  1. Unless I'm reading this wrong, I read it twice, why would you as a seller of a coach, that is worth 2x the amount of the one you want...have to be approved by 3 banks? I know some folks are up side down on their original loan, but a $180K on a $180K coach..that I have never heard off ! There is something here that your not telling us! Selling or buying anything, without all the player's signatures on a legal document is basic practice! Medico. I have read your response to post's on this Forum before...Want to enlighten us? Carl
  2. Thank you for the insight... Carl
  3. Jim. Sorry. CC is now owned by Winnebago...all inventory. Don't know if WB knows what they have, but a call to them (Tech Dept.) can't hurt. You still will need coach ID, Engine model and number.. Out off curiosity, what happened to the broken off tip? Did you tell the dealer to find you a new dip stick, if not, why? Carl
  4. Joe, Herman and Wayne...this whole link blew away any thoughts I had about eating anything, anytime soon!
  5. Does that mean that they only last one year? Spring for 2 AMG's, 7 years worry free!
  6. His reply is on another post...geez! General Discussion!
  7. Thankfully I have the stackable version, and never had a problem with it...knock on wood.
  8. A donut also prevents the possibility of "splash back"! If you look at the picture on page one that has a strap with 2 weights over the hose end...the end has treads on it for 3" and 3 12" sever connection...problem is, it's not a perfect world, so quite often you can screw the L in but not out..I got tired off having to replace them, so I now stick the donut into park sewage connector and plug my sewer hose into it. Carl
  9. Tape it, or encase it in plumbing pipe foam...the gray tubular stuff that prevents freezing, looks like a noddle! Carl
  10. Wayne, go to main page of Forum...you'll see Browes tab, below it is Forum next to forum is Blog, Gallery, etc!
  11. No water should ever go to dryer...it could be a very shocking experience! Sounds like your valve is not closing properly. A relay should open the water valve for wash and close for dry. Carl
  12. You also could be low on hydraulic fluid.
  13. thirdrock44. Welcome to the Forum! Better keep the toad for a long time! Nice combo. Carl
  14. WBill. My arms are longer than yours and there is no way that I can grab my window awning arms when I'm driving...don't think I could get there when stopped, with half my body outside! As Wayne asked...look at window gasket if you have one! All American coaches had the wind noise problem in 2010...the funky little wings we have in front, deflected the wind and no noise! Turned out, it was caused by the degree of the window curvature. Carl
  15. Blake, the big difference I have felt since going with a 45' and Tag is the ride, no side buffeting from trucks and ease of driving and I'm on a Spartan chassis! The big drawback is the length, a 45' is easy to torque if your not careful about driveways and turning into an uphill that is sloped wrong.. Also, low water crossings, easy to get stuck, high center! Carl
  16. Thanks! Have a Shriner friend in Galveston who purchased used, a HR with the tag, I think it's 34'. It's still sitting in the garage since 2008, ran great for 4 years, but we had Hurricane IKE in 2008 and it sat under 7' of water for 10 days...now it's a big dog house! Reason for the OP is that I want to down size, but I want a Tag! 45' & 4 slides is a bit much for one person! Carl
  17. That does explain it....What did they write? Books on travel? Fiction or non Fiction? Carl
  18. My bad. Got this post confused with "Maiden Voyage"! Carl
  19. Erniee. I suspect its South of Birmingham, AL. State Park. Carl
  20. The pup is ecstatic ! per owner, will be so for weeks to come! That was a nice HH and dinner last night...thank you! Next time, I'll bring another steak (from meat market) and the Pup will be sad! Carl
  21. The only coach I have had with a Tag is my current 45 footer. I was wondering if a 38', 40', 42' or 43' Tag, had the same comfort in the ride, as I have? Carl
  22. I for one, can't think of anyone who writes better than Tom. I love reading your blog and it's written in such a way, that I can visualize every thing your experiencing, then I want to go there! You also, don't leave anything out, in your suggestions on the Forum! Thank you. Carl
  23. Keon. I love, non PC ! If you have not eaten or drank it, then it does not belong in the black tank or septic system! Carl
  24. Frank. I would have to Google the Ford/Volvo relationship in cars...Volvo/Prevost and Volvo/Cummings is the truck Division that has always been Volvo. I could not find any reason as to why Volvo does not now, nor in the future, use or have any plans to use, their own engines! Might have something to do with gearing. Most chassis and engines are a year or more, older than the coach. I'm guessing that your engine is a 2006 or earlier, since you don't know about particulate filter! That was mandatory in 2007 per Federal EPA standard, then in 2010 the other EPA kicked in and all diesel engines has to use DEF...to be green. My coach was built in January of 2010, but my chassis and engine is December of 2009! I have the particulate...about every 4,000 miles +/- it goes into re generation mode and both exhausts, heat up to 1,200 +/- degrees for 15 +/- minutes, then return to 400-600 degrees. Thankfully mine is set so that I can keep rolling! Others are set, where you have to stop driving and let it burn off for 15 +/- minutes! With the DEF(in a separate tank) it sprays a set amount for each tank full of fuel...you do get an increase in mpg but it robs you of about 12% HP. I had that in a 2011 Allegro Bus 36 foot, Cummings 450, mpg=7.2 avg. at 67mph avg. Current coach, Cummings 425, mpg=6.4 avg. at 64mph avg. Nice numbers, but the weight and drag is greater in the 45 footer. I did not go from gas to DP because of mpg and cost per gallon. Ride and hauling ability was the factor! I'm a member off Shriner's International and I was one of four, that had a staker trailer, that was full of all the "toy's" we rode in Parades all over the US. No more, now I just love the ride! Carl
