At $10.00 per gig, I'd wait till I got to McDonalds to download anything of size. LOL

I have not seen any negative comments on FMCA roadside, hope you never have to use it, but if you do, you can comment on how GOOD or how BAD it is. Actually I had AAA long before even knowing that FMCA existed. I saw the FMCA egg on a fellow camper's coach, didn't even get his name, but seemed to be a fine gentleman, that invited me to join. I did have "Not so Good Sam", and was very disappointed with response that I got from them, I already had AAA for my cars, so I called them for assistance with the current situation and as always got good results. For this reason, I called AAA the next day and upgraded to RV Plus Gold and have been happy with them. The experience that I wrote about with AAA, was not earthshaking, just a misunderstanding with the call center that night, they did keep in touch for several hours with updates. The tinker toy wrecker drivers did report correctly that my rig was a Motorhome, but they were the one that dropped the ball by telling me that would be back within the hour with an adequate tow truck,

Now for the gotcha part of Unlimited data plan of Verizon. The Plan promises 22 gig unlimited at 4g lte, then falls over to 3g for the rest of the billing cycle. This doesn't sound to bad, until gotcha takes over, you are only allowed 10 gig per hotspot, and every device is considered a hotspot. Just before the 10 gig hits on your hotspot, you are warned on your primary account that you are close, then when it hits, 3g kicks in, doesn't seem too bad until you have to open a web page, go make a pot of coffee and drink half of it, then come back just in time to see the webpage finish loading. I live on the same hilltop that the Verizon tower is located, 300 yards away, Ookla speed test shows 17 to 19 meg both down and up before 3g kicks in, after it kicks in 50 k down and up, dial up modem is faster. And strangely I went 27 days last month before this happened, only three days till the cycle started over, but 6 days into the next cycle with no streaming this cycle, 6.54 gig already accrued, almost as though something has triggered and data seems to be going into thin air. The first two months, everytime I looked at usage, zero usage showed at anytime in the month, with a message to stream all you want, you have Unlimited data. Just today I learned that Verizon did not measure usage for the first six weeks, probably just to sucker us in as there was a thirty day trial period that we could revert back to the old plan if we were not satisfied with the new plan with no penalty. So now back to reality, I am currently looking for someone with a Sprint Mifi to test my location for signal. Bill when will you be coming back through B"ham.? Sorry for the long vent, but I despise a LIAR.

Duane, I do not know about your model, but many air brake systems use a pressure switch that activates the relay for the brake lights. If yours is one of this type. and you know where to locate it, just a little moisture from either water or oil, sometimes debris lodged in the inlet will cause the brake lights to either stay on, or off. This is why I asked the question about purging the drier and air tanks. Since you have already replaced the switch on the treadle valve twice makes me think that your air system may be in need of some attention. The air drier is usually located up front and just before the brake system, there is usually a pull ring located at the bottom of that canister that needs bleeding regularly, also all the air tanks need to be purged often. If that switch that you have replaced before screws into an air supply of any type, I would remove it again, and let the system purge from that point after purging all other points, you will need to pump (fan) the brake pedal with air pressure built up in order to do that. Also, clean the inside of that switch with regular rubbing alcohol, this will dry out out any water accumulation that might be inside. Of course if you don't have air brakes, none of this applies, but with a 43 ft pusher, I bet that you do. Good luck with making them work again.

Makes me think of the bubble boy movie, all we need to do is put all passengers in a bubble while riding in the class A and tie a rope to the most rear wall. I know several school bus drivers that tell of videos that they have been shown concerning seat belts for students being crash tested with dummies (no pun intended), the dummies suffered much worse damage with seat belts than the ones without. The ones without were more able to escape than the ones with, no one could get to the ones with to cut them loose to avoid fire consuming them, or keep them from drowning. Safety test are done on a very regular basis to try to improve safety for common and commercial carriers. When better ways are perfected, I'm sure they will be deployed. To my knowledge air bags are not installed on any commercial airlines, seat belts are, as well as drop down oxygen masks. One of the most effective safety devices in a class A or C, is the egress options, make sure that you and all passengers of where they are located, and how to use them in an emergency, also prominently placed fire extinguishers, kept up to date. If you use LP gas, make sure that the LP detector is working properly, as well as the CO and fire sensor. In over 30 years of RV experience, I have only seen one person killed in an RV crash, but I cant count the people that have been killed or suffered severely from burns, or carbon monoxide poisoning. Please make my order a memory foam, much softer than latex.

Look up Frank Zeuner under FMCA members, send him a PM, he lives in Lakeland and I would bet that he knows a good shop near you.

When was the last time you purged your drier, and air tanks?

I wasn't going to, but here is what happened, mind you, twice before I had no problem, right tow truck and very knowledgeable driver. But on the last call, a lady took the call, and of course asked all of the questions on her cheat sheet, one of course is what brand motorhome, mine is of course a converted MCI, which is what I told her, I was put on hold for about a minute, a male voice came back on the phone and he proceeded to tell me that they didn't cover commercial carriers and that mine is a commercial carrier. I explained that it was converted and is definitely a motorhome. He answered, ok, I will send somebody to verify that it is. About 30 minutes later a tinkertoy wrecker showed up with two people on board to verify that is was a motorhome, they came aboard and looked it over and called AAA back to verify that it was a MH. By this time two hours have passed and it is now pitch dark on a secluded curvy mountain road with my coach two thirds onto the road. The guys told me that they would be back within an hour with the proper equipment to tow it to a place of safety, two hours passed and they did not return, it was about that time that AAA called me back to inform me that I would have to leave it there till morning because there was not a wrecker large enough to tow that night. Meanwhile my daughter and son in law got involved and was able to get a person to come check and possibly fix the problem, which was the purge valve on the drier. He was able to get the bus to air up finally and at least got me on my way. I had to keep fanning the brakes to not allow the valve to let off pressure again to my destination. Sorry to be so long, but this was the only time that AAA was not Johnny on the spot, can't really blame them, as they did at least try and I believe that a proper tow truck would have arrived the next morning, this was within 2 miles of my home, and I know all the services around the area, and did verify that it was a bad day to try to get a large wrecker that night. And again, I do not hold AAA to blame, I will continue to use them in the future.

Rubber Strip Around Slide-out Loose-- What Adhesive?

Wow, that stuff ought to be good! It must contain platinum, LOL. I have used that 3M junk for more than 45 years, never had it give up prematurely yet. -
I've been with AAA for many years, have the premiere RV plan, and have had several times that the service was impeccable, the last time I called, I finally met that guy that didn't have a clue as to what a motorhome was, much less what was needed. In reality, Mama was right when she said there would be days like this. I tried GS for a few years, and that's where the last guy came from that lied to get a job at AAA. LOL!

Mark, will take a few new shots when it's daylight, and start a new thread. I bought this jewel on ebay in 2009, and have been very happy with the end results. 7.5 on last 680 round trip towing my little Geo Tracker. And thanks.

Call John Cherry at Evoloution Custom Coach, located in White Haven Pennsylvania, phone number 570-443-5700, ask if he can recommend somebody. Have done lots of business with him in the past, I find him to be at least honest and very knowledgeable.

It is a nice coach, when traveling back to Alabama, be sure to check out Joe Wheeler State Park, close to your old stomping grounds on 72 near Rogersville, Al., very nice campground.

So the poor person driving that rv didn't have their seat belt on? He or she should have watched the video that is linked to that video to be more prepared to keep the crash from happening.

Mark, not a nerve for me either, my wife often makes remarks that there should be a law. I tell her all the time that what is more common sense than laws, there are many laws already on the books that no one can, or will enforce. Just an example, there are laws on the books that state no video device shall be placed within viewing distance of the driver, if it could be enforced, it would. A smart phone while being used to show video, or view text messages, is a video device. A very simple app would be to have the phone simply not show any video if the phone is moving faster than two miles per hour, but all the other passengers in the vehicle would be penalized for just riding in that vehicle. Air bags are good but they have their place, I do strongly support the use of seat belts.
