Before spending the money on injectors I would run a tank of fuel with extra rich mix of Diesel Kleene. I would be using a good full synthetic oil like Shell Rotella T-6 5-40. I would also follow the link that Brett posted. Bill

Suspension Upgrades: 2002 Freightliner XC Chassis
wildebill308 replied to greamie's topic in Modifications
Welcome to the forum. The first thing I would do is get an all wheel alignment. My rear axel was off and they had to adjust that. Then replace the rubber bushings in the sway bar with polyurethane bushings they are superior to rubber ones. Hear is a link to where I did my bushings. http://community.fmca.com/topic/8004-sway-bar-bushings-bad/ See if Newmar added a rear sway bar. Check your shocks. I would weigh the coach and adjust the tire pressure. I would do this before I spent money on a steering stabilizer. Bill -
Updating Drab Looking Entry Well Stairs - 2003 Monaco Cayman 36PBD

Not picking on you but one of my pet peeves with the RV industry is they never prime , seal or paint wood that is in places water can get to it. When you look under a new coach there is no paint on bare metal no paint on exposed wood. Press on you are doing great. Bill -

New Water Pump Will Not Prime
wildebill308 replied to jenmacias2015's topic in Systems and Appliances
I think this is one of those things that isn't in the documentation and when you ask the factory they say well everyone knows that. Now I hope that is the problem for the OP. Bill- 18 replies

New Water Pump Will Not Prime
wildebill308 replied to jenmacias2015's topic in Systems and Appliances
Jim, you are right. When I was getting ready for a trip I had put some water in the tank and was going to wash my hands after putting the hose away and the pump would run but no water. I said some unpleasant things before I found the valve in the wrong position. Bill- 18 replies

I think a much better plan is to install a "Extend a Stay" type of adapter and just hook in a extra tank. I wouldn't go over a 40# tank. I had a 60# but it only had one hand hold in the top and was hard to move, yes and it was heavy over 100# full. https://www.amazon.com/s/?ie=UTF8&keywords=extend+a+stay+propane+kit&tag=mh0b-20&index=aps&hvadid=77721773822668&hvqmt=b&hvbmt=bb&hvdev=c&ref=pd_sl_8hrqmhf2fg_b Bill

"Oh, stop whining, or is that wineing. You can always fill it up...... again." Only if it is a good vintage. Well ok if you insist. Bill -
Mypopslou. you need to take a vacation South. We are going to have a cold front through here with some temps in the upper 20's at night. But if you go down to the Valley they are in the low 80's today. Harlingen, Texas, in the valley is 80 today but will cool to bout 60 tonight. www.intellicast.com/Local/WxMap.aspx?latitude=32.75&longitude=-97.33&zoomLevel=8&opacity=1&basemap=0014&layers=0039 Bill

Next time you have to remove some thing like that a stiff putty knife (about 2") sharpened like a chisel and a heat gun will help. Drive the edge under the bottom layer and let it set with some heat on it. The glue will release. Great job of getting the old plywood out. Bill -
Carl, still closer than when he left Michigan a couple of days ago. You might spend some time finding the rattles and doing a couple upgrades and spent more money on travel. Bill
-
I doubt it is the J hooks. It could be the spring tension in the arms or the wiper blades. You might try a different brand of blade or even a 28" blade it will only be 2" shorter on each end. Bill

I forgot about that noisy shelf. It became standard practice to remove it before travel. I also had a front wheel cover that was a little loose. It would make noise on some bumps till I tightened it up. Roland, you don't need too convince me go buy a new coach. Bill
-
The hi way crew that can install a transition joint on or off bridges and smooth expansion joints should get a raise. Roland, remember you are driving something on a truck chasse not a passenger car. I would go drive several different coaches over rough roads and see if you see a difference. You passed near a good place to do that at Texas Motor Coach in Nacogdoches Texas just north of I-20 above Houston. If you were staying in town there are several around the DFW area. Bill

My 15 year old Bounder 38N is fairly quiet. Some wind noise I haven't figured out yet but not to bad. It took some time finding and fixing all the little things. Rubber shelf lining helps and like Brett said have some one listen and try to isolate what is making noise when going down the road. It could be in the front compartments to. My front access panel for the generator was out of adjustment and needed new rubber ends in the door stops. I would go drive some other rigs and see how they compare. Bill

Shenandoah Mountain RV Camping
wildebill308 replied to f004014d's question in Destinations/Attractions
Use the apps I posted to find a place for the coach then use your toad to find "the mountain experience, not the valley." Bill -
Sam, thanks for the added information. I would guess the brakes on your toad are a little tight and cause more drag. Or is there a adjustment on your Invisabrake for adjusting the sensitivity of the unit? Bill
