  1. Lots of great advice. Here is a suggestion on geting the new one on the roof. I put the new one in the back of my pickup and backed up to the side of the coach. I used a part of an extension ladder as a ramp and just slid the new AC up the ladder to the top of the roof. The new one wasn't that heavy. PLEASE watch out for sharp edges to any metal on the AC they are stamped parts and tend to have supper sharp edges. Bill
  2. I just want to see Carl install that device in the neighbor's cat. He may be able to do a seminar on that. Pet safety is always popular. Bill
  3. Ck-4 is the spec the oil must meet. Here is a good read about the new standards. It looks like they will be using at least a synthetic blend to meet specks. http://rotella.shell.com/products/pc-11.html OEM Specifications and Approvals for Shell ROTELLA® t6 full synthetic heavy duty engine oil API: CK-4, CJ-4, CI-4 PLUS, CI-4, CH-4 ACEA E9; JASO DH-2; Cummins CES 20086; Volvo VDS-4.5; Detroit Fluid Specification (DFS) 93K222, Caterpillar ECF-2/ECF-3, MAN M3575, JASO MA/MA2, Allison TES 439, MB-Approval 228.31 Bill

  6. Things went pretty smooth and I applaud how well the parkers did. Bill
  7. We use CoPilot because you can download the maps on WiFi and not use data. It works well as you can adjust preferences. We like Bill A use google maps/Google earth and RV Parkey also RV park Reviews. Bill
  8. I am glad to see Brett's re post of this. We will be in the holding area before 10:00 tomorrow to be parked. I have heard it has been challenging for the parkers. Bill
  9. Welcome to the forum. Well we will see how it goes tomorrow as we are supposed to be in the holding area before 10:00. Bill
  10. This video may give you some tips. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0LB5ZhvhXas Bill
  11. Welcome to the forum. The question is how did you/what did you do to winterise? There are a couple of different ways to get ready for that first trip of the season. Tell me what you did and what your concerns are to un do them. Bill
  12. Welcome to the frum. Please add your rig to your signature it will help you get better answers. I would go I-40 to Amarillo then 287 to Denver then I-25 north to I-90 west. to Gardner, then south on 89 to the park. This isn't the shortest but it is about as flat as you are going to get. If you can handle the hills on I-40 in Tennessee you shouldn't have a problem. Bill
  13. You passed the test. It is a picture of a nice coach. Bill
  14. They are on the other side of the boom. Still plenty of permanent residents but most of the "man camps" are gone. Bill
  15. We stayed at Midland RV Campground 2 days a go. Not bad for overnighter. Well we did stay 2 days visiting with some friends. If you want a good place to eat go to the Garlick Press in Midland. 2134 S Midland Dr, Midland, TX 79703 midlandrvpark.com (432) 697-0801 Bill
  16. I don't think there is a problem. You are only a couple of degrees above the outher readings. I have seen more variance between sunny side and shady side. Bill
  17. Welcome to the forum. Nice coach now you need to add it to your signature. Bill
  18. I agree, the first thing I would do is see if the hose coming from the engine is hot. Bill
  19. Welcome to the forum. Don't mind Carl, The devil makes him that way. Remember you have more clout to get things fixed the way you want before you singe the paperwork and hand over the check. Bill
  20. Have you checked to see if you are getting hot water to the front of the coach yet? It could be as simple as the shut off valve in the hose from the engine. When I drive with the furnace on it keeps the coach nice and warm. Definitely beats no heat. Bill
  21. I would look online for information based on the make and model of the compressor. If I remember there is a range of voltage drop. I will bet you need the start capacitor to troubleshoot it. But look maybe not. Bill
  22. Storage is not an issue if you have a pull through. But when you have to try and push the dolly up a slight grade on wet grass then it becomes a problem. Bill
