  1. Welcome to the forum. I used polypropylene bushings, you can get them at most car parts stores. It made a big difference in how the coach drove. This should be a link to my post on changing muy bushings. http://community.fmca.com/topic/8004-sway-bar-bushings-bad/ Bill
  2. I am going to try the Continental HSL2 Eco Plus 275/80R22.5 load range G Price is $401.00 +FET. This should be close enough to the 255/80R22.5 that came on it that Continental does not offer. I have used several tire comparison programs and the difference is minimal. My main problem is geting the tire store trained up so they understand how to use the program. The outher is is finding inventory. I have one store that has the tires but can't seem to figure out the program and one that has used the program but can't get the tires. Bill
  3. Welcome to the FMCA Forum. I know how you feel. I am going through the same process. I am looking at The Continental program. It would also be good to know what the load range is, probably G or H Bill

    Tire Blowouts

Some people are just lucky. I wonder what tires he was running. Some of the 5th wheel crowd are running truck tires in place of trailer tires and they have a higher speed rating. Personally I think 85 is way to fast. Bill
  5. I would think it would be added to the website in the section I copied this from. Not having it there is disingenuous at best. Bill
  6. I haven't found any language about age of coach. I personally know of a coach being returned that was over 10 years old. Here is what it says in that section. 5. Vehicle return (limited to trips in North America only) Should the member, due to a medical condition, be unable to drive his/her vehicle back to his/her permanent primary residence within the United States, Mexico, or Canada, Seven Corners will arrange and pay to have a designated service return the vehicle to the member’s home, provided: a) The member has been transported under either the “emergency medical evacuation/repatriation” or “return of mortal remains” benefits; and no one in the member’s traveling party is capable of driving, or proficient and competent to drive, the member’s vehicle. The vehicle must be in good condition and capable of being safely driven on the highway in compliance with local laws. The insurance plan will also cover the return of any additional vehicle that is legally hitched to their vehicle at the time of the “emergency medical evacuation/repatriation” or “return of mortal remains” to the destination of the pulling vehicle. The member will be responsible for any costs incurred during the return of the vehicle to maintain the safe operation of the vehicle. Alternatively, the member may choose to have his or her vehicle returned by a friend or family member. In such instance, and provided the return has been approved by Seven Corners and the vehicle is returned directly and expediently to the member’s permanent primary residence within the United States, Mexico, or Canada, Seven Corners will arrange and pay for transportation of that person to the location of the vehicle, and will also reimburse the member for gas and tolls during the return. In addition, the plan will provide a $100-per-day benefit, up to a maximum of five days for incidental expenses while driving. In no event shall the total expenses of a vehicle return exceed $5,000 for all expenses associated with the vehicle return. Seven Corners must arrange and approve the vehicle return. If the member chooses to have a friend or family member perform the vehicle return, Seven Corners will not pay more than what it would have cost to have the company arrange the vehicle return. The maximum amount of this benefit is $5,000. Bill
  7. Makes me feel spoiled, with fuel fills on each side of the coach. There are some gas coaches with the fill in the middle in the back. I think it would be harder to hit it perfectly. Bill
  8. Welcome to the forum. Glad you are enjoying your new coach. Bill
  9. No I use to work for a small startup company on the west side of Fort Worth. You probably never heard of them, Lockheed Martin. I was buy TLI and they looked open. Hadn't seen much activity over there for a while. Bill
  10. I have never heard a campground admit they had a problem with the power. Also read the rental agreement (that paperwork you signed when you checked in) There is always a disclaimer against damages from power problems. I always use my surge guard and that other important devise a water pressure regulator. Bill
  11. Not necessarily I moved the toad to LONGITUDE: -97.2037 LATITUDE: 32.8471 What is TLI ? Bill
  12. Chris G, My surge guard does all that + protects me when I am plugged in. I used it a while back to go check a different spot because the park rangers spent 3 hours trying to fix the problem and couldn't. Bill
  13. It has been my experience that a low power or hi power can happen to fast for you to react to it even if you are sitting looking at the meter. That is why I recommend the surge guard as it will react fast enough to prevent damage. Bill
  14. All the slides I am aware of have a way to retract the slides manually. Bill
  15. A surge guard is easier and it monitors power all the time. Also it will not pass power to your coach if there is a problem with the power supply. http://trci.net/products/surge-guard-rv/hardwires-portables/50a-portable-w-lcd-display What kind of damage to your coach did you have? Bill
  16. Being outnumbered has never bothered Texans. Bill
  17. You went there twice and you still don't have a Surge Guard? Bill
  18. Kelly, I hope for that price you are getting the whole assembly. Bill
  19. Gary, I think some of this is being overly cautious . However when you start spending $500.00+ for a tire that is only good for 7 years it doesn't seem as silly to try to do whatever you can to protect them and not shorten their lifespan. I have seen when something has sitting for a while on a concrete floor it had a damp spot under it when moved. I wonder if painting would be a good sealer? On the subject of tire set, I try not to leave my coach setting in one place to long maybe 30 days max before I take it for a short run 50-60 miles. The road out of where I garage is so rough I could start with square tiers and not notice it. fagnaml, I think the difference between your coach and your personal vehicles are the length of time they are stored. You drive your personal vehicles most times daily. Your coach may set in one spot for a long time. Bill
  20. It protects the tires from contact with the concrete or asphalt. The thought is the chemicals and moisture can damage the tire. Bill
