  1. I think it just helps them to find the openings. Bill
  2. More like some are just guessing till the final version on the implementation regs. are written. Bill
  3. Thanks O great one. We hope you didn't catch anything to make you move quickly in your travels. If so let's hope it is deductible. Bill
  4. The gage you are looking for is a Exhaust Gas Temperature Gage or EGT. The sensor is installed in the exhaust before the turbo. I won't drive a (diesel) coach with out one. They provide a wealth of information on how your engine is performing. Bill
  5. You can look at the difference using this tool. https://tiresize.com/comparison/ with the 275 tires you gain 1.8 mph at 60 so you have a little overdrive. Bill
  6. I think it would be a good idea to set the ride height so the bags in front are at the exact same height. This is what I think is happening. When one bag is higher it is carrying more weight. They may be the same pressure but the taller bag will start lifting the weight on the front faster than the shorter bag. This is why the first thing they do when working on the front end is to adjust the ride hight. Bill
  7. Yes one of the only ones I have has that I thought was edible. Bill
  8. Depending on how cold it is I would run the block heater from 2-4 hours before start or if riley cold overnight. I would replace the thermostats with the proper temperature ones. By the way Cat calls them "regulators". "Had to clean the CAC and Radiator" This should be a at least yearly maintence item. The furnaces can't put moisture into the air if it is operating properly. The combustion chamber is separate from the air going into the coach. Cooking, showering and any open flame will add moisture. No heat pumps don't put out heat below about 45 deg. Bill
  9. www.enchantedtrails.com/about_us.html Has one. Bill
  10. MERRY CHRISTMAS. No unfortunately it seams the OP is not understanding what is going to be required to get that coach running. Some one told him clean the tank and that is all he want's to hear. Bill
  11. When going to Santa Fe we like Santa Fe Skies RV Park. For Indian art and jewelry we like Sissel's Fine Quality Indian Jewelry, it's the real deal and good prices. http://sisselsjewelry.com/ http://www.santafeskiesrvpark.com/ Last time in SF had lunch at Palacio Café, 209 East Palace Ave, SF NM. To many great places to eat in SF. Bill
  12. One of my favorite places. https://www.churchstreetcafe.com/ Bill
  13. MERRY CHRISTTMAS TO YOU!!! Bill
  14. I like Enchanted trails because of the location easy to down town and "Old Town". We stayed at American RV Resort across I-40 but it was 6 years ago nice place but keep coming back to Enchanted trails. Bill
  15. Welcome to the forum and Merry Christmas. I would try to get Cat to pay for the turbo, can't hurt as they had a lot of problems with the last engines before they pulled out of the over the road market. Also read what I posted earlier about finding a rebuilt turbo on the web. I like having a EGT gage so you can tell exactly what is happening temperature wise with the turbo. You can read what I posted earlier. When you start your engine once oil pressure comes up go to fast idle. this will insure complete combustion of the fuel and prevent unburned fuel from washing down your cylinder walls and contaminating your oil. Speaking of oil I am running Shell Rotella T-6 5-40 Full synthetic oil. It gives more protection to the engine and turbo. If you have questions feel free to ask
  16. Why did you wait so long to fix an obvious problem? Bill
  17. Welcome to the forum Gary. What we need is more information. what make and year of coach. What your brother needs is some one smart enough to clean all the DEF out of his fuel system and not just the tank. This will require (as Joe said) a complete tear down of the fuel system and repair/replacement of damaged parts. If you don't do this cleaning the fuel tank is a waste of money. Bill
  18. Welcome to the forum. I had a diesel generator that was doing just that. It was traced to silica crystals precipitating out of the coolant. They had used the wrong coolant. This was during my final PDI and the dealer had to replace the radiator. I recommend using only low silica antifreeze. Bill
  19. And you know, some thing,,,, what, wait, what were we talking about. Bill
  20. Wishing Everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Remember those who are serving so we can have a safe and happy new year. Bill
  21. Welcome to FMCA and welcome to the FMCA Forum. Bill
  22. Welcome to the forum. Help us out, what generator do you have, Gas or Diesel? If you put your coach and other information in your signature it will help to get good answers. See my signature as an example. You should have a owners manual in your big bag of documentation. However as a short cut I will recommend what I have ben using with excellent results. For my diesel generator I use Shell Rotella T-6 5-40. The same oil I use in the main engine. When I had a gas generator I used Mobil 1 15-50 full synthetic. Now with some of the newer oil's I would run the 0-40 or the 5-50 because it flows better when cold and protects better. Let us know what you find out. Bill
