Barb. Though a 2006 Phaeton by Tiffin is OK, there is no comparison to a 2010 American Coach Tradition, all electric, When we are in both coaches, I still carry 90% of the perishable food in my 25 cu. ft. Whirlpool Fridge...hers is a Norcold 12 cu, ft. and as Linda say's, she would really like to have had a Aqua Hot Sy. instead of Attwood 6 gal. water heather! We are not married, we travel together! She has her F# and I have mine.

FIVE. If your DW reads this! I wonder what your MPG of water, walking, would be !!!

MOBILE RV REPAIR RECOMMENDATION SE HOUSTON?
manholt replied to eric@babin.com's topic in Type A motorhomes
Eric. Call them again after Easter, ask for Dave, he's the owner....Maintenance my A$$...they build custom Prevost coaches, start at $1.4 million! I just had $6,300 worth of work, 4 weeks ago! They got my SO Linda's coach, 40 DP there now for body work, engine work (she had the oil change 3 weeks ago in Tyler, TX.) and interior work! -
My Dicor sealed roof has bit the dust. Having RV Armor put on ASAP, before I incurred any internal damage! 2 days ago, in the 7 hour frog strangler rain storm, my light over dinette started dripping. It's mounted as a scone to the slide out roof...The outside portion of slide out had no puddles of water and was surprisingly dry! That means, I have a roof leak! We will be here in Burnet for 2 weeks, before we leave for OK.

Winegard Roadstar TV Antenna Install Question
manholt replied to richard5933's topic in Systems and Appliances
Apples and Oranges. You are not a fiberglass roof, therefor you do not have the contractions and twist to be a concern...I would run it the way you want...They was not around in 1974. -
Monaco Cayman Engine Air Intake Grille Problem
manholt replied to bikeryder's topic in Modifications
Eddie. Just a thought as for the air intake box is concerned. take it to a 3D Plasma Shop, we got them, so I would be surprised if So. Cal., did not. -
Rich, LED's today are different than 10 years ago!
-
Rich. I have noticed a dimming, then brighter than usual in my current coach. I do not have a dimmer for my lights, but they where changed out to LED's after I bought it in November of 2013. My original Sony 42", I changed out last year, for a Vizio 48" and added a motorized directv dish HD. It does change according to channel...thought there was LED's going bad. TV off, lights steady....same as it was before the LED change! Darnit, now I got something else to figure out....I'll also bet that most will not notice it. OK. They will if they read this post...thanks, bunches....run that one by "Rett"!

Ricky, welcome! Your replacement "Bong", is in Colorado!
-
TT. Back to Ross Boyer and CarlAda. When was the last time you weight your coach and how did that compare, to the time before? I do mine corner to corner, every 4 years and front back, each alternating 4 years! The differences are amazing...especially after adding a person (female). I used to have 105, now 115/120, winter travel tends to be heavier!

I have to agree, I will not go there. Time for a glass of Wine! We made it back home & I only have 3, capillary leaks...time for a new roof, think I'll go with Rhino and be done with it. Then look for a "New to me, coach"!

Monaco Cayman Engine Air Intake Grille Problem
manholt replied to bikeryder's topic in Modifications
Eddie, good luck to you. Please post a finished photo! Good, clean drawing! Looks (in your photo) like the factory over tightened the upper left bolt/screw and caused a stress fracture in the plastic! That's beyond a poor design. -
As I said at the beginning of this thread. I had a coach, that the converter was found, under the seat of the both dinette. On another, it was under the sink, way back in the cabinet.

MOBILE RV REPAIR RECOMMENDATION SE HOUSTON?
manholt replied to eric@babin.com's topic in Type A motorhomes
That looks like a go for me! If you order a OEM from Freightliner, why not let them do the exchange also? Last I heard REV was $140 an hour and they have lousy Tech's in Alvarado! I would rather have the part sent to Texas Custom Coach in Pipe Creek, Texas (If you don't like Freightliner), they do all my coach work at half the hourly rate of REV. Did you & DW, go over and lick your wounds, with 10 pounds of Crawfish Boil? Some adult refreshments. Carl -
Verizon/FMCA Jetpack issues/worthless at RV Parks
manholt replied to dianahc's topic in RV Internet to Go/Staying in Touch
My Verizon is an old plug in (like the old cards, it plugs into computer), I have never had any problems with it and Verizon would like for me, to change it for the "New & Improved", Jetpack! When an Attorney, can't get satisfaction, who am I to try? I even use mine, each year in Norway & Sweden, it picks up the signal from Telenor, even better than my Apple! Off course, I don't stream anything of the Internet. -
Are you saying, that a Tech, is unable to trace the converter down, without a schematic? Where did you find "this expert at"? Local Auto shop!??
-
WBill. I do agree, that is a thing I do every time, I come home after my 7-10K summer trip! OP had no increase in Temp or loss of fluid. = Coolant sensor! Don't know where bhalldorson lives....but you and I live in the land of 2 seasons and June to October, it's well over a hundred in the shade with a fan on!
-
Thank the Good Lord...I live in Texas! When my coach pass the gate at Linda's, or my Ranch in W. TX., It's wide open country and hidden barns and houses! No zoning can change what we got. HMO? That's like the Union, in a Texas Oil field, they disappeared in 1927 and was found in 1978....still in their cars! We can do what we want to do, at anytime the mood strikes, especially at my place, 2 sections in the middle of nowhere and the star's are unbelievable! At my main residence on Galveston Island, it's a HMO Subdivision, but I can park my coach for 2 weeks in the street and however long I want on my property! HMO dues are $60 a year.

14 Grandkids? WOW...Lucky you! But, where will you be, between now and July4, then after?
-
Barb. My SO, has her own Phaeton 40 foot DP, her 5th coach in 36 years! Right now, we are in my 45, that she also drives on occasion...other times, we travel with both coaches!
-
I love optimistic people!

You have a bad sensor, it should be located on the surge tank about half way up. Disconnect the 2 wires and order a new one from Tiffin. Call Tiffin Tech and it will be sent to you, $40+/-. Mine was $38+ with shipping. When you replace it, use a clean gallon bowel, unscrew old, insert new and reconnect wires, pour coolant back in tank.

We are stuck until morning, in Schulenburg, due to low water areas that are flooded, between here and Burnet. Also, got 4+ inches since 7am! Now, some sun/rain mix. No wind.
