  1. I would definitely make a cardboard or tin contraption with a hole in it to put in one of the smaller windows to vent out the humidity.
  2. In 1961 as a young LCpl (E-3) I got in line to get paid. When it was my turn the pay master said, "No Pay Due." They had overpaid me somewhere down the line by about $350. If it had not been for my folks and Earlene's folks and the Navy Relief Society we would have starved to death. Spaghetti with catchup and pinto beans were the daily meals. We had enough fuel for 3 weeks to heat the place. The other week we stayed in bed to keep warm. Of course that was fun. Earlene had to stay home, not working so she put up with it more than I did.
  3. Pay master for me in the early 60's was every 2 weeks.
  4. I use Wash-Wax-All, also. Really great product.
  5. Aw, you went back and edited it, I know. Thanks.

    TailpipeRust

Big difference between tail pipe and tail pipe tip. Which is it?
  7. Roger, Thanks for the reply, I do understand what you are saying. Unfortunately I'm not an engineer and I have to look at the simple things and I am not able to perform forensic investigation on a tire. Now, if it is a computer I can do forensic investigation or could when I was an IT Security Specialist, A few years ago I posted a zipper blow out on an inside dual. Same dual that was flat in my driveway after taking it out of storage. It was 1000 miles or later that the blow out occurred, I replaced both duals on that side knowing that most likely the other may have weakened, I enjoy your blog, Thanks
  8. Probably keep a lot of people away also.
  9. Earlene asked me to vacuum once. When she saw me pulling on the cord to start it she told me to stop. I don't have to vacuum anymore. We worry about the pet, Miya The Dog. When we start our summer trip I use FrontLine as an added supplement to her oral medicines. So far so good.
  10. Never had to try that, but good to know. Both of our toilets are Tecma electric flush. However, if I hold both buttons in the toilet will flush, valves close and the water level is set when I release the two buttons. I keep the water just above the 1" hole.
  11. Good Sam Platinum is $145 a year and they will tow unlimited miles. Look it up.
  12. Many years ago I started using Calgon water softener in my black tank. I would put two cap-fulls of Calgon into the holding tank. I personally think that it made big difference when dumping.
  13. A dealer around us sold WB's but eventual dropped that line. I purchased my last WB from them and had no problem. Just last month I stopped by to see if they would look at a problem and was told that since I didn't buy it there they would not work on it. I got the problem solved by myself but it was very disappointing to hear their reply.
  14. There have been been several campgrounds around here built in the last year or so. As Carl implied, not good for summer time. Temps here have been in the 90's this past couple weeks. It is going to be interesting this coming Winter to see how filled they are. My guess is that they will be quite full. We are traveling again this summer to escape the heat. Could not leave earlier because of commitments. We have reservations all the way through the middle of August. This is something we do not usually do but the past couple years, even though we found places, they were booking up quickly. Now we just have to plan from August through October. Guess I better get started.
  15. Kay, I had difficulty finding it then I did a search on the web page for "Directory" and I found it. It is the big red square on the left side. Has "ghost" people and a magnifying glass. It does say "Membership Directory." It would have been nice to put it in the drop down like previous versions of the web site. Oh well! If it wasn't for change we'd all be stuck in a rut.
  16. The number exists. It may not be published because of non-payment of dues (not sure on that one) but it is there. Once a number is assigned it is always associated with that name, or a family member's name if handed down. At least that is the way it used to be....not really sure anymore what's going on.
  17. Dog's front paws. I never noticed a big ridge on the outside post/window divider of a vehicle before. Appears the whole picture has been fabricated for audiences.
  18. Typical trailer tires are rated for 65 mph. Many TT and 5th wheel owners change out the tires to truck tires with a higher MPH rating. Years ago when I had a 5th wheel on of the stated items was to inflate the tires to the max tire inflation pressure indicated on the tire. I ran the max pressure on my 5er tires. Tireman, is this still true?
  19. The iRV2.com web site has a wealth of information for all types of RVs. The RVillage.com web site is nice for seeing who is in the area, letting friends know where you are, and keeping up with friends and groups.
  20. No, but I am very interested in this. I did a cursory search some time back but didn't come up with anything. Made me search again, refined: Wireless Temp Monitors
  21. I need to study harder, I think I failed.
  22. Whoopee! I went out on a limb and it didn't break. Happy to hear that it is fixed.
  23. That would be their mistake. I recently watch a video, you may have shared it, where a car jacker approached the vehicle, tapped on the glass with the barrel of a pistol and then was shot from inside the car by the victim. Works for me. Protect life or property.
