  1. Welcome to the forum. Un like some applications in cars where you need to get the rpm up to get boost and you can feel that surge as boost kicks in you won't feel it in your coach or the seat of your pants. I two recommend you get a good boost gage and a EGT (exhaust gas temperature) gage. When climbing hills if you start to slow down, I down shift to keep engine speed up. Put anouther way, if you can't hold speed or accelerate in a gear down shift till you can. This will allow your engine to run cooler and performs better. Here are some information on your engine. 350 hp @ 2400 rpm 860 lb-ft @ 1440 rpm Peak Torque. http://www.rvtechlibrary.com/engine/Cat_C7_Specs.pdf Bill
  2. Yes my bad I should have pointed out I use the basic CoPilot and haven't tried the RV version. The reviews didn't look that good. With any navigation device I like to look at a map to verify the route. In Settings under Vehicle Routing Profiles You might see if changing some of the preferences improve your results. Bill
  3. Good!! Well atleast we have decided it wasn't a problem with the generator. Bill
  4. I am going to Palo Duro Canyon The 26th to 29th. If you go up to Amarillo I would recommend. Overnite RV Park, 900 S Lakeside Dr, Amarillo, TX 79118, overnitervpark.com, (806) 373-1431 You and your friends should visit The Big Texan Steak Ranch & Brewery, 7701 Interstate 40 Access Rd, Amarillo, TX 79118, bigtexan.com, (806) 372-6000. Try to eat the 72 0z steak challenge. They have a limo that will come and pick you up at the rv park. We have also stayed at Oasis RV Resort, 2715 Arnot Rd, Amarillo, TX 79124 myrvoasis.com, (806) 356-8408 It is on the West side of town. Something else interesting is the "ART" installation known as Cadillac Ranch,I-40 Frontage Rd, Amarillo, TX 79124, (630) 313-0187 Bill
  5. Welcome to the forum. You are correct it is hard to get out of round tires to run smooth. Where did you take it? Bill
  6. Jason, While I am not a retired Allison fluids engineer nor have I played one on TV. I couldn't resist. I have in a past life run an oil analysis lab when in the AF. What one sample does is give you a snapshot of the condition of the fluid. It wouldn't hurt to change the filters and top off the fluid. I would sample again when you do your annual. What you want to look for is contamination and how much the wear metals go up between samples. I have switched to Blackstone because they give universal averages for the level of wear metals for a component. This gives you a better handle on what you are seeing. Bill
  7. Well here again I don't know but suspect you can pull more power on shore power than with the generator. When you check the amp load see if you can check each ac and see/make shure they are on separate circuits. Electrical Gremlins are as much fun as shooting a 2" scandium S&W 44mag. Bill
  8. Well back to the non gun problem. I am inclined to think you are on the right path. Look at what was done to the AC. This is mostly guessing with out hands on or schematics for your coach, but. It kind of sounds like something (suspicious of the repaired ac) is causing a high load event causing a self resetting circuit breaker to trip. After things cool down it resets and the process starts over. It would be helpful to know what the amp load is when it shuts down. Bill
  9. BLAKE, we are talking guns hear we will get back to that peskey genarater in good time. Bill
  10. Glad you got out safley. I bet a resadental refrig is one of the "must have" items for your next RV. Bill
  11. Go to google maps and in options check avoid hiways, tolls and for fun, ferries. Have fun and let us know how the trip went. Bill
  12. Yes you can. 1/4 cup of household bleach for every 15 gallons of tank capacity should do the trick. Bill
  13. " As to why Fleetwood would wire/assemble it this way I would not know" If I had a dollar for every time some one said that about the RV indestry I could be driving a Provost. Bill
  14. My generator is in the front with no slide. Not a problem till you need to pull the side cover to change the belt. Bill
  15. Welcome to the forum. see if this will help you. https://axleaddict.com/rvs/Devious-RV-Door-can-lock-you-out-how-to-cure-the-problem Bill
  16. Welcome to the forum. Blake is right some times nouthing but some extra eyes is going to work. The problem with convex mirrors is the objects look smaller and it might be hard to see a car coming if it was verry far away. Bill
  17. We need more stories that keep Bill A warm and fuzzy. Bill
  18. Happy Easter weekend to you. Don't eat to maney peep's. Bill
  19. Nice, lookes like you had a bright moon out. Bill
  20. Well now I can see my/outher sig in IE but still no spell cheack and no ability to change font size and color. Still no signature in Chrome or spell cheack. Bill
  21. I just use an old pitcher and pour it back into the gallon bottles and take it to a disposal place. There is an O'Rileys near by that I use. If you line the drain pan with plastic clean up is easy. For Bill A's use this mortar box. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Plasgad-Black-Large-Concrete-Mixing-Tub-20-9-Gallon-Mortar-Mix-Plastic-Bucket/322351259381?_trksid=p2385738.c100677.m4598&_trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo%3DSIC.MBE%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20160908110712%26meid%3D2c9ac05cba984da6872bed9b6f36f361%26pid%3D100677%26rk%3D7%26rkt%3D11%26sd%3D222338236183 "Bill, your eating habit's and where you eat, has become famous..." I can't comment on this thread but will post an update on the appropriate thread. Famous, right Bill
  22. I am with you I would rather put that $300+ in the tank or eat at a good restarant. Bill
  23. Pulling a spark plug is a good diagnostic tool. See if the plugs are wet and if not what do they look like. You can allso just use a extra spark plug to see if you have spark. While the first thought is no spark, I still have this naging though about no fuel. Let us know what you find. Bill
