  1. I grilled some steaks last night on hand split mesquite. Rubbed them with a select blend of herbs and spice all bought fresh not dried. Bill
  2. The first thing I would do is pull the front of the thermostat off, inside is a fuse, pull that for a short time and replace it, see if that helps. I have done this a couple of times to fix problems. Good luck. Bill
  3. I couldn't say it any better than how Herman did. Welcome to the forum. Bill
  4. Well as long as you are at the campground you should be plugged in and that will recharge the coach batteries. I carry a battery charger for just such problems. Perhaps you can find someone at the park who has a charger you can borrow or some jumper cables. Hopefully you can sort out your wiring to the suburban. Bill
  5. EskerBahn, Welcome to the forum. I have a lock similar to what tcolburn has but mine uses a spring that pushes a split collar over to hold the bed up. Just press it to the side when you want to lower the bead. Bill
  6. Randy, Welcome to the Forum. Herman is right about Motorhomes of Texas. You should look at http://www.pplmotorhomes.com/diesel/diesel-motorhomes.php as they always have some nice units. They have a section where they post the sold price which can be useful: http://www.pplmotorhomes.com/sold/diesel-motor-homes.htm Bill
  7. I think it is fairly clear. I would make it simpler in just use 10 lbs over and set the TPMS to 2 lbs over the minimum inflation pressure. This way you get a warning before you are under the minimum allowable pressure for the load. This still gives an 8 lb cushion before you get a low pressure warning. Bill
  8. The other upgrade I would look at is the tuner by 5 Star http://5startuning.com/ Many people happy with how they improve performance and shift patterns. Bill
  9. Wish I could be there but plan on being in Shawnee. Bill
  10. Welcome to the forum. Have you installed a rear track bar? I have several friends who have and say it was the most effective at stopping the tail from wagging the dog. I can see how the Sumo Springs can help locate the body to the frame. The company that can make smooth transitions on and off bridges smooth expansion joints will get my vote. Air ride will not stop the sharp bump regardless what some claim. I don't think low pressure tera tiers would stop all the bump. Bill
  11. I am trying to understand what is so different between the Tahoe and your new truck. The only thing I can think of being different would be if the new truck is a auto and you had to disconnect the driveshaft. Remco makes a disconnect so you don't have to crawl under the truck to disconnect it. I am towing with a Blue Ox tow bar so I am familiar with the process. Bill
  12. Glad you posted that link. I am on the road and noticed last night my light wasn't working. Bill
  13. Welcome to the forum. One of those hard learned lessons. I have made it my plan to run the awning in if I am not setting under it. Never leave the coach with it out. I have seen big winds come up with no warning. Is the bend sharp or gradual over the length of it? If it is gradual you might be able to straighten it enough to be usable till you find another/replacement. If it is a real sharp bend, its bent. Bill
  14. Herman has some great ideas. I would definitely be headed to Galveston Island. There are a lot of places to stay there but I usually stay at Galveston Island State park, 14901 FM3005, Galveston, TX 77554, tpwd.state.tx.us, (409) 737-1222 I have also stayed at Dellanera RV Park, 10901 Termini-San Luis Pass Rd, Galveston, TX 77554, galveston.com, (409) 797-5102. Not that far down the coast is Rockport I have stayed at Lagoons RV Resort, 600 Enterprise Blvd, Rockport, TX 78382, lagoonsrv.com, (361) 729-7834 nice place. Not far is Mustang Island State Park, Corpus Christi, TX, One fun thing to do when visiting Galveston Island is to go on one of the trips to watch the dolphins in the harbor. You can do it for free just take the ferry across the channel. I have always seen dolphins doing that. Don't get me started with all the good places to eat. Bill
  15. I don't know how I ever had time to go to work. Bill
  16. Rich I know what you meant to say 500 GIG. The 500meg brought back a memory. The first computer I bought. I opted for the bigger 40meg hard drive. People told me I was nuts as I would never fill it up. go big and get a1 Petabyte. Bill
  17. I hate to sound like a broken record, but I would do the Track bar to stabilize the rear of the coach first. But it's your money. If you want to know which one you need I would call the people at Blue Ox,Toll-Free: 800-228-9289, Phone: 402-385-3051 M-F 7:30-5:30 CST or info@blueox.com. Fax: 402-385-3360 info@blueox.com M-F 7:30-5:30 CST Bill
  18. I use to work for a small kind of start up aviation place hear in Fort Worth. You may not have heard of them Lockheed Martin. Bill
  19. Hope it is fixed. I know what a pain in the ... it is to have something bother you on the road. Bill
  20. I think a good rear track bar may help rear end sway when passing or being passed by big rigs. look hear http://blueox.com/chassis-performance/ In order I would do the track bar then the heavier sway bar then maybe the true center. I would do a good check drive after each upgrade before doing the next. There have been several articles on the Sumo springs lately. http://www.supersprings.com/sumosprings_overview_solo.asp Bill
