  1. Wow you 2 area whole 20 miles apart. maraujo9839, did they say what they did to winterise your coach? I would look at the hot water heater to see if the drain plug is installed. The next is make shure the valves are set to let water into the hotwater heater. Flush and sanatise the fresh water tank. This should give you a good start on being ready to leave on your trip. You might want to change all your water filters while you are at it. With out knowing what they did to winterise it is hard to know what else to recomend. I would run all your systems to see if they are working properley before you leave. Bill
  2. It would be fairly easy to set up a charge line to keep the battery up. Bill
  3. Welcome to the forum. Did it work before? First thing I would check is the auto transfer switch. Can you get power to the coach when plugged in? Bill
  4. Welcome to the forum Fred. One easy way to prevent the sewer gas from getitng in your coach is to make a "P" trap with your sewer hose. That way you can leave it open and not have the smell. Bill
  5. Welcome to the forum. Well hope this isn't your last post here. Where are you located? Add your location and coach info to your signature to help us when you ask questions later. The Tiffin Allegro is a nice coach. Have you been on any trips yet? Bill
  6. The first thing I would do is send in an oil sample to see if it needs to be changed. Bill
  7. Welcome to the forum. I would definatley buy a car that can be towed 4 down. Like Bill A. I towed a car on a dolly. This is something you do if there are no outher options. As you haven't bought the VW I would look around. Look at the towing guide to find cars that can be towed 4 down. https://www.fmca.com/motorhome/towing/204-towing-guides-towing-four-wheels-down.html Last Christmas I was in New England and had a 2017 Ford Fusion Titanium with the ecobust engine I was quite impresed with it and was glad to see it could be towed 4 down. I put it on my list for new toads when my curent one needs tobe replaced. Bill
  8. I am going to try and make The South Central Area Six-State Rally in Texarkana Arkansas October 25th to the 28th. The plan is to meet up with the Red River Rovers at The Choctaw RV Park. The #1 KOA RV park in all of Oklahoma befor heading to The South Central Area Six-State Rally in Texarkana Arkansas October 25th to the 28th. Bill
  9. You are right I just orderd new headlights left/right and the amber corner lights for $98.38 from Car Parts Wholesale on EBay. http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-Auto-Light-Kit-Driver-Passenger-Side-325-323-328-3-Series-318-LH-RH-E36-M3/231934114235?_trksid=p2141725.c100338.m3726&_trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo%3DSIC.MBE%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20150313114020%26meid%3Dd40bb1eee71f45d6b0db2b2204907788%26pid%3D100338%26rk%3D3%26rkt%3D29%26mehot%3Dlo%26sd%3D112306983260 What is that old song "It payes to shop around" Lot's better than $375.00 each side +bulbes. Bill
  10. Here is a thought on routing your cable. Look at going down the refrigerator vent. You could cut all the sealant off the place where the TV antenna enters the coach. The hole may be big enough to run your other cable down the same path. Bill
  11. I have heard on a Safari Zanzibar it is on the left rear corner of the basement, passenger side, of the coach in an enclosed compartment. I would look in the same area on yours. I would look under the sink and in the bay where the city water fitting is. Let us know where they hid it. Bill
  12. Yes T-4 will work just fine. I run Shell Rotella T-6 in both main engine and generator. Bill
  13. Well I would start with the basics. New cap and rotor new quality plug wires. Check/replace the fuel filters. It may just be the picture but the part on the upper right side in the second picture it is green on the bottom looks discolored. I would check that. Make shure the air filter is in good shape/or replace. Look for any leaking vacuum hoses. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OKCQPlr2k6c https://www.summitracing.com/search/part-type/ignition-modules/make/gmc/engine-size/7-4l-454 Bill
  14. He did and didn't break the camera and I am impressed his caps are shiney. Bill
  15. As it was stated many times. Nearly everyone started down the "camping/travel" road the same way. So you have a "Qualifying" RV now. Have you changed? OK there are going to be some who act the Elitist, but you have that small number in any group. My tent came from a better store than yours type. The majority of people haven't changed from when they started. I think this is about including more PEOPLE not what they camp in. Yes the forum will need more categories. Look at the Good Sams website as an example. or iRV2 forum. "Take something that is working and copy it." So yes, I think this is a good idea. Bill
  16. Well you have been given the bad news. Unless you want to go "retro" and go back to living with an ice chest it's time for a new refrigerator. You can look at replacing just the cooling unit. The only down side is your old refrigerator box. How are the door seals and condition? I don't know why this didn't post yesterday??? Well anyway Herman, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! Bill
  17. Welcome to the forum. I use the same apps as Bradrm above so I won't repost the links. I allso use CoPiolt for navigation because you can down load the maps on WIFI and not use as much data when using it on the road. Bill
  18. That is one thing to always check when looking at coaches. Always have the slides brought in to check if you can get to the important stuff. The deeper the slides the further they come in to the center of the coach. Bill
  19. In Chandler we stayed till Saturday morning. The shut off time for the generators was 9:00 am if I remember right. I think we left about 8:00 and drove straight out with no "idle time". I would go for the 30amp area if you need consistent power for your CPAP. Bill
  20. This old post has legs. Herman they are so far into the wilderness they don't have Blue Bell ice cream. Bill
  21. I have noticed my display only shows 50 amp with the generator running. It will not show it on shore power unless the supply is below 50 amp. The display should have shown 15 amp when you were plugged in to the outlet in the pole barn. Bill
  22. Hopefully there is some way to drain it. When you are done siphoning it out you might try using a wet vac to suck the last bit so the tank is clean with no residue in it. The good news you can wash out the wet vac when you are done in a well ventilated area. Bill
  23. I had to look for it to. On the main page in the upper left part of the page they have a slideshow of different programs/benefits. You can use the arrows to cycle through the ads faster. Bill
  24. Phil, I can't afford a coach new enough to use DEF so I don't have any experience with the system. From the diagrams it looks fairly straightforward. I will bet it will turn out to be a best practice to drain the system before a long storage period. The only question is do you have a drain on the DEF tank? Can you install one? Bill
