. Another RVers "Small World Moment". Durango to Walsenberg, what a beautiful trip. We may just go back next year. Herman
  12. beford, There is another ole time trick for removing odors from enclosed spaces. Raw White onions. Just cut them in half put slices over the tops of each half. Put them on a paper plate in the refrigerate for several days. you may change them several times, but they will absorb the odors. (I would not suggest eating the onions afterwards)
  13. Wolf Creek Run is an owner's park with just 27 spaces, all concrete pads and roads. Also right on the river. Plus great and friendly folks. Herman
  14. Thanks Moonwink, I have been using my ATT phone for our internet connection for several years now. We live in the country and the only phone service is Verizon which doesn't have Fiber Optic so all we could get would be dial up. We didn't even put in phone cables when we built the house. We use the phone at home and while on the road anywhere there isn't free WiFi. This works for us. Herman
  15. boatracer, Help me out, the only dealer in Anna, Texas is at the Pilot/Flying J, Graham International. I didn't think they were participating in the Michelin Program. Herman
  16. gilmorj, Getting back to I-25 from Estes Park is not too bad and the drive down to Walsenberg is just a few steep grades. Walsenberg to South Fork is a piece of cake. Wolfe Creek Pass is another story. You will encounter steep grades, a tunnel and some Hair Pen turns. After that it isn't bad on through Pagoso Springs then into Durango. There is a beautiful RV park in Pagoso Springs, Wolf Creek Run. They are a bit pricey but what they offer is top notch. Their Hi and Howdy time is great and their Continental Breakfast is to die for. And might I quote Carl, "How did your get to Estes?" Herman
  17. Blake, The refrigerator we installed was a Samsung RF18 18. It is a 17.5 cuft. Unit. Had to remove the two drawers that were below the 1200. If your furnace is below your unit you may have to investigation another model. We couldn't be happier. It operates on our 2,000 watt modified sine wave inverter with no problems. Herman

    XRV 55301

I just looked at the Michelin Program and both the 55301 and the 59634 are 255/80R-22.5. The MSPN it the part number for a specific size. Unfortunately The tires are not listed by size. They are listed by MSPN. If you look really hard you can find the tire you desire, then check with a local dealer to see if (1) they participate in the program and (2) do they have or can get the tire you want. I found a much lower price on the list, by $200.00, but found that it was not for Motor Home use. For several reasons I went with the same Manufacturer, Good Year G670's, that I already had. Cost and they have served me well in the past and look forward to them doing the same again. Herman
  19. For a great place to have a drive shaft disconnect installed call David at Drive Shaft King in Dallas, Texas. Great place and fair pricing. Herman
  20. On Hwy 287 going to Amarillo there are two really nice rest areas. One is east of Childress and another west of Childress. Don't laugh, but when you get out and go to the fatalities there are two signs. One tells you that the buildings are storm shelters and the other warns you to beware of rattle snakes. Also there is a Wal-Mart in Childress that has an area marked for Rv's and trucks. Plus several good places to eat. I say that tounge in cheek since it has been years since I stayed in Childress for work. Herman
  21. I have thought about the space after removing the tank, In my cluttered mind I visualized a large box extended from side to side to hold all of those long items we all carry, Ladder, awning pull rod, extra lengths of sewer hose (capped of course), Flag poles, and so on. Right now in Texas we all have a real money savings going on. No need to run the hot water heater. The sun on the coach will keep the water in the tank warm enough to shower and wash dishes. If you don't have an insulation on your water hose you can almost get scalded before the cool water get through. Herman
  22. I have always wondered about "Federal Excise Tax". Do we pay state and local taxes before or after F.E.T. ??? Are we paying Tax on Tax? Gotta pay it, Gotta hate it. Anyone up for dressing like an Indian and going to Boston? Might look funny but I bet we could have a hella of a good time> Herman
  23. Bill, brought up a point in my ole memory bank. Back in the early 80's there were 30 amp coaches that would operate both a/c's. There was a selector switch that would cut off one unit so the other could cool and vice versa. Might Kurt's unit have such? Sorry I can't remember the manufacturer. Herman
