  1. How do you raise the tire(s) of the ground. Not with the leveling system I hope.
  2. Qualquer um pode escrever português e lê-lo. Alos norueguê One does have to watch out for big hammers though,
  3. Regardless of who or how, make sure your better half is with you when you hide your own Easter Eggs, or you may never find them. Happy Easter!
  4. That's a good route Carl. More than one way to get there.
  5. At my age Happy Hour is a nap. Twomcool, You probably have your trip planned out but if you are taking your time. Here is one way to avoid Houston, although I personally don't feel it is that bad to drive through Houston. Pick up Hwy 105 in Beaumont, TX and follow it all the way to Navasota, TX. In Navasota take Hwy 6 south to Hempstead, then Hwy 159 to Bellville, and then 36 to I-10. For those that don't like city driving the 105 route is much less stressful. Where will you be staying in SA? Congratulations on winning.
  6. Many years ago we went with my in-law to Blanco State Park. Nice park. Don't think it can accommodate my 43 footer though. Carl, what happens if you need some thing on the roof replaced, do they come back out for free to touch it up>
  7. We leave for Miller Creek RV Park on the 14th and will be there until the 25th, then SA for 10 days or so.
  8. Get one that's fresh road kill. It is flatter and can be folded up and put in a smaller pot.
  9. It's like any insurance, be happy to have it when you need it and be darned if you don't have it and need it. Our last MH was very costly for us and the ESP people. For us 'cause we had to pay the premium. Costly for them because we had a lot of repairs. The problems most will have of squirreling away money in case of a break down is the availability of that money for a rainy day. Five years from now that cruise to the Bahamas could come up and then say, "What the heck, I have never needed it and I can build it up again." Well it's a 50/50 chance that something will or will not go wrong. Personally, I have one and it includes gaskets and seals.
  10. The tunnels are a major concern. The web site for the Blue Ridge Parkway Tunnels gives good information. They used to provide a ranger to stop the flow of traffic so higher vehicles could use the center of the tunnel. I don't think they do that anymore and advise to detour around the tunnel. Check the web site.
  11. You are welcome. One way to see what RV Parks are in the area is to google that area. Then, in the google "Search The Web" box put in "RV Parks." It will not be all-inclusive and may have some hotel/motel listing but it is a good start for anywhere along your route. Also, Camp Ground Reviews is a good source of information. There are others that are apps, like rvparky. koa, allstays, etc. for planning. There are more in the Galveston area and using campgroundreviews.com will list them. If you have a specific question on any one park, give a holler.

  13. Do you have a coach that has air brakes. If so you should have an on-board outlet valve that tow trucks use to tow. I have filled 22.5 inch tires up to 110 psi. If you add the information on your RV in your signature line it will be easier to get answers.
  14. If we have to go I-10 we always try and make it to Kerrville, TX, then it is 250 or so miles to Fort Stockton (old KOA) and then to Las Cruces about 285 miles. Fort Stockton to El Paso if you really have to stop there is 240 or so miles. Very boring ride.
  15. Just 'cause I want to mention it, presently at 0846 hours it is 51 degrees. Tomorrow will only be about 70? and the in the mid to higher 70's for at least 10 day. I hate being below 70?. Next year I'm heading South for the Winter. We always head North for the Summer. Not much time in the S&B.
  16. If it is anything like EternaBond, then yes, it will last a long, long time, if not forever.
  17. Two days here in the 50's but then up into the 70's and low 80's.
  18. Is that a new word, "Winterize?" On this date, 3/28/2019, at 1730 hours (5:30 for you civilians) it is 72?. If it drops 3 degrees it will be below freezing for my skin.
  19. Roland, sorry that we never got together for a meet. We live 16 miles from Stella Mare. We would have enjoyed showing you the sights.
  20. Al, remember that, "The journey is the destination."
  21. Joe, can your wife handle three dogs??
  22. Besides, I'd rather spend my time with fellow military than all those other jerks. Ooops! Sorry guys, didn't really mean it. ?
  23. Just two questions. Who's sheets and towels do you want to use? Who's bed do you want to sleep on. Depending on the size, figure about a full tank of gas round trip, and go from there.
