  1. Some things are hard to diagnose with out hands on. Bill
  2. Next time you have to remove some thing like that a stiff putty knife (about 2") sharpened like a chisel and a heat gun will help. Drive the edge under the bottom layer and let it set with some heat on it. The glue will release. Great job of getting the old plywood out. Bill
  3. Carl, still closer than when he left Michigan a couple of days ago. You might spend some time finding the rattles and doing a couple upgrades and spent more money on travel. Bill
  4. I doubt it is the J hooks. It could be the spring tension in the arms or the wiper blades. You might try a different brand of blade or even a 28" blade it will only be 2" shorter on each end. Bill
  5. I forgot about that noisy shelf. It became standard practice to remove it before travel. I also had a front wheel cover that was a little loose. It would make noise on some bumps till I tightened it up. Roland, you don't need too convince me go buy a new coach. Bill
  6. The hi way crew that can install a transition joint on or off bridges and smooth expansion joints should get a raise. Roland, remember you are driving something on a truck chasse not a passenger car. I would go drive several different coaches over rough roads and see if you see a difference. You passed near a good place to do that at Texas Motor Coach in Nacogdoches Texas just north of I-20 above Houston. If you were staying in town there are several around the DFW area. Bill
  7. My 15 year old Bounder 38N is fairly quiet. Some wind noise I haven't figured out yet but not to bad. It took some time finding and fixing all the little things. Rubber shelf lining helps and like Brett said have some one listen and try to isolate what is making noise when going down the road. It could be in the front compartments to. My front access panel for the generator was out of adjustment and needed new rubber ends in the door stops. I would go drive some other rigs and see how they compare. Bill
  8. That is a good idea Herman, I was thinking big auto parts store. Bill
  9. Use the apps I posted to find a place for the coach then use your toad to find "the mountain experience, not the valley." Bill
  10. Sam, thanks for the added information. I would guess the brakes on your toad are a little tight and cause more drag. Or is there a adjustment on your Invisabrake for adjusting the sensitivity of the unit? Bill
  11. Welcome to the forum. With out more information all I can say is OK. Bill
  12. The simple fix is to install a "J " hook adapter from Amazon. Bosch 3392390298 Wiper Blade Mounting Kit Or Anco 4817 380""/9.5Mm Strt End Conct - 17" Bill
  13. So you are on the road South now. Safe trip to you. Bill
  14. When you get caught in a heavy rain and your wipers aren't doing the job the money you saved buying cheap parts doesn't seam like as good of a deal. Bill
  15. Without more information I would go to PPL.com. They have 24 in universal for $16.73 and heavy duty for blades for as low as $26.29. https://www.pplmotorhomes.com/search?query=24"+wiper+blades Bill
  16. The best projects are those that give you an excuse to buy more tools. Bill
  17. Have you tried replacing the weather striping? Bill
  18. OK call me dense but I am not sure I see the screws. In the second picture did you see where the board that the roller is attached to is pulling away from the top structure? The staples are coming out. Bill
  19. You are lucky this year you get to burn all that old gas out of the snow blower. I don't fill up with out adding Diesel Kleen. fagnaml , Why do refinery's constantly produce diesel with a lower than recommended Cetane rating? Bill
  20. Once again I don't think you will have a problem. Put it on auto, Load it up and when the internal temps rise the refrigerator should start. The thermostats are on the inside of the box so outside temps should have no effect. You will have the furnace on warming the inside of the coach. Just keep an eye on it and let us know how it does. Bill
  21. Actually you are close, Barcelona Harbor , Westfield area. With that big storm going up the East coast I would just set back and let the snow get cleaned off before you get into it. Keep us informed. Bill
  22. Welcome to the forum. WOW I have never had the fridge to cold before a trip. My main problem has ben to get it cool enough to load. OK if you turn on the fridge, I would start on propane because it will be easier to see if the pilot light comes on. If you don't have a pilot you could just wait for it to warm up. The food you load it with will warm it enough to trigger the gas burner. Especially if you put some bottled water or warm sodas in it. With out knowing more about your RV I bet if you just put it on auto it will come on when needed. Let us know what you find out. Bill
  23. I do have some experience with "Lake Effect Snow". I grew up on lake Erie at the NY state line well 6 miles east. I had a uncle in Rochester who worked for Kodak. Where are you heading, what route? Bill
  24. richard5933, Just wanted to add you into this reply. I would not use any additive except Diesel Kleen which is approved and recommended by Cummins. http://powerservice.com/psp_product/diesel-fuel-supplement-cetane-boost/ I use it in every tank to help compensate for the poor diesel that is at the pumps. Bill
