  1. Very happy to hear that. Tell her to be careful with extra PT as it can damage as easily as it can heal. To much can hurt.
  2. Oh, she's like Earlene, she plays cards. (Visa, MC, AmEx, etc.) I don't know why they like to play those cards so much. Canasta is so much cheaper.
  3. I have the Thinkware X500D dash cam. Just a simple one that records in 1 minute or so segments and will loop when the card is full erasing the oldest. I'll wager that most dash cams do that. It will also record and save 20 seconds of any crash. Mine will do that when we hit a good bump, thinking it is a crash. It also has a rear view camera with enough cord for a car. Don't know if it is enough for a MH. As previously stated I don't worry about behind me as I already have a rear view camera and mirrors that I check. Thinkware has newer cameras out and based on the one I have I would purchase another from them. However, I would look for reviews first.
  4. Some systems will not allow a 128gb card. Many are 64gb max. Amazon has one for $40. (Micro SD) and $36 for SD card.
  5. What type controller do you have? Pictures worth many words.
  6. Ouch! I have a slide that goes on behind the drier seat all the way to the back bathroom. It has the TV, Recliner, Dinette, Residential refrigerator, pantry, two clothes closets (Hers and hers with a little mine) I have not idea what it is rated for. Looks like a major overhaul of your slide Carl,
  7. Carl, as you an see by the above posts there are two different thoughts oh controllers based on the links given. My controller is like what like Dkruezen posted (like but different 0 same size different configuration) My controllers, which are basically computer chips maintain synchronization between the motors. The chips have a memory function and count the RPM on extending/retracting the slide. In my case, and I don't know about others, the motors can get out of sync, or another way of putting it - looses its memory. That is when I push the reset button 6 times and hold it on the 7th push until the light flashes. Then I can go in and move the slide. The biggest problem with this override is that it is just that, an override and it bypasses all safety systems of the slide system. Typically a slide side should not be moved more than 2 inches from its other side motor. There is a lot of torque on the motors and when it is in the override mode sever damage can be done to the slide. Again, this is for my system and I'll wager that your older model is different. Even my 2008 had a synchronization problem from time to time with it being a completely hydraulic system, and I had to push the reset button and walk the slide in with the in and out buttons. Those slides were Kwikee slides. So my opinion is that the symptoms of slide controller problems is low or no voltage getting to the motor called "Hall Effect" or controller looses memory and requires the manual override to reset it. And my other thought is that it controls the voltage to the motors to maintain synchronization so that both ends come in at the same time. Anyhow, that's my story and I'm sticking to it until the experts get here.
  8. Yes, he also owns Michigan City CG, name is Tim, son is Joey. Joey runs the operation here and Tim runs MC.
  9. When I had a 5th wheel many of the 5er community installed the Amish system. They swore by it.
  10. This campground we are in, Pla-Mor, Bremen, IN. has a grill and the hamburgers are great but better yet they have Hershey's ice cream and a double scoop overflows the waffle cone and goes all the way to the bottom. I'm trying to restrict myself to every other day, but it is very difficult. Every time I go over there to get some I say to myself, "I'll only get one scoop this time." Then I get there and a different little man of the many in my head comes to the front and all my thinking goes out the door. They have 150 permanent residents here for the season. This labor day weekend there were, at least, 250 additional RV'ers that came into the park. Then never ran out of ice cream. BTW, they added a nice pool and increased the seasonal rate $200 a season. That brings it to $1630.00 for a season, May-Oct, about 180 days. That is about $9 a day, plus pay for electricity. I guess they save up for the big pay when they all migrate to Florida.
  11. Carl, I probably wasn't even in Kindergarten yet!👻
  12. FYI for anyone else: The LCI controller pictured above can control Schwintek or Power Gear slides. You can tell the difference by the track that moves the slide. A PowerGear track is a typical rack and pinion, that is straight out teeth on the track. A Schwintek slide's track looks like a snake, or U's turned end on end. In either case, when extending or retracting a slide such as these do not reverse the direction of travel once it has started. This "can" cause the motors to go out of sync. If you need to stop the slide, continue in the same direction and then reverse it once it has stopped. Also, always hold the rocker switch in the direction of travel for 5 seconds or more once the slide has stopped to let the motors sync with each other. The controller will blink a code when something is wrong however it is not always the right code as I found out. Mine blinked a code indicating "Hall" voltage. Meaning voltage was not getting to the motor. Placing voltage on the wires going to the motor let my slide move so it was not the wires cause voltage was getting to the motor. Year or coach may have very different controllers.
  13. The darn controller can be anywhere. Look in the bays on the ceiling of the bay, center of the bay. it is one place they hide them. Some Mfg's used Shwintek controllers for power gear slides. Ask me how I know. If it is that type controller there should be a little button next to a LED. Use a ball point pen (I use a chopstick - hey, it's made in China.) and push the button six time and on the seventh time hold it in. The light should blink rapidly. Go run the switch in and if the slide comes in continue to hold the rocker switch in for a minimum of 5 seconds. Whenever you run the slide in or out always hold the switch for 5 seconds or longer. If everything is quiet you may hear one of the motors cinch up when the other stops. It is the memory in the controller allowing it to sync with the other motor. All this is if it is that type controller. You may wonder how I am so smart in this area. Did I tell you I am 18 miles from Lippert and I spent some time there 3 weeks ago? They ended up changing out one of my motors. Controller may look like this:
  14. Sorry, haven't been on all day. You say hydraulic so I'm assuming you have the black rectangular control panel with a touch pad configuration, one in button to push and one out button to push. If so, is there a little pin hole at the top of the rectangle? If so, use a toothpick and push it into that hole and hold it there until the light flashes, then use the in and out buttons alternately and see if the slide will cinch up. This is the typical over-ride for bringing the slide in. However, it has to be used carefully and never have one side come in more than 2 or so inches than the other. The other option for that type of controller if there is not pin-hole is to remove it and see if there is a button on the back (reset) and push it then alternately use the in/out button to bring the slide in. This all assumes you have the controllers I'm thinking of. 😀
  15. What antenna on the MH do you have for the Hopper and is it the Hopper 3?
  16. I believe Coleman makes a replacement AirXcel model.
  17. My brother lives in Central Mass and we have looked all over Mass. for suitable CG's and, except for what I hear about Normamdy, there are not good CG's in Mass. We have been all over looking for one within an hour or so ride from family and gave up. We would not stay at any of them. We have heard the Normandy Farm park is good.
  18. Had a roof replaced a few years ago on our 2008 after hail damage. Cost the insurance company $19,000.
  19. As expected, and thanks for the update. Another fine place is Houston Freightliner just down the road from Cummins but reservations would be necessary with their backlog. I believe they are now an Oasis Shop.
  20. I have family in New England and we always take I-84 across the Hudson.
  21. We have been to the Left Coast several times going in at San Diego or Oceanside. We have traveled The 101 every time in a 40' towing a car and have never had a problem. In Calif., if towing, the speed limit is 55 and is reasonable as far as we are concerned. We have taken several side trips on the PCH in the toad and would never take a 40' towing on that highway. Stopping at CG's along The 101 and side trips are the way to go. If you can plan it, stay around Ferndale, CA., and take a side trip in the Toad along the Lost Coast Hwy. Start in Ferndale and take Mattole Rd down to Petrolia. Little restaurant/tavern on the left going in. Stop for a sandwich. Continiue on Mattole Rd and it will take you through a part of the Humboldt Redwood State Forest and back onto The 101. Head back to the RV. Great side trip but don't try it in the MH.
  22. According to their web site, "Maryland weigh stations require all trucks over 5 tons to weigh." My motorhome is not registered as a truck.
