    Coolant Level Low

John, welcome and thanks for your input. Your idea, will probably help someone with a 90's Monaco! Mine, is a 2010 on a different chassis and manufacturer. I'll let American Coach take care of it next week, unless they will fit me in Friday or Sat. Carl
  2. Ray. If you have never seen it, then a tree broken in half is impressive. After "Rita", there was miles of the same, whole forest broken of about 20 foot from the ground! Same with "Ike" in 08'. You never hear about that, just "Kathrina" in poor New Orleans, LA. I have an 18 KW Onan, runs on propane, at the house! For 3 weeks there was no power, after "Ike", on Galveston Island. When they cut off natural gas, after the electric went out, my gen. was humming along. You might want to install one yourself, for peace of mind, when you and your coach is NOT there! Keep sawing, I heard it builds muscles you never knew, you had.... Carl

    Coolant Level Low

OK. For the first 4 hours this morning it was a quiet ride at 63 mph. Coolant temp 199 - 203, then on east side off Santa Rosa, NM. temp was 198 and everything came on again! I'm now in Amarillo, Texas and just got off the phone with Cummins. They think it's the sensor or the sending wire, yeh! Kicker is that they can't help me, it's a coach manufacturer problem, %$#&%! So I have to go true this c...p all the way to Decatur, Indiana! Herman, it was 56 in Grant this morning! Now tomorrow, probably not... Thanks again for all the input! Carl

Heading out on the I-40 Hwy. Will post again this evening! Carl
  5. I think it has to do with the width of your drive tires and box. If you do not overhang the yellow and white line, your legal. When the industry went from 96" to 102"W. They knew it would be legal in all states! There are some rural roads, I would not take anything wider that a Jeep! LOL
  6. Would help to know the size of his generator....if it's a 6KW, then it's reading correctly!

    Coolant Level Low

Hi Brett. Level is fine, I think, it's above the visual bubble. I have Silverleaf, but no codes. Also, got no code feedback on the dash (Cummins Center). When Coolant temp showed 198 - 201 nothing showed up, but at 181 - 196 the warning and check engine came on (I push a button) and the warning goes off for 5 - 10 minutes. Carl
  8. 45 foot, I'm well within Spartan tolerance! Your 40', I have a tag!

Left Cortez, CO. this morning. Engine light and Low Coolant came on/off all day. CC at 62, coolant temp 181 in morning, 198 afternoon, oil temp 196-199, trans. temp 200, all my parameters are good. Any thoughts? Carl
  10. Nice ride! Congratulation! It's not the destination....it's how you get there! Carl
  11. I like level. I think it will work fine at about 10 degrees up or down.
  12. Bill, Herman is, he's on the committee. I'll be up for a day trip, if I get back from Georgia in time. Carl
  13. adrainey. Welcome! I just added 3 quarts of distilled water to my coolant system. I also thought that my cap was frozen. I could turn it, but could not turn it off. I got my friend who is a lot stronger than me and he told me that you have to press down hard and cap comes off...it did! As Brett said, we covered this in another tread. Carl
  14. Jim. Hi. The only time my jacks leaked down (after 3 months in storage ), I had a small puddle and a loss fitting! That was HWH. Now have Power Gear levelers and air...no problems, had coach on levelers from April 3 to July 21, this year. Have a great day! Carl
  15. I also have USAA on most off my toys and house. However, not everyone can get USAA!
  16. Agree with Bill & Ray! I like speaking to a person. I have found a lot of Parks/Resorts that take reservation by computer, but that is only as good as the receiving end checks the reservations! I always call.
  17. Ray, you did a very good job! Great looking interior! Carl
  18. Bill is right. Start Generator and let it run about 2 minutes with no load, then run whatever you want. My coach is all electric with residential refrigerator. I run my Generator while I'm driving and at the campground, I take the load off and let it run for the time it takes to disconnect toad and shut it off...Same with engine. Enjoy your DP and happy trails! Oh, there is no such thing as a Stupid question on this Forum Carl
  19. The last time I had USAA on an RV was 05' on a Southwind. Then I called in 07' on a 40' DP and they referred me to Progressive! Same with my motor cycle. I still have them on my cars and house. I currently use Coach Net on my DP, Have had GS before and had no problems with them on gassers! On a DP all they want to do is send a tow truck, no matter the problem. Carl
  20. Wayne. Yes, it would! What each State charges, I don't care. There are some toll roads, that I need to start slowing down as soon as I get up to speed or take the long way around on a secondary road. I guess we have to wait until October and then how will we know, if the bill becomes a reality? Carl
  21. Bill. Quote " I keep the one for the car in a bag, so it can't be read when towing"! Your post 6:28 yesterday. Carl
  22. I called CCC and got no reply. Then I filled out their E-Mail and question form, but it would not allow me to submit. I'm going to measure my mirrors and get in touch with a flag Co. to see if I can have them made! Enough
