I have driven it many times. The last was in September. What is your question? Bill

Hear are a couple of video that might help you identify the parts. This may not be your unit but the parts and terminology is helpful. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FCqiVqZx5k4 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LpnG50EpQb0 I would get a copy of the right manual from the site that Wolfe10 posted. Welcome to the forum.I have talked to a couple of people who have Continental HSL2 tires these are Continental's low rolling resistance fuel saving tire and they are happy with them. Hearer is a fun site for comparing tier size. https://tiresize.com/comparison/ Bill

Good catch. I always do a walk around. Bill

It is always fun to see what other dealers will offer here is another dealer. Might be fun to see what they will do against your other deals. http://www.vogtrv.com/default.asp?page=xNewInventory&vt=motorhome&make=tiffin+motorhomes&t=new&gclid=CjwKEAiA8K20BRDetNv3p6DNhXwSJADSwa3tT4SM8CmidsthjzLc9w2zpMsfsnRl8A2ca981XhnVuRoCYSrw_wcB#page=xNewInventory&vt=motorhome&make=tiffin+motorhomes&t=new Bill

Residential Fridge Vs Rock&Rolls & Rough Roads
wildebill308 replied to chp007kd40's topic in Type A motorhomes
I have read a lot of post about converting to a residential refrigerator. I have never seen a post that was negative about the change over. I have never see a negative post about longevity of the residential refrigerators. I was thinking about it and I think that is quite remarkable. We hear about the bad negative things first on the forums before good things. I am wondering about the need for a separate battery bank and a second inverter/charger set-up. How many batteries do you have now? I am guessing that you have 4ea 6 volt batteries now. With the low draw of the new refrigerators and they don't run all the time why you would need a separate smaller battery bank. Bill -

I would use propane for water heater, refrigerator and furnace. Bill -
Let me give you a definitive answer. Lets look at facts tires gain tier pressure when they warm up. Tires are designed to handle this even at the max inflation on the sidewalls. The tire guy can probably give a better idea what the safety margin is but I bet it is fairly good one. Remember this is the minimum pressure for your load. I bet there is a small cushion built into that table to. We have people who can't move till they have their tire pressure set to the 0.01 pound and on the other end like the nice gentleman who was walking by when I was checking my tires this summer and asked "why are you doing that? I have the dealer check my tire pressure when they do my annual maintenance." He seamed un-fazed when I mentioned that tires can loose air over time. Now that is my definitive answer. Bill

The first thing I would do is check your u joints in the drive shaft also check for play in the carrier bering you might have two of them. Vibration in that speed range is most likely in your driveshaft. Bill

Winter Travel - Driving with Furnace Running

Happy New Year and welcome to the forum. They must have extra small propane tanks. I have a 25 gal tank and can easily go 10 days running both furnace's the hot water heater and the refrigerator. I agree it is smart to keep an eye on your tank level till you have a history of how long it will last. I have a small ceramic cube I keep in the wet bay as added insurance when stopped and hooked up to shore power. I have never had a problem with anything freezing on the road but the coldest we have seen was -5. Also turn on your block heater over night so you don't have to wait to start. If it is realey cold clearing the windshield (inside) is chore and having the engine up to temp quicker is a help. Bill -
Happy New Year back at you. It sounds like it is time for you to sit and be retired for at least a couple of hours. Bill

Dash Heater Blows Cold Air: Fleetwood Discovery
wildebill308 replied to rckozy's topic in Systems and Appliances
OK, I am going to wait till you tell us what the water/coolant temperature is before telling you to change the thermostat. My gage stays in the first 1/4 of the gage for normal operation and it is at the proper temp. Note the hoses will be cold because the engine isn't running to pump water through them. Bill -
My CR-V does not register mileage. The only car that would do that is one with a mechanical speedometer. Bill

Dash Heater Blows Cold Air: Fleetwood Discovery
wildebill308 replied to rckozy's topic in Systems and Appliances
Welcome to the forum. The first thing to do is follow the cable down from the slider and see if it is opening the water valve to let hot water flow through the heater core.I am confused about what you mean by "I know the engine temp stays at about 1/4 on the dash gauge." Do you have a infrared thermometer? This is one of the best tools to trouble shoot with. http://www.harborfreight.com/catalogsearch/result?q=infored+thermoter See what the temperature is at the top radiator hose and top of the radiator. See what the temp is where the hot radiator hose goes into the heater. Bill -

Motorhome Emissions Testing
wildebill308 replied to twstatler@yahoo.com's topic in Laws and Legislative Action
Also in Texas they have done away with the inspection sticker. You still have to have the inspection (no emissions for diesel just basic safety) before you can get your plates but no sticker on the windshield. Bill -
I have heard that the GPS system draws a lot of current. I don't have it and have gone 8+ hours with no problem. I like to start the car and let it run during lunch stops. Don't forget to go through your set up routine before towing again I like to run through the gears just as a precaution. When you are getting ready to tow never go into N from R always from D and pump the brakes after you shut it off to drain the brake booster. I was going to run a charge line but haven't had a problem with the battery going dead. Bill

You might try a straight pipe and see what it sounds like. If it isn't to loud you have a cheap fix. You have the tools. and it isn't an expensive mod to do or change. Like Wolfe10 said if you have a straight through muffler already you might not get much change. I like the muffler he has a link to. One other source is try one of your local parts stores that caters to the kids hot rodding diesel trucks they often have several in stock. I am running a Banks 4" I don't think they have a 5". Bill

I would now get reservations at a local RV park some place like Dockweiler RV Park 12001 Vista Del Mar, Los Angeles, CA 90293 , beaches.lacounty.gov , (800) 950-7275 Plan on spending at least 3 or more days. First of all, it will give you a chance to check out your new coach and you are still near the dealer. Secondly it is LA. Next head south to San Diego. For a nice location try to get into Fiddler's Cove Marina, 3205 CA-75, San Diego, CA 92155 , (619) 522-8680. There are too many attractions to name but a few. Like Old Town San Diego State Historic, or San Diego Seaport Village. There is in the same area the USS Midway museum really neat with all the planes on the deck. There are some fine restaurants in the Gaslamp Quarter. Did I mention the zoo? Both Wolfe10 and Tbutler have given some great ideas. I would definitely go to Quartzsite. This is an amazing place. Many years ago I was there and noticed a sine on the wall across from the Dairy Queen it said “See the two headed albino raccoon displayed alive” Well that was a good summery of the attitude of Quartzsite. I do like Wolf10’s suggestion to use 90 from Van Horn TX to San Antonio with a side trip to Big Bend Ranch State Park and Big Bend National Park. Your profile shows you are from Houston and you have an RV so that part of the world you should know. Bill

Winter Travel - Driving with Furnace Running
wildebill308 replied to rfsod48's topic in Type A motorhomes
I have one and run it if it is going to be very cold -0- range otherwise I haven't had a problem. I don't store the sewer hose in the compartment to prevent damage or possible fire danger. Look at my signature-- I have a 38N so I have some relevant experience. I would review my previous post it will get you south fairly rapidly. Brett (Wolfe10) listed a good site to keep tabs on the weather. Bill -
I don't see the big problem. Just go to your local walk in office and get transponders for all your cars and your motor home. You can get 4 transponders per account. They are serial numbered to the car or motor home. I drove my toad on more toll roads than the motorhome this summer. It might be helpful for you to go re read what I have posted before, slowly . Winter Travel - Driving with Furnace Running

The main thing is to watch the weather reports. I would just sit tight if a big storm is coming in from the west. I don't know how far you drive in a day but I seldom do over 300-400 miles. Springfield IL would be 6.5 hours or about 450 miles. Then to Memphis, TN on 55 Then to Fort Worth. Then just take 20 west. Bill -

Roland, There is no reason not to run your furnace in fact run both of them. I would top off the propane tank before you leave. I don't see a problem with filling your fresh water tank with enough water to use on the trip in between camp grounds. I don't travel in colder weather much but I have been caught a couple of times. I was at the top of Raton pass camping early in the spring and had the temperature drop from 65 to 5 over night. I recommend running the block heater overnight when you stop if it is below freezing. I recommend you run the hot water heater all the time and the refrigerator. Not so much to keep things cold but there is a heater on the icemaker solenoid that only works if the refrigerator is on also your wife will appreciate the hot water to wash her hands when you stop. One more tip if you stop some place where it is going to be below freezing over night don't leave your fresh water hose or sewer hose connected overnight. Dump fill and disconnect and put the hoses up. I would fill my fresh water tank before leaving just incase where you stop doesn't have water on. I just have to ask, if you are going to Phoenix why are you going by way of Memphis? Are you stopping to visit someone? Where in Michigan are you leaving from? Bill -
I don't know if one state is better. I got my pass in a walk in in New Hampshire. When I got my EZ-Pass they told me to remove the tag in the toad when it was hooked up. When hooked up it is billed as a trailer not a car. They even gave me a shielded envelop to keep the tag in. Your assignment is to find out if one place is better and how much. Bill

Absolutely if a light won't come on you didn't snap the switch hard enough or enough times.
