When choosing an inverter to run electronics, you should use a true sine wave inverter of the appropriate size. Often failure of the tv is the result of using a modified or square sine wave inverters. Non solid state devices such as heat elements and motors are not effected.

At Redmond, Cummins was saying that bio diesel is ok if B20 or less.

I would not take the chance.

Yes you can but may have to use a trailer.

Tires 235/80R 22.5 Not Available (Back Order 2-3 Months)
desertdeals69 replied to J79Engine's topic in Tires
I have used Toyo 245/75x22.5 and they are close to the same size as the Michelins. They seem to ride harder I think because the sidewalls are stiffer because they are a truck tire. Delivery trucks use them. -
Have you checked the door seal? Make sure its tight all the way around.

I have made the trip several times and I prefer Las Vegas up 95 towards Fallon then over towards Calif on 80 then 395 to Susanville then 139 to the Oregon border then 39 to 97 to Bend, Redmond. Relatively easy drive with not too much traffic.

Check with Roadmaster, they list a bracket kit. http://roadmasterinc.com/vehicle_guide/tow_bar_brackets.php -
My guess is a bad solenoid. The contractor rotates and sometime it makes contact and sometimes not.

Added 12V Power/Inverter Power To Refrigerator
desertdeals69 replied to tireman9's topic in Modifications
T9 The key to how successful your refrigerator operation works depends on the efficiency of the inverter. To provide the 2.7 amps at 120 volt will take how many amps at 12 volt? Probably 30 or more amps. You should not mount the inverter in the battery box because of corrosion. Depending on the size of the alternator it may have to be larger. When an alternator is rated, the amp rating is the max it will put out which could be twice the continuous duty it will be able to do. Talk to me at Redmond, I will be there. -
Hook the cable to the appropriate connection on the tv via the on board cabling and select the tv tuner to cable and search for the available channels.

The tech was correct in stating that the rv frig would draw too much current. The reason the microwave works is that it is on for a short period of time, usually less than a few minutes. On mine when it is on it is drawing about 200 amps from the battery bank. My rv frig draws about 30 amps when cycled on, and in about 8 hours has depleted a 6 golf cart battery bank.

Its common for an additional charge for service at a cg if you are the only job that is being done. If the service truck is already at the location and he doesn't need to leave the cg to do the job then there is usually no extra charge. If you have a 22.5 tire, that is the easiest tire to change with only two special pry bar tools. It takes about 15 minutes to change, I know because I invested in the tools and always change mine whenever I need to.

If you use a sprayer you should use pure water or you will corrode the radiator in a short amount of time.

A parts house that deals in truck parts would be able to help you. I found a parts store in Phoenix that found me the hubs and drums I needed for my spartan chassis/rockwell axle.

Does it have a fan clutch? On mine and several others that I have looked at the fan is direct bolted to the shaft with no clutch at all.

I use the signal meter to maximize the signal on the winegard.

If I remember correctly there is a bolt that goes through the slide on each side that secures it. Sometimes there is a fixed net the bolt screws into and sometimes its a loose nut.

What is the ambient temp? It maybe overheating because of blockage in the cooling system.

My Prius gets 50 plus mpg and it seats 5. I have got as much a 56 mpg from Phoenix to Lk Havasu.

The last time I was at the Grand Canyon I stayed in the campground in the park. No hookups but the convenience of not having to commute 60-80 miles to view the canyon is good. There is a lot to do in the area we usually stay a week or more.

A trucker friend told me that brakes are required in Canada for all axles on the ground of a towed vehicle. He has been refused entry at the border trying to deliver a new trailer. If you consider a Prius enough of an electric I tow mine on a dolly.

Usually it uses the coach battery. Does it not crank or does it crank and not start? Is the house batteries up?
