  1. My wife and I have had AT&T for many many years and have had no issues. Not sure what the problem is with downloading issues with some people. It is what it is. If you’re not happy with your phone/Wi-Fi, change provider
  2. I personally would go south first. There are quite a few national parks and monuments south of I70, Rocky Mountain in Colorado, there are two more in Texas. Petrified Forest and Painted Desert, Grand Canyon in Arizona. Joshua National in Southern California (I10), Sequoia, Kings Canyon, Yosemite all on US Hwy99. There are numerous coastal parks in Northern California, Oregon and Washington. Don’t forget Glacier and Mt. Rushmore. Weather will be much better up north in the late spring and summer.

    Tucson

    I’ll be there
  4. I had the same issue with my jacks. I found grease fittings at the lower portion of each jack assembly. I cleaned the rams with silicone spray, wipe off excess and greased all the fittings (4 in all) and the issue was fixed. Hope this helps.
  5. Herman, you had mentioned a water pump that you installed on your m/h. you said it was set at 50psi. I am having a difficult time finding a part #. Do you remember the part # of the one you bought. Thanks
  6. Be ready for HIGH winds that time of year. Especially on the 10 and 8, thru Arizona and California
  7. Usually a flashing check engine light means you need to stop. You need to contact a repair facility that can diagnose your vehicle. If you continue to drive it when the light is flashing you can cause serious damage to the engine or transmission. Oriellys and Auto Zone are only going to give you a code number. They are not qualified to diagnose your issue.
  8. First thing to have checked would be the alignment. Steering components could cause this issue. The other could be a defective shock absorber. Does not look like a defective tire issue. Where a you located. That would help locating a shop close by. I would NOT put to many miles on that tire until you get the issue and tire replaced
  9. I have worked on many positive vehicles. Most of them were GM and/or Ford. those can be very confusing to anyone that has not seen them before. My neighbor thought someone wired the battery (6 volt) backwards. that cost him a bundle.
  10. If you have a FCC switch, make sure it's in the on position. some coach's run the running lights thru that switch (witch is controlled by a relay). Just a thought.
  11. We will be at Gillette This year. Hope to meet some of you there.

    coolant change

I own a 2004 Holiday Rambler, 38foot with a 330ISC Cummins engine. looking for info on flushing engine coolant or maybe a video link that shows how to and tips. I've been told that this engine does and does not have a coolant filter. Thank you in advance
  13. If Is bone stock, just put the transfer case in neutral, make sure the front hubs are unlocked. it would really help if we new if the truck was listed and has big tires. It does make a difference on how it handles while being towed. BTW what kind of transfer case do you have. Some of the older ones had an oil pump in them, if that is the case it can not be flat towed.
  14. The ground signal maybe coming from (going thru) a relay. It also maybe a shared circuit relay. I would be looking for the relay that operates the jacks to see if it is defective. Just a thought
  15. wildbill308, a walk thru tech teaches new owners how everything works in the coach they just bought. It doesn't cost them anything where I work. I just finished renewing the battery disconnect solenoid and control switch and it seems like the lights are a little brighter. The solenoid is located in the electrical cabinet, at the left front corner and the control switch (salesmen switch) is located in the control panel at the front door. Everything is fixed.
  16. Thanks Herman I got bored and went back to work at Giant RV as a walk thru tech. We have boxes of obsolete parts that are going back to the manufacture and I found the correct switch in one of many boxes. I will install it tomorrow when I get home from work.
  17. Does anyone have a wiring diagram for this switch or know where i can get one. I'm having an issue with this one. The interior lights will start to flicker and then go out. If I touch, not depress, the switch, everything will start working again. I've called REV and are no help. The coach is 17 years old and I think I just need to replace it. I haven't been able to locate one here in California. I've been told that it is no longer available. If I had a wiring diagram, I could tell if a newer style switch can be used in it's place. Thanks. 2004 Holiday Rambler Endevor 330 ISC Cummins
  18. Bcusick60 welcome to FMCA. I am the Central VP of the western area and i am going to private message you a name and phone number for the northern California area. If you have any questions, he can answer them. I am not aware of any chapter in the western area that require a sponsor to visit a chapter rally.
  19. Most of the time a backfire in the intake manifold/carb. is usually a lean condition or the ignition module and stator are shutting off and back on due to heat transfer thru the distributor. Running out of power while under load (climbing) sounds like you do not have enough fuel flow to the carb., in other words the fuel pump cannot supply enough fuel to the carb to keep the float bowl full. Those two areas should be your primary concerns. If your mechanic can't check that correctly, I would be looking for another shop. Just my opinion. I have been in the automotive, marine, RV and race engine business for over 50 years. You can PM me here and i will talk you thru this issue.
  20. Just a few questions. Did you have the fuel pressure checked. When you say internal fuel pump was replaced, do you mean there is a pump in the tank or are you taking about the accelerator pump in the carb. If the carb was sitting for a long time and not ran the accel. pump will dry out and cause hesitations. if the accel. pump is not suppling enough fuel into the venturies, it will backfire back thru the carb. Does it backfire in the exhaust? If I am not mistaken it has an ignition module and pick up coil (stator) in the distributor that can cause this issue if backfire is in the carb. Did your mechanic check to see how many degrees of slop is in the timing chain? Just a a few things to know before trying to help diagnose your problem. If the fuel pump is in the tank you would probably are talking about the throttle body. It kind of looks like a carb., but has two fuel injectors on top. you can PM me and ill give you my phone number and i can walk you thru what you need to check.
  21. I had to relog in to get everything to work again

Praying that all goes well, Herman
  23. Because it's a CAT, you would be doing yourself a favor and have an expert/professional do the diagnostics
  24. I have installed a few Diablo's on a few customers rigs. My suggestion is don't waste your money. Your hp and torque gain is minimal at best. If you do decide to try a programmer, DON'T put it on the performance setting unless you have deep pockets. Make sure you install a EGT gauge before you do anything. Just my opinion.
