  1. You get at least two great meals out. Bill
  2. Have you orderd flowers yet??? Bill
  3. I have been getting in and starting the toad before I un-hook. I have found that if I put just a slight forward pressure on the towbar, then put it in park, when I hit the release on the arms it is now in a no strain condition. It makes disconnecting a lot easier. Bill
  4. Glad you got it done. Just think you could have taken it to someone (like Camping World) would have cost $5000 and leaked when you got it back. You saved enough to take your wife out to dinner any where she wants to go. Call it an early Mother's day. Bill
  5. That looks like a lot of work. I am glad I don't have that on my coach. Bill
  6. I let my coach be free and go bra less. I wouldn't use one of the clear plastic ones as I have seen to many that look terrible after a few years. Do a search and you will find numerous post about removing them. I must be living right I have very little damage/stone chips on the front of the coach and on the dingey. I have had more things just driving the dinghy than when towing. I think this may be one of those things that sounds great but doesn't really make that much difference. Bill
  7. I found my brake buddy on Craig's list. You might look at the classified sections on other forums and see what you can find. Bill
  8. Absolutely right Rich. That also includes when unhooking the towed. I have been lucky so far and not made this mistake. I watched a toad roll a short way after the owner unhooked the tow bar. It could have been a lot worse. Bill
  9. Brett's idea is good if you don't have a big drain pan. You will be changing 4 gallons of oil. Just a heads up when reading about the Cummins on the web. The Doge Cummins is not the same as your Cummins. There are several differences. Oil capacity and filter are a couple. Hear is something you mite like. https://cumminsengines.com/uploads/docs/4971103.pdf This is a good place to find out about your engine and parts. It is the same place the shop goes to to look up things. https://quickserve.cummins.com/info/index.html One thing I recommend is to start a file where you can record your Vin, engine serial number and transmission serial number. When you go to get parts, the first thing they will ask for is your serial number. I also keep track of all the part numbers that I need or might use. Have fun and don't drive your new toy on narrow ice mountin roads. Bill
  10. Not a problem, I just re fill the gal containers it came out off. If you don't know for sure if your drain pan is big enough Just use a gal container and fill it with water the first time. Makes less mess than overfilling with oil. What engine do you have? Has the dealer done the annual oil change? If so you should be good for a year or 15000 miles. I would ask the dealer for a list off all the filter part numbers. Shell is offering a rebate of $5.00 per gal up to 4 gal on Rotella T5 and T6 I run the T6 and have recieved my refund. Bill
  11. Bushings could be one source of the noise. The OP was talking that his generator tray was sagging on the right side. I did all my bushings last year so I know they will make that noise. Bill
  12. Like Brett said it would be helpful to know what coach we are talking about. Till then as you appear to be lucky enough to have a slide out tray for the generator here are a couple of generic ideas. I would open the slide and look at all the attaching hardware and re torque as needed. I would inspect the rollers for play and tighten or replace as necessary. I would almost bet it is the mounting hardware that holds the slides to the coach or to the generator. Let us know what you find. Bill
  13. I agree Brett, last rally I heard about someone putting diesel in the DEF tank. Lets face it if it can be messed up someone will. Bill
  14. My take after asking a couple of factory reps was the left side was to crowded to put the tank on that side. I think I read that some are trying to address this issue. I don't use DEF but I would think it would be pretty easy to use the pump on the right side to fill the DEF tank. Even if you have to wait for the trucker on that side to get done. Just don't wait till it is near empty. From what I was told you can get several fill ups before you need to add DEF so you should be able to get it done. I did talk to a guy who carried a 5gal gas can and used it to fill his DEF tank. Seemed like a lot of work. Bill
  15. I would look around and see if their price matches some of the other places. I was just looking and found a place that was asking $183,491 before dealing. Good luck. Bill
  16. That is kind of the way I feel about the smaller B and C coaches. They look good and sound good but don't "live" quite as good. I think the Winnebago Forza 38R is a nice coach but have you looked at some of the used coaches available in that price range? Here are a couple of places just as a tease. Let someone else fight the new coach gremlins and first year depreciation. http://motorhomesoftexas.com/ http://www.pplmotorhomes.com/diesel/diesel-motorhomes.php http://www.mhsrv.com/diesel-pusher-rvs/ Bill
  17. Welcome to the forum. Yes it is too true. What coach do you have or are looking at? Bill
  18. Where are you located? Have you called and talked to WB? Even if you are out of warranty I would call. http://winnebagoind.com/contact Bill
  19. I will stick to my 6 volt golf cart batteries. You know they come in different sizes and the capacity varies quite a bit. Bill
  20. Welcome to the forum. I am assuming they worked before, right? You have checked all the ground fault resets. I have one in the bay where the water hooks up. Did you check the power at the pedestal? Try resetting the circuit breakers on the pedestal. This would happen automatically if you have a surge guard. It could be the transfer switch. You could try starting the generator to see if you have power to the outlets. Next find your 120 circuit breaker box and check that you don't have a tripped circuit breaker. Let us know what you find out. Bill
  21. Just trying to point out that not everyone camps the same. You have to understand the limitations of both kinds of coach. I can remember camping where if you couldn’t start a fire you didn’t have a hot supper. Bill
  22. Welcome to the forum, there are several on the west coast you just need to read carefully. When you copy the list you can separate out the ones on the west coast. Bill
  23. Welcome to the forum. I had my coach aligned by my local Freightliner shop. Did you know they have to cut the welds and reweld any time they do a rear wheel (thrust angle) alignment? I think I paid less than $290.00 because they were running a half price front alignment special. I couldn't feel any problem but they said my rear axle was 11/2 out of proper location. You should call customer relations at WB and be sure the information is getting through. I wouldn't rely on the dealer. Bill
  24. I am one of those who doesn't have motor-aid, Aqua Hot or 120 side of the hot water heater. I have the old fashioned propane stove and furnace. I have an old style propane electric refrigerator. I had hot water in the tank and ice cubes in the freezer when I got to my campground last week. I will change out the refrigerator if it goes bad with a residential. I think it's great that they make all electric coaches. But they are not for everyone. They work great is you have full hookups with 50 amp service all the time. Yes all electric coaches are different but not necessarily better for everyone. Bill
