  1. XZE has replaced the XRV, I bet you did not follow Brett's link! Carl
  2. Herman. You trying to say, "the magnet", did not work anymore! From all the posts, Norcold is a JOKE What kind, or make of fridge you putting in? Carl
  3. We have a lot of members! Annual conventions were fine, until we just had way too many coaches show up! Carl
  4. Can't open the water/Aqua Hot compartment. I don't know if accidentally leaving Aqua Hot on diesel for 400 miles has anything to do with it. Is there a over ride or reset switch for lock? Key won't do it either Carl.
  5. My fuse is good, but the toilet thinks that the black tank is full and it's actually empty! I suspect something is blocking the sensor. My question is: Can I use the San i Flush system to fill tank with water? I normally just use it long enough to get clear water return. Carl
  6. Wayne. Also a good idea. Mine is on right side of dash. Hard to get at for medium dog, easy for kids. I don't have kids! Carl
  7. ObedB I'm with you! Do not like or have any use for a GPS. Bill. Where the BLANK is Cornrow, TX.??? Carl.
  8. I can only repeat what owners manual say!
  9. Found the right nut/washer attached yesterday...will fix Fri. I'll have 9 days at the RV park.
  10. Jack. Since I put mine down, I had forgotten Lucky's habit of drive chair sitting and yesterday I cleaned all interior and exterior windows. I can see clearly now that all the nose prints are gone! LOL. I used to tie a bandana around my brake release. Your idea is a lot easier. I'm getting another dog, so I'll remember that! Carl.
  11. Wayne. Click on the picture of The tireman, he is our go to person on all things tire! Carl
  12. I totally agree with Bill. First you have to like living in it, second is if it's used, how well did previous owners take care of it and how much will it cost you after you buy it, to bring it to the condition you want. Like, does it need new tires, awnings, batteries, up graded TV etc. New or used, you will have a substantial list of things that need to be fixed. Does the used coach come with a warranty? Reputable dealer is usually 90 days. Do you care where the manufacturer is at? I have had a 11' Allegro Bus, but not a Entegra. From what I have learned myself and talked to others that I know, Entegra Anthem offers a lot of bang for the bucks! Other than that, it's "who likes what brand the best"! As for rear bath, I have had them, back in the 70's and 80's and they where great then, but now I would not, because I'm 6' 8" and all the ones I have been in, you have to step up...I can't stand straight in them! Carl
  13. When I got my Jeep Wrangler Sport, it had 16" rims with General A/T tires (they are a joke) and by law the rims was fitted with APM's. I changed to 18" rims with Nitto Trail tires and the yellow tire light on dash came on. I pulled the fuse and lost the light, radio and R/L turn signals! Fuse is in and so is light. I can see having TPM's on cars, but on a Jeep 4x4 is plain stupid! It's an off road vehicle and as such, I let air out constantly depending on the terrain for traction. I'll never sell the Jeep, because then I would have to put the 16" back on and with a 3" lift, HD off road shocks and springs, it would look a little funny! Carl
  14. FIVE. If your key is on and engine running. What is there to prevent the child from activating slide, while your driving down the road? I asked a Tech the same question after I bought my 07' Tour...I got a blank look! On it, I could put out all 4 slides with engine running. J. I dump all air prior to leveling, then level by air or HWH...then I put out slides after I hook up and remove what I need from outside bays! I get a smoother operation that way, because there is no chance of binding. Carl
  15. Good grief! Mineral oil, Solvent and Lard...that's "slick Willie" selling snake oil again! I would not put that in a gasser (which it was designed for). Definately NOT in my DP...that's insane! Carl
  16. J, How they get in? One of lives little mysteries, just like the elephant grave yard or dead snakes! LOL lewis, I have had dogs and cats for over 30 years now and no harm has come to them. My 2 best friends, have large Ranches in both Texas and LA. They are the ones who told me what to use. Animals will not lick or eat something that repels them. I and everyone else I know, uses Anti Freeze...that's something that you have to be careful with around pets! We all have stuff in the house and garage, that needs to be kept away from animals and children. That does not mean that we can't use it in a controlled way! Carl
  17. Jayson. Welcome back to Forum! I don't know about Sumitomo for a Motor home application. I do know that a friend got them last year on his 42' fifth wheel and truck. He has had no problems with them. As long as they have the same load range, fits your rims and meets the chassis recommendation, they should be OK. Since we don't know what kind of coach you have, I would recommend that you call the chassis manufacturer or coach manufacturer. Your tires will age out, long before they wear out. The Tireman is our expert, click on his face and send him a mail. I run Michelins on front 315/80 and the other 6 are 295/80, got all 8 new ones last Aug. on the FMCA Fleet Program and saved a ton! Carl
  18. Hate, no follow up treads! Oh Well, perhaps this has or will help another Carl
  19. Bill. Not in your life time or mine, I expect those numbers will be opposite 50/50 or 5% Diesel, 95% BIO. Up until 18 months ago, BP, Exxon-Mobil, Shell and Chevron had a Bio diesel research center at University of Houston... they shut it down, not due to failure or funding, but the cost of production would cost the consumer $6.00+ a gallon and they figured that no one but a few would buy it! Unless Cummins shows me, in writhing that I can run higher than a 20% bio, without hurting any of my components, gaskets or seal, I will stay at 15% or less! Carl
  20. Herman. I get mine from Farm/Ranch store. It's a green bar that looks like a Kwiki Lunch. Break off small chunks and throw them around in compartments, on ground and I also put some where the water hose and elect. cords are at. The rodents are attracted to the stuff, they love it. One little nibble and they have to drink water, they founder and die away from the coach, house, garage or barn! Great stuff, because it does not hurt or affect other animals. One bar last me 2 years....$5.95. Cheaper than a cat and no mess! Carl
  21. When you need to be towed, the odds are that you won't have power! Therefore, one of your air valves has a female connector, it's for airing up your max ride height. That prevents bottom dragging when towed. Best case is to be on a flat bed! Carl
  22. Kay. Excellent article! Explanation makes sense. Also makes me wonder why, as Michelin suggests, we don't run extra wide singles? Would solve a lot of problems and make life in RV simpler! That's all I see on buses and trucks in Norway every year! No dually. Carl
  23. I gave up with mine 3 DP's ago. Use 2 cordless, 18 volt, Shark's. Gives me 30 minutes in coach and 15 minutes in toad. Happy, clean, camper! If I had a DW, suspect it would be different. Carl
  24. J. Hi! Story did not say how or why, but it rolled down a 200' easement. Not sure if I would just walk away, or claim it. If there is any chance of rolling one way or the other, put something in front of wheel and behind drive wheels! I use a 2' and a 4', 2"x12". Hi Insurance! Carl
