Hear is an idea for a rout to bypass the whole Fort Worth area going north. Stay on 281 till you get to 287. I think it is in Wichita Falls. You should be able to find your way home from there. I think 281 may be a better road than 183. I haven't ben out that way in a little over a year. We spent some time in Seymour. Just south of Lampasas where 290 from Austin runs into 281 there is a nice place to stay I have stayed there before. Miller Creek RV Park, US-281, Johnson City, TX 78636, millercreekrvpark.com, (830) 868-2655. 183/121 and North 820 are almost complete where they have added 4 toll lanes in the middle. The only rough spot is where 820 crosses 35W . Well 35 from just before the 121 cut off to north of town is slow because of the construction. If you come up that way stay in the LEFT lane or center lane. The left lane keeps moving mostly. the ones to the right not so much. Unfortunately I will probably miss Perry this time. Yes one of these days our paths will cross. Bill

Looks like you are good I don't think it will freeze ether. Granite OK is kind of out in the middle. I would recommend going up 287 from just north of Fort Worth to Vernon and taking 283 north to Granite. You are in a good position to go north and pick up 40 East if the weather looks good. Just a BIG HEADS UP if you go back down to pick up 20 to go East. DO NOT go on 183 or 30 through the Metroplex instead go south and pick up 20 around the South side of Fort Worth. Follow this around till it takes you to 20 East. This looks longer but you will be much much happier. Good luck and have a safe trip. Bill

This last summer we stayed at Forest Ridge Campground near Ellsworth, 40, Flockamoosen Way, Ellsworth, ME 04605, forestridgecampground.com (855) 299-6969. Nice place and gave us good access to Acadia and Bar Harbor. I wanted to look at Sewall and on Google maps it says it is permanently closed. Blackwoods does show some RV parking but no hook ups. Take your passports with you and go all the way up Rte 1 to East Port Maine . Then cross into Canada to The Roosevelt Campobello International Park. Seaview Campground & Cottages 16 Norwood Rd, Eastport, ME 04631, eastportmaine.com, (207) 853-4471. This is the most eastern campground in the US. You can tell people you have ben Down East as they say in Main. Bill

For all bills I pay them on line. I can even pay my yard guy on line. Now days there isn't a need to pay ahead or use the mail like we use to. I have the post office hold all the rest of my mail (mostly junk) and a couple of magazine subscriptions till I get back. Bill

I think if you feel you need a system you should get one. I just haven't seen that many RV fires that were engine related especially in diesel coaches. I have seen video of fires caused by faulty refrigerators, flat tires but the total number is minimal compared to how many are out there. Bill

What route are you going to take? Are you going to try to make OKC in one day? That's a LONG day. Bill

It sounds like you are good to go. I would check your propane level and top up if you are below 50%. I think you will be ok in Oklahoma if you leave the furnace on. Like Herman said run a extension cord to keep your battery's up. With the furnace running you don't have to winterize as it heats the basement to. Don't forget you can run the furnace while driving to keep it nice and warm in the coach if the dash heat isn't enough. Bill

Welcome to the forum. I have ben to the area a couple of times. I like Smoky Bear Campground and RV Park, 4857 East Pkwy, Gatlinburg, TN 37738, smokybearcampground.com, (865) 436-8372. When you plan your trip I recommend coming in from the East on 321 off I-40 Yes it is longer but you don't have to go through the traffic in the Pigeon Forge Gatlinburg area. it is bad enough with your toad (yes you should see it in your toad) but is a drag trying to get through in a coach. Yes I made that mistake once. This last summer we spent a week in the area. One interesting daytrip is to go over the mountains on 441 and spend some time in the Cherokee area. I went east and circled around the east end of the park coming back. 19 to 276 to 40 and back in on 321. There are lots of interesting places to see in the area. I will be going back next year to see more. Bill

randigreene, welcome to the forum. Hear is a video talking about the new trap. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2QV6drbFbK0 I am wondering if yours is defective or the drop in the drain line isn't enough to get it to drain. I would definitely let Tiffin know you have a problem. Why not call and see if there is a fix. I am betting you aren't the only one with a problem. Bill

Herman, that is good info. I just haven't moved into the modern world of all electric RVing. I haven't used a curtain but do shut the door to the back and run the air control on recirculate. I don't have a problem using the furnace if it is cold or the roof air (and generator) if it gets to hot. Carl, I would think the refrigerator would run off the batteries and inverter while going down the road. As a side note Herman and I hate soft melting ice cream. "The same applies when it's summer and hot (90+/=) , humid conditions! In West Texas, I'll run the dash air since I don't have "swamp coolers"! :(" Carl, 90deg is a nice warm spring day. I have lived with swamp coolers, I now prefer that "refrigerated air" Now, year before last, I was in Phoenix Az. and it was a warmish 112 I ran the roof air and the dash air and wished I had a extra swamp cooler to. Ok I am wondering about how well the Aqua Hot works. Wouldn't that keep you warm? I have never had one to play with. Bill

Why are you not running the gas furnace? Much cheaper and will keep you warmer. Bill

The only thing I can add is I like having a catch can on the end of the slobber tube to catch the slobber rather than having it blow on the toad or the back of the coach. Just make sure it is vented enough to allow the blow by to vent. Bill -

It should only surge/exceed the usual load on start up. My units stage the load so it doesn't hit all at once. I don't know if it will help but I seem to remember a post about using a "hard start capacitor" to help with the start up of the AC units. You might do a little research on that. Bill

I still don't think there is any thing wrong with your generator. I just think it was cold 38 is cold for a diesel. I have seen many tractors and trucks that put out a bunch of blue diesel smoke till they warm up. I ran my generator to day. I didn't get any blue smoke but it was 72. Bill

Welcome to the forum. Let me see if I understand this. The web site doesn't list a lube pump for your application and when you called they confirmed it won't work on your application. Let me think.........Yes I see at least 3 answer's to your problem. 1) A big repair bill because you tried to adapt a oil pump or 2) a trailer in your future or 3) an different toad. Bill

Did you clean the spark arrester? Did you give it time to warm up before applying a load? Bill
