  1. OMG! Good reason to check on converter periodically....heading there now! Carl
  2. Welcome to FMCA and the Forum! If you want to mount one now, you can do as Herman said, use double stick tape. You can also drill 2 holes, one on each side (long way) off plate and mount on ladder with electric ties & order the bracket (2-4 week delivery). As Herman asked, have you joined a chapter yet? Great way to meet people with your interests! SWG stands for Swinging Golfers, web site via Google. Good luck and safe travels Carl

    Wheel Bearings

Good morning! Woke up wondering how often or at what mileage, should the bearings be checked, replaced or repacked? Carl
  4. Herman. What tech? CC closed their doors about 6 years ago! Couple of years ago, I read an article in FMCA magazine, about how the kids may come out with a CC in 2016....nothing since. Carl
  5. Are the tires original? When where they aligned? How does the sidewall's look, any cracking? Carl
  6. Is that bed by Innomax of Denver, CO.?
  7. Dave, welcome to FMCA and Forum! You mentioned Golf Cart, is that for tooling around CG or do you play golf? Swinging Golfers (SWG) is a chapter off FMCA and we have a web page that you can Goggle. One sure way to meet people, is to join one or more chapters and FMCA has hundreds of them, all over North America. If you go to FMCA main site and sign in, click on chapters. Good luck and enjoy all that we offer! Carl
  8. epstep. I have Blue Sky for MH. Everything else, is covered by USAA. Have you checked BS to see if they have a liability coverage for your lot? Allstate comes to mind also. There are Life Insurance Company's that also are into vehicle and property coverage. Goggle it! Carl
  9. Welcome to the Forum. You might consider renting some chains. Been over both roads, but not in May...July and August, and on both occasions, I ran into sleet and snow on some of the passes. Last year, after the Redmond, Oregon rally, I was in Salt Lake City in early September and decided not to take 80 East, good thing, 18 wheelers, RV's and car's was stuck for 24 hours due to snow and Ice! 84 and 80 are good roads, you just have to be aware of the weather in the Mountains! Carl
  10. popatop. Welcome! Cummins Coach Care, services a lot more than just engines and generator. I take mine in every 15,000 miles or 1 year, whatever comes first. As long as you keep the components serviced as recommended by the owners manual....you'll have no problems. Gremlins are everywhere, so take them as they come, especially on a new coach! Enjoy the ride Carl
  11. Sorry, I should have gone into more detail. I'll let the coffee kick in first, my computer is an hour ahead off me! Thank you, Brett and Rich. Carl
  12. 09bounder, welcome to the Forum. Do you have the same problem, when your on Generator? If not, then the relay switch needs replacing. Ref. brake/turn signal. Your coach is pre wired (normally) for towing, toad is not. Who did the tow installation? Carl
  13. Bennie, It would be useful if we knew what kind of coach and size of engine? Also, answer from the manufacturer! Carl
  14. The reason for not using sheets? They have wax in them & it clogs all filters in any washer/dryer. Info from a friend that own several laundry's. My washer/dryer in coach is Splendide Ariston stacked, no problems. Carl
  15. DODENTHAL, Welcome to the Forum. You have probably seen roof mounted open dish or a trackvision pod. Portable units look similar, but they are not attached to coach. You take them out off storage bay at CG and place them in a clear sight area away from coach. You can get them for any satellite provider. Google Camping World and look under Portable satellite receivers and you will see a picture off each and description! There are several links here for flat screen TV conversion! Carl
  16. I do mine just like Tom, only difference is, that I have to do inside and outside! Therefore, I go thru the steps slower. If I get interrupted by another camper, I start over. I answer no phone calls, Attach toad, L/R, breaks work, tail lights...then I walk out and look at my departure to see if it's open. I don't like GPS, got lost, too many times! I have a photographic memory, in color, so maps are fine! I put my phone on silent mode. Take your time and enjoy the beautiful country! Carl
  17. rhart, Hi! Are you getting the coach from a dealer? There are several out there, that offer a hands on driving school. The Escapees, a chapter of FMCA, also offer a driving school and DP MH school. FMCA, at the rally's, are set up to weight your coach, so is Escapees. Congratulation. Oh, Porsche Cayenne, can not be towed 4 down, even if it could, who would want to? Mine is a 08', black/tan. Carl
  18. dirt. Have you removed the switch and checked to see if you have any wires going to it? Carl
  19. Don, Welcome to the Forum. Most States, is 65', but I have never heard of anyone being stopped for "over length". A lot off 45' coaches roll down the freeway, hauling 30' stackers! I would haul the Caddy with the trailer you got. Enjoy the ride Carl
  20. barker, welcome. Don't know what year and make you have now. I do agree with Bill! If your into full timing, you will need the storage space and you can get a washer/dryer installed. All in one unit or stackable. If you don't have slide outs, you can have them installed, mater of fact, it's a lot cheaper than getting a new coach. Luck Carl
  21. rhart. I read it. Now things are making sense! Please let us know what DP you finally buy. You have time and your looking, so that is a good thing. Regards Carl
  22. rhart; Since you are also under Towing with a 30' Class C, I presume that is what you decided on. Good luck and happy travels.
