No power to slides, radio, wiper, leveler on 2005 Fleetwood
hermanmullins replied to brothers2016's topic in Electrical
Which coach do you have? Without the model it's hard to tell if it's gas or diesel. Do the mentioned items work only when the switch it on? If so you may have the accessory solenoid defective. You can check it to see if, with the ignition on, do you have power to both sides of the solenoid? If not you may need to replace the solenoid. When purchasing the solenoid be sure to get a continuous 12 volt solenoid. Somewhere in my very old gray matter a #55 pops up. Herman -
Sorry in your first commit I thought you said "We replaced the fan motor and it still smells like it is burning up". The only thing I would suggest is going back and check for chard wires. Sorry I couldn't be of more help . Herman

Brothers2016, Welcome to the Forum. It sounds to me as if the Battery switch is tripped (aka Salesman Switch). Most of the time it is close to the entry door. Again Welcome, Herman -
I am not good with Fiber Glass work, so if it were mine I would be talking with an RV body shop. They have the experience to make such repairs Herman

Was the fan motor burnt? if so it may be residue for the burnt motor. Any smoke? Herman

Check the compartment on drivers side in front of the front wheel. There should be two silver solenoids. With the key on you should have power on both sides of each solenoid. If not there is your bad solenoid. Herman

Check for a bad instrument solenoid. Had one on our's go out. It's not the shops fault. Everything can be working fine, the shut it down and next time guage's won't work Herman

Jim, might I suggest that you call Allison at HWH and ask for a tech. The tech can direct you to a solution. 563-724-3396 Herman

wybuck12 The M&G system is a great unit. And from what I am hearing you have a good bit of mechanical knowledge. That being said may I make one suggestion. Call Monty at M&G (903-675-2812) set up an appointment and let them install your first unit. Monty will be more than willing to have you watch and learn. They will also plumb your airline. After you have observed it once you can do it yourself. I had one installed and have moved it to my forth unit. ( by the way tell Monty you would like a re manufactured unit same warranty and will save you money. Tell Monty I sent you, it wont save you any money but he may give you a bottle of water. Herman

May sound dumb on my part but have you checked under the bed? Some Design Engineers are sadist. Herman

With a gas absorption unit it is plugged into two different 110 volt power sources. One is from the inverter to power the refrigerator. The second one is from shore or generator power for the ice maker (so it will not operate when in motion.) If the residential refrigerator it should be plugged into the 110 volt inverter plug. that will provide power all the time whether moving or connected to shore power or on generator. With all that being said, that is how mine works (residential for over 5 years). In our 2002 Monaco Dynasty, when the engine is running it charges both the chassis and the house batteries. Herman

Mike, Welcome to the Forum. Congratulations on the new tow vehicle. There are several good manufacturers of tow bars on the market. My self, I prefer the Blue Ox and M&G braking system. I have no experience with the NSA components. Here is the information from FMCA Towing Guide for the 2019 GMC GMC MODEL TRANSMISSION-AUTO-MANUAL--DRIVE CONFIGURATION--SPEED/DISTANCE LIMITS--APPROX CURB WEIGHT--TOTAL LENGTH Acadia 3.6-liter1,2,4 Yes N/A All-wheel drive 65 mph/None 4,207 lbs. 193.6 in. Acadia 3.6-liter1,2,4 Yes N/A Front-wheel drive 65 mph/None 4,031 lbs. 193.6 in. Canyon1,3 Yes No Four-wheel drive None 4,140 lbs. 212.4 in. Sierra 15001,3 Yes N/A Four-wheel drive None 4,738 lbs. 210.8 in. Sierra 2500HD/3500HD1,3 Yes N/A Four-wheel drive None 6,382 lbs. 230.0 in. Yukon1,3 Yes N/A Four-wheel drive None 5,743 lbs. 203.9 in. Yukon XL1,3 Yes N/A Four-wheel drive None 5,965 lbs. 224.4 in. ¹ Use of a shield mounted in front of the vehicle grille could restrict airflow and cause damage to the transmission. ² Before flat towing, be sure the transmission fluid is at the proper level. The vehicle should be run at the beginning of each day and at each RV fuel stop for about five minutes. ³ Only vehicles that have a two-speed transfer case with a Neutral and a four-wheel-drive low setting can be towed four wheels down. Disconnect the negative battery cable and secure the nut and bolt. Cover the negative battery post with nonconductive material to prevent contact with the negative battery terminal. ⁴ Once the destination has been reached, start the engine and let it idle for more than three minutes before driving the vehicle Good Luck and happy travels Herman

Does it kick the breaker without the fan? Maybe you have a short in the fan. Have you tried the fan in another outlet? Sorry these are what just popped onto my head. Herman

Easy way to test. Unplug from shore power and try to run it. If your inverter is on and it runs you are good to go. If not you would need the generator. Herman

Who, What, When, Where or Just Lets Talk
hermanmullins replied to hermanmullins's topic in General Discussion
Carl, can you give me more information. Then I can see about getting it corrected. In the mean time, if you haven't already done so, try rebooting your computer. Sometimes it helps. Herman -
Anybody use a store-bought log book?
hermanmullins replied to urbanhermit's topic in Type A motorhomes
My log is my Capitol One and Sam's Master card bills. All camp site go on Capitol One and all fuel on MC. Then just wait for the bills. Wow good or Wow bad, but it doesn't change anything. We still go and enjoy every minute of it. Ready to roll now but Bobbie is recuperating for knee replacement. End of first week and she is doing great. Herman -

Wayne, one way to delete something that you had rather not had post, click on edit and erase it all and click on save. Your post will then be shown an blank. Sorry, but anytime you are one of the monitors edits a post it will show "Edited X hours or minutes ago by xxxxxx. I for one do not edit someones post for spelling. I consider it a challenge to see if I can decipher what the word or meaning was meant be. Herman -
Close Enough, Also welcome to the Forum. It sound like you have a bad "Start/Run" Capacitor. Most of the ones I have seen have had their cases split. See the attached picture of the capacitor from my coach. No commits about what it looks like. Herman
