    COACH BATTERIES

Take a look at Volta Power System! Carl
  3. I agree with all of you! Kay, the only problem I have found, with all the local campgrounds; where there is local ordinance against overnighting at Wall Mart or other lots. The campgrounds still think that 34' RV is as big as it gets...sort of outdated thinking! So, I just drive to the next town...the further east I get the more problems I have, especially, NE! Carl
  4. Joe, Bill. I have learned a lot about the ProOne in the past couple of days. It was originally developed by Baroid as an environmentally safe alternative in drilling fluids as a drill bit lubricant. Halliburton is experts in cement...they bought Baroid and then saw other possibilities for the drill lube! The new generation lube that your using now, comes in many forms and is designed to be used in all fuel and oil application, from cars and trucks to lawn mowers. As soon as I hear back from Baroid, I should know where we can get ProOne and the cost per quart. I intend to add 20% to my next Oil change in all my vehicles, also fuel. Their is a video on Halliburton's web site and it is very impressive! You can also, down load the specs! Joe, hubs, I meant oil bath and yes it is designed for that also...Comes in different viscosities. It's vegetable oil based, biodegradable and don't worry about spillage, it has no toxins in it. Carl
  5. Would that stuff work on wheel hubs? Is it sold retail, or just commercial bulk?
  6. wesgiv, I don't make a habit of overnighting at Walmart. I have learned to find one that is open all night, or at least has 18 wheeler's and well lighted. I stay among the trucks or other RV's....never had a problem, do not use my Jacks nor slide outs. I'm overnighting not camping! Same with any Truck Stop that has Pull Thru parking. That goes for Rest Areas also! Carl
  7. Thank you for info! Anyone who has the GY, should stay away from traveling until replaced.
  8. The original Cracker Barrel is in Lebanon, just east of Nashville. The Fairgrounds are next door, you can dry camp at either location! Herman is correct about Alma, but I don't remember the name. Carl
  9. Joe, how many trucks is part of the control test? how long, until you know the results? Carl
  10. dave. 3 things to do. Make sure that step is completely out, before stepping on it. Keep it clean and lube it every month! You'll be happy camper! Check all your ground wires, once a year...for everything! Sorry, that's 4. Carl
  11. scheon5. Welcome to the Forum. If you post your coach info under your signature, like most off us do, then we can better help you. If you don't have the Engine manual for your coach...call HR Tech Dept. with your engine number and they will be able to give you the info. Carl
  12. You will also have the Florida State Fair in the mix! Carl
  13. Casita50. Welcome to the Forum! The Tampa Supershow is an annual event, put on by the manufacturers and dealerships! FMCA is not involved officially, but you will find a lot of members in the surrounding RV parks. If you wish to go and don't have a reservation, you might be too late now. Call around, you might find a place, but it will probably be an hour away from Fairgrounds. A long, hectic and very popular week. Followed by Buccaneer days in Tampa Harbor and then the Strawberry Festival, in Plant City! Carl
  14. DOT # on tires come to my mind? Also, did PPL do a Motor service, with new oil, all filters, etc. Carl
  15. Anders. My system went down and it turned out to be a $7.95 splitter that was bad, only non Sony part in whole system, replaced and everything works great. Carl
  16. Check your voltage at batteries, don't just go by panel. Carl
  17. The problem with a fully stocked pantry is that you got to displace that with some thing else, or risk being over loaded...so tell me, where are you going next? I'll help lighten the load.
  18. Good thing, I'm not running for office. I have said this before, I'm not a PC person. But, would it be difficult (for the benefit of all) to get a heads up, before the plug is pulled? Carl
  19. Doc Mike. Feel free to chime in anytime! Enjoy the cooler weather next week and the beautiful Fall Colors! Carl
  20. Herman, that would be a very big conference call... Wayne, you where lucky, I could not even get on main page FMCA! Error 404 Site could not be found...I felt like a step child. Carl
  21. A typical example of a new computer system and programs....it's only as good as the information it receives! Apparently, someone in FMCA did not enter the correct information, I see no other explanation coming for why the whole system was down since 1:57 pm Sunday until now! Or did they ( IT) forget to plug it in? Also, getting any kind off info on why I could not even sign in (Error: 404), over the phone yesterday, was to me appalling! Why all the secrecy ? Carl
  22. Pacifica is about 20 min from SF and has some nice parks, don't have info on hand about which one, just Google, same with the Big Sur area and Monterey.
  23. Home Depot or Lowes may have some that will fit...unless you want what came with coach.
  24. BillA. Makes good sense and it's a logical move by Dish, they do evolve, based on the majority of their users and tech available. That is for land based, not mobile. We are but a drop in the bucket. Well written and explained! For satellite, I prefer DIRECTV ....only have it at home. In coach, I use bat wing (my little, like a plunger of a ball point pen, button is under my raise/lower, etc. panel) or cable hook up at campground. bigjim1. 15+ years in FMCA is not a Newbie, but we all have been so, on the Forum! I was a "newbie" 3 years ago, yet I had over 40 years with FMCA on-off-on! My first # was F 6xx8 now it's F 342xx3...I don' care! I do care that I have learned a lot since I have been on forum, met forum members and still learning! That to me is the bottom line.. Carl
  25. David. I had a problem with mine...I had over extended the gen slide...got a person to wiggle it back and fourth while I pushed the retract/extend switch..It came in. Same happened on step well cover. I don't take either to it's full extension anymore and have had no repeat. If that don't work, do as Herman suggested. As for your jacks, have you re-checked your fluid level ? As WBill suggested in case you had air bubbles in system! If you can, measure the area of exposed cylinder of jack, it should be 4" in up position...it's possible that they have gone up beyond your stops! Let me know, I have 51 pages of jack info! Carl
