  1. Well next we are going as far north on the UP as you can go, to the Mackinac Bridge. Then down the west side of the lake to Duluth, Minnesota. Did you know that Duluth is the northern terminus of I-35? Bill
  2. I know what you mean. Two years ago I was in Phoenix and it was 112. They made the mistake of showing the weather for the whole state and the forecast for Flagstaff was a high of 72. I left for Flagstaff in the morning. By the way I am in Jackson, MI tonight. Bill
  3. The problem with having a leak with air brakes is you aren't going anywhere till you have enough air to release the emergency brakes. Bill

You don't want to get caught running red. There are some stiff fins, and it is hard to get all the residue out of your system as it shows up under a blacklight. Bill
  5. Good question Brett. If I am towing on a long day I just start and run the car while we are eating lunch. I have never had a battery problem. Well OK, I one time I got to my destination and left the car hooked up till late the next day and forgot to turn it off and it drained the battery. Bill
  6. Did you know the Core of Engineers is doing something smart on Galveston island? They use to take all the sand they dredged from the ship canal out to deep water and dump it. Now they are pumping it on shore along the seawall for beach remediation. Places that you stepped into water when you stepped off the seawall now have a 100 yards of beach or more. Bill
  7. But on the other hand I am glad (sort of) that http://motorhomesoftexas.com/# sold the 2006 Newell they had. It was cheaper than a bunch of new coaches of lesser quality. It looked and drove like new. But if you are looking for a CC they have several. Bill
  8. Carl, are you talking about Peter Luger's place? You know you can order his aged steaks and extra thick cut bacon shipped next day air. https://peterluger.com/butcher-shop.html No dog like an old dog. Have you tried this dog? http://ftw.usatoday.com/2015/07/texas-rangers-boomstick-hot-dog Bill
  9. Yes that sounds good. But how long was your Filet Mignon (Prime) aged? Was it a wet or dry aging process? Bill
  10. I grilled some steaks last night on hand split mesquite. Rubbed them with a select blend of herbs and spice all bought fresh not dried. Bill
  11. The first thing I would do is pull the front of the thermostat off, inside is a fuse, pull that for a short time and replace it, see if that helps. I have done this a couple of times to fix problems. Good luck. Bill
  12. I couldn't say it any better than how Herman did. Welcome to the forum. Bill
  13. Well as long as you are at the campground you should be plugged in and that will recharge the coach batteries. I carry a battery charger for just such problems. Perhaps you can find someone at the park who has a charger you can borrow or some jumper cables. Hopefully you can sort out your wiring to the suburban. Bill
  14. EskerBahn, Welcome to the forum. I have a lock similar to what tcolburn has but mine uses a spring that pushes a split collar over to hold the bed up. Just press it to the side when you want to lower the bead. Bill
  15. Randy, Welcome to the Forum. Herman is right about Motorhomes of Texas. You should look at http://www.pplmotorhomes.com/diesel/diesel-motorhomes.php as they always have some nice units. They have a section where they post the sold price which can be useful: http://www.pplmotorhomes.com/sold/diesel-motor-homes.htm Bill
  16. I think it is fairly clear. I would make it simpler in just use 10 lbs over and set the TPMS to 2 lbs over the minimum inflation pressure. This way you get a warning before you are under the minimum allowable pressure for the load. This still gives an 8 lb cushion before you get a low pressure warning. Bill
  17. The other upgrade I would look at is the tuner by 5 Star http://5startuning.com/ Many people happy with how they improve performance and shift patterns. Bill
  18. Wish I could be there but plan on being in Shawnee. Bill
  19. Welcome to the forum. Have you installed a rear track bar? I have several friends who have and say it was the most effective at stopping the tail from wagging the dog. I can see how the Sumo Springs can help locate the body to the frame. The company that can make smooth transitions on and off bridges smooth expansion joints will get my vote. Air ride will not stop the sharp bump regardless what some claim. I don't think low pressure tera tiers would stop all the bump. Bill
