When was the last time you had your roof checked for re caulking ? Your leak may not be the slide, could be coming from another area via capillary action! As far as a leak test is concerned that is normally done in an enclosed bay under high pressure, like a heavy rain storm. I do mine at Lazydays in Tampa and that is about the only thing they know how to do well ! Carl

Well, there is shine and then there is Shine! My friend in TX likes honey shine that I get in the Blue Ridge Mts. of Ashville every year! When I was drinking, I preferred apple shine from the Pigeon Fork area....non of them have seen a fed. sticker. Carl

You ever done a cost comparison? Who cost more per day, the Husky or the coach? Throw the bearings?...that's interesting! So, in the USMC, they teach you to remove the propellant from a bullet, so that you can throw a handful of lead at your enemies? Actually, a hunting slingshot, in the confined space of a MH, will kill a human or totally incapacitate one, depending on the bearing used and ability of the shooter ObedB is correct and I will add: If you have bullets, but no gun or gun with no bullets, bang, bang your dead!

Wayne. I do carry a slingshot in my bay, along with a box off 3/8" SS ball bearings....small game hunting on some land I have in West Texas. Carl

Sand Dunes, Gator Reptile Park. Straight up Hwy 285...been years since last time! When do you expect to be in Amarillo?

Owners said they had the front AC unit blow up? yesterday....Tech figures it fried some wires to rear of coach and shorted out today! Nobody will really know until they take the coach apart. Flat bed tow truck showed up about 2:30pm and got the 40' DP ! Parked across road from me. It had less than 1000 miles on it and their best friends are parked next to me, they also have less than a 1000 miles on their Allegro "Open Road" gas! Both couples got new 2016's a week prior to Perry ! Between them, it's their 18th Tiffin MH, in 27 years ! The 34' gasser has no problems....yet ! Carl

Joe, is that bra a diamond shield? If so, removal is a real B. 9 pound dog? Geez, that's normal for LA. Cockroaches and Mosquitos! Carl

Supplemental Braking - What's Best for My Situation?

Since I don't have a temp gun in my repertoire, I'll just have to wing it. Took it to Wall Mart earlier today, it works and I had brakes. Monty installed the air line above my radiator, when he found out that I really do go 4 wheeling! Been around for 73 years, but that don't mean you have to act that.. Carl- 34 replies

LOLOL. Well, I now have Palmolive(better for hands, don't you know) in tank and fixing to go get Calgon, just as soon as the Fire Dept, ambulance and cops leave...RV fire, not to ground, no one hurt! Perry responds time was quick ! Carl

Welcome back and hope you and DW had a pleasant cruise on the Anthem! You did use a good tape, I like Gorilla because it does not come off in rain or snow...to remove use Windex! While you was gone we had and still having a 100 year flood in LA, Miss, and Texas...if I-10 is open again at TX., LA. border, then it's limited, same with I-10 in the Henderson area. I-20 also flooded in LA. both East of Monroe and East of Shreveport.... some places got 18"-24" in 24 hours! I-40, I-30 and I-20/10 in Texas West bound is OK. Have a great trip & get that roof taken care of ASAP! Carl

Kay. Back to the original "mouse trap"! If it isn't broke, why fix it?" Carl

To be sarcastic or to belittle people of knowledge, that do not a 100% agree with your point of view, seems to be a trait with your! If you do not value the opinion and knowledge of others, then why bother to be on this or any other Forum? If " over a hundred years of hands on RV suspension experience," is worthless, IMO, Then every class, that you have ever attended, to be an Inspector. makes your information and knowledge, also "worthless"!

John. I take it that you will take Hwy 550 thru Cuba and Bloomfield to Durango? It's a good road ! If you have some time in Durango, take the Million Dollar Hwy, 550N in toad. Unbelievable vista with the San Juan & Cristobal mountains...if your into small gage RR, they have one out off Durango also! Carl

Ah, Ha. The Bribe and Barter System....Love it ! Don't know what a good Brisket goes for in PA. But bulk sausage at Sam's goes just as well ! Your only problem right now is a North Eastern headed your way, with SNOW ! Carl

Obe, Now that's a deal, since Joe is your neighbor, he comes and help then you don't have to think too much.

Joe. Easter Sunday is the 27th this year! I'm having a 1 1/2" thick, prime beef, rib eye and a whole NE Lobster! Beef medium rare, lobster just beyond medium. My last whole meal for about 3 weeks, and last steak for 5 months! All my teeth will come out and oral surgery will be done, Implants and temporary teeth installed, during a 6 hour period of time the morning of the 29th! Nothing but mush for 10 days, then what I call "Old English boarding house", over cooked food, for a month with all the fish I wish to eat, (unfortunately most of that month, will be on a Trans Atlantic Cruise. RS would be jealous!). I'll send out some PM's, on " how many ways can you do FISH.! " , Carl

ObedB, Kay. I intend to do so, when I leave Perry on Monday, or I might leave on Sunday to get a head start on the insanity (there is at least 2000 coaches here)! Yes, I normally dump at 3/4 full and would love to do so again!!! That's why I think that a manual toilet is the best answer for an RV. You can add a bag of ice cubs, soap and water and let the ride take care of cleaning the tank....I used to do that about every 2 weeks and in 45 years, I had no black tank problems ! The current system has been nothing but problems in the last 3 years! I have always had a great appreciation for KISS. Carl
