  1. Take the intake hose off and hook up a hose and put it in a bucket of water to see if it pumps ok. If not there is something wrong with the pump. If it runs ok then there is a restriction in the tank/plumbing.
  2. Make sure there is no kinks in the hose next to the pump and make sure the hose has not come apart inside.
  3. Make sure your odometer is correct. Check it along the highway that has a check section in tenths of a mile.
  4. If you slow down to 55-57 you will get the best mileage. You should see an increase of about 25 %. I drive my diesel pusher 32 foot towing a Silverado 1500 and get between 10 and 11 mpg going 58-60 mph.
  5. From Bellingham to Haines is $69.10 per foot and maybe a surcharge for over 96 inches wide. They measure from the very front to the rear of the toad. 50 foot would be about $3500 plus passengers about $337 each.
  6. There is a 65 foot overall limit on length in most states.
  7. When we looked into the marine highway we thought it was too expensive so we left our motorhome in a campground in Burnaby and they shuttled us to the cruise dock in Vancouver. We did the inland passage for 7 nights and then the campground shuttle picked us up. We then left for Alaska for 5 weeks of driving and sightseeing.
  8. Solid metal extentions are the best. I would also have a TPMS system such a Tire Minder. They work great.
  9. I use the system by ezgo golf carts. It has a 1 gallon resovoir that is mounted higher than the batteries with a on off valve. Just open until the clear tubes are full and shut off and look at the level indicators on each cell. If not all full open the valve for a few more seconds.
  10. You could wire 2 in series or use a resistor. I think I have seen 24 volt leds at the consumer electronics show in Vegas.
  11. Thats the way I installed my inverter/charger, because I have had a failure and I could just unplug it and plug my controlled outlets.
  12. I would consider LED fog lights because there is no reflector. Extremely bright with different light patterns. I been testing several different ones and they are amazing. They come in different sizes of round and rectangular.
  13. You have the right idea on the wall repair. I had to do the same to a couple of areas on my coach. After cutting out the bad part and making a rectangle hole I took a router and cut down 1/16 inch about 1/2 inch in and inserted a 1/16 inch plywood. I used model airplane plywood but if you can't get it you can use 1/8 luan and do the same routing on the back side of the new piece and it will fit flush. I used waterproof glue.
  14. Get one with a manual transmission and you won't have the problems that have been documented on this forum.
  15. I think I would change the locks because of all of the other rvers would have the same key.
  16. It sounds like there is water leaking into the area. Have you located the source? Another way of doing the sealing would be to coat the electrical connection with liquid neoprene.
  17. On the installs that I do, I angle the tv downward so that the center of the screen up and down is at 90 degrees aimed at you eyes. This gives you the best picture.
  18. I have Surge Guard 50 amp that works for me. It will shut down for over or under voltage and won't turn on if there is a problem with the wiring at the campground.
  19. When we go to DC we always stayed a Greenbelt National park. Subway station is 1 1/2 miles away. It was $8 a night and no hookups but does have water and sewer dump station. We usually stay a week or so.
  20. On those oil caps why don't you replace the cap with tubing so you can oil them from the outside?
  21. I've noticed that my fan on my dp has nicks from rocks and other debris. I don't know of a practical way of preventing it. Maybe you could fashion some kind of spray system where you could just have to hook up a garden hose to flush the dirt and mud off. Similar to a salt water flush out of an outboard motor.
