What he said. Now go out and buy a six pack of beer with the savings and relish the moment. I just love it when a plan comes together.

This does present some serious problems as well. Convictions by civil authorities can cause you to lose retirement benefits. Drunk driving while retired? Smoking marijuana where it is illegal? Adultery after retirement? Disrespect to the President? Just to name a few. Military Retirees subject to UCMJ

Whether DTV or DISH, they all have their problems. I switched from DTV many many moons ago to DISH and never regretted it. Now I have the Hopper 3 at home and it is capable of recording 16 channels simultaneously. I can't watch that many channels so we just record a few we like. As for local channels when on the road, and I have the Wally receiver for the MH. It is not as robust as the Hopper 3 but serves our purpose. We pay an additional $7.00 a month to have the Wally in the MH and we can turn it off for the months we don't use it. Lorne, consider asking to speak with a supervisor and when push comes to shove tell them you will not consider moving to DISH Network. That usually starts some kindling smoldering and you may get what you want, a switch of all to one account. Good luck.

Try looking at a GM Windcruiser. They have a protrusion on the back that may fit the bill. I"m at Fort Sam Houston and we have one in the park.

The article had me worried there at the beginning as I was wondering how thr DEF in the tank would be affected. I find it strange that DEF stored in its original container is affected but DEF in the vehicles DEF tank is not.

How do I Purchase Fuel without Dollar Limits
wayne77590 replied to jeffdaley's topic in Type A motorhomes
Ha ha! I've fooled them several times. Our CC company issues us two cards, one for me, one for her. The numbers are different but the account is the same. They did this i case a card was lost or stolen then they could stop that card and the other would be good until new cards could be issued. I like the policy. So when my card fills up at the pump I use the other card with a different number. it is not the CC company but the vendor. Don't ask a clerk as they have no idea. -
Do you have a model number on the 3rd generation OTA adapter?

Maker of slide out. Controller model of slide out. All would be helpful in trying to give you some help. We may have a different model MH but we may have the same slideout mechanism and controls.

How do you raise the tire(s) of the ground. Not with the leveling system I hope.

That's a good route Carl. More than one way to get there.

At my age Happy Hour is a nap. Twomcool, You probably have your trip planned out but if you are taking your time. Here is one way to avoid Houston, although I personally don't feel it is that bad to drive through Houston. Pick up Hwy 105 in Beaumont, TX and follow it all the way to Navasota, TX. In Navasota take Hwy 6 south to Hempstead, then Hwy 159 to Bellville, and then 36 to I-10. For those that don't like city driving the 105 route is much less stressful. Where will you be staying in SA? Congratulations on winning.

Who, What, When, Where or Just Lets Talk

Many years ago we went with my in-law to Blanco State Park. Nice park. Don't think it can accommodate my 43 footer though. Carl, what happens if you need some thing on the roof replaced, do they come back out for free to touch it up> -

Get one that's fresh road kill. It is flatter and can be folded up and put in a smaller pot. -
Ugh Should we buy a Extended Service Plan
wayne77590 replied to natinsky's topic in Extended Service Policies
It's like any insurance, be happy to have it when you need it and be darned if you don't have it and need it. Our last MH was very costly for us and the ESP people. For us 'cause we had to pay the premium. Costly for them because we had a lot of repairs. The problems most will have of squirreling away money in case of a break down is the availability of that money for a rainy day. Five years from now that cruise to the Bahamas could come up and then say, "What the heck, I have never needed it and I can build it up again." Well it's a 50/50 chance that something will or will not go wrong. Personally, I have one and it includes gaskets and seals. -
Blue Ridge Parkway in a Class A
wayne77590 replied to Scotialaddie's question in Destinations/Attractions
The tunnels are a major concern. The web site for the Blue Ridge Parkway Tunnels gives good information. They used to provide a ranger to stop the flow of traffic so higher vehicles could use the center of the tunnel. I don't think they do that anymore and advise to detour around the tunnel. Check the web site. -
You are welcome. One way to see what RV Parks are in the area is to google that area. Then, in the google "Search The Web" box put in "RV Parks." It will not be all-inclusive and may have some hotel/motel listing but it is a good start for anywhere along your route. Also, Camp Ground Reviews is a good source of information. There are others that are apps, like rvparky. koa, allstays, etc. for planning. There are more in the Galveston area and using campgroundreviews.com will list them. If you have a specific question on any one park, give a holler.

Do you have a coach that has air brakes. If so you should have an on-board outlet valve that tow trucks use to tow. I have filled 22.5 inch tires up to 110 psi. If you add the information on your RV in your signature line it will be easier to get answers.

Places to stay on I-10 between San Antonio & El Paso
wayne77590 replied to zeboray's topic in Campgrounds
If we have to go I-10 we always try and make it to Kerrville, TX, then it is 250 or so miles to Fort Stockton (old KOA) and then to Las Cruces about 285 miles. Fort Stockton to El Paso if you really have to stop there is 240 or so miles. Very boring ride. -
Just 'cause I want to mention it, presently at 0846 hours it is 51 degrees. Tomorrow will only be about 70˚ and the in the mid to higher 70's for at least 10 day. I hate being below 70˚. Next year I'm heading South for the Winter. We always head North for the Summer. Not much time in the S&B.
