Bud, Welcome to the Forum, I have never towed without air brakes. Most any unit you find will need air of some sort to push the pedal. Roadmaster has one as well as Buddy Brake. They both are removable units and they all will need your tow vehicle to be run for 5 to 10 minutes at least twice a day when traveling unless you add a charging wire from the coach to the tow vehicle. The air pump can run your battery down. M & G Engineering makes a unit that you don't have to remove but again, air pump. So there are several nice unit out there and they all are good. Herman

He has now sold it, but since he lives in Searcy and has the annual Rally in the Pasture on his place. several folks have their windows repaired during the rally. The RV Doctors crew will come to the farm, remove your window, repair is an return it the same day. Gunny, Lot of these MHs have mystery drains on them. The next time you have them charged fully, disconnect the Ground Terminal. Check them after a day or two. If they are still discharging then you might have defective units. However if they are still fully charged then you have something really drawing on them. If you can you might consider a small smart 10 amp/trickle charger. A smart charger will maintain the batteries and not over charge (boil) them. Good luck with your back, I know the feeling. Herman

Roy PPL started as Consignment RV Dealer. They have sections for Motor Homes, Travel Trailers and Fifth Wheels. They have service facilities and a RV store. Along with that they have a great RV Parts Department. Their only draw back is that they need a couple more folks on the Parts Dept. phones. They have three locations, Houston, New Braunfels and a new location in Cleburne. They all have consignments and a RV Store but only Houston has the Parts Department. Goggle them. Herman

lamsan, Welcome to the Forum. To me it isn't so much what the floor plan is as to what I would like. Pro.: Bath and a half. King size bed. Residential Refrigerator. Recliner Washer and Dryer. Outlets on the walls not under the cabinets. Negatives: Ornate Scroll on the ceilings. Too many mirrors. Cabinet right over the bathroom sink. Too small of holding tanks. Front door too narrower. Good morning Gunny, It seem that you may not be familiar with Coach Batteries. Take the pictures to your local Inter-State dealer, show him what you have. He will be able to tell you what you have. He can also tell you the cost to replace what you have with the same batteries you have now. There are some good Walmart locations that can do the same. The reason I mentioned these two places is Service. Most every place you travel you will find either one or the other and in most cases both. They both have good warranties. Herman

Bill, I'm impressed that you will change your own tires. That is one of those things, for me, better left to the younger pros. As I have aged, 78, I have learned that there are many things that I do needed better (easier) ways to do them. I don't squat down to do things, I either use a mechanics stool or a kneeling pad with handles. One thing I use when filling my batteries is a pump up sprayer. I got a new one, removed the nozzle and fill it with distilled water. When I need to service my batteries I just pump up the sprayer and top off each cell. When doing the heavy jobs, it helps to have two healthy son living close by. I disagree with Carl, there is one "Dumb" question. I ask it to myself often, "Why didn't I ask someone?". In our area, I went to go the CW, in Denton, TX, for all the trinkets I thought I had to have when we first started. Never for any work of any kind. As Carl says I go to HD, Lowes and Wally World for most every thing I need. If there is a repair part I need I either go United RV in Haltom City (Ft. Worth) or online. I have found that PPL in Houston has a good parts selection. Most work I can do, I do myself with the help from the Forum. All other work goes to shops that I know and trust. Herman

Carl, The list could be long. The same with my Silverado. However some time after 2012 GM put the steering wheel lock back in. Also there is something about the newer vehicles with electronic steering that needs power with the key in the accessory position. On my 2003 Yukon on my first trip I left the key in the accessory position and it racked up mileage. I am afraid that I don't have any knowledge about the new steering systems. Herman

Joe Your DW is correct about you teenager getting bored when attending the winter Rally. However in the summer Rally they put together a bunch of activities for the youths. While you can't make August 21016 still look at the 2016 program and see what they have for the teenagers. Herman

Bryan, There is a company that makes a spare tire carrier that works in conjunction with your receiver hitch. If I remember it can fold down so the tire can be lowered. Brett may recall the name. I have seen them at different rallies. Herman

Roland, The steak Bill is speaking of is at the Big Tex Steak house on I-40 in Amarillo. When it first opened many years ago it was on Route 66. They have a 72 oz. with potatoes, salad and roll. All of which you must eat in one hour. If you do it is free. If not you must pay. Once you start you can not leave the table. If you throw up you are through. They have a wall full of those that have eaten the whole thing. However there are many more that did not eat the whole thing then those that did. It is one of those places you have to go to at least once in your travels. Herman

Lyle, you might also pour some bleach down each drain let it sit for a short period of time then flush throughly. Then I would flush the entire fresh water system. Add bleach to a full tank, drive a short distance then run water through all faucets both hot and cold till you smell the bleach. Let the system sit for a while then drain tank and refill and flush till you can no longer smell bleach. System should be sanitized. Herman

Sorry Roland, I got carried away with all the great places between Tenn. and AZ. Gladewater is way south of I-30. Shallow Creek is still a nice C/G but a little far south. If you go I-40 there are several Parks in Amarillo. On the West of Amarillo there is the small town of Vega. On the Business I-20 there is a good over night stop, I believe the name is Walnut RV Park. If you go through the Dallas/Ft. Worth on I-30 I would pick up I-20 (I-635) and skirt the southern side of Dallas. And staying on I-20 you do the same to Ft. Worth. I-20 and I-30 merge into I-20 on the West side of Ft. Worth. In Weatherford there is a nice park, Oak Creek. It is right on I-20. Nice park with level concrete pads. With the dropping of the pricing of oil, you should find plenty of RV Parks in the Midland/Odessa area. When going through Midland check out the Comparative Air Force at the Midland/Odessa Airport. As said before watch the weather on the roads west of both Amarillo and Abilene. This time of year the weather can be nice one day and rough the next. Enjoy your trip and AZ. Herman

Parks that drain their system will normally have water near the office where you can fill your tank before parking. Herman
