The Union Pacific main line goes right behind my home in Colton, Ca. I got to see it three times under power. Once coming into to the the Colton yard, then from Colton to Barstow, Ca. yard and back to Colton. That thing is HUGE. It is articulated on the front set of trucks so it can make tight turns. We could feel the ground vibrate as it rolled by. What an awesome sight.

Just read an article about a tire enhancement product called Rettroband. Looks like a very good idea. Is there anyone out there that has had them installed on their coach and God forbid has anyone had a blowout while using them. There is a video on there web site, where they rigged a divice on the left front tire to cause a blowout. It looked like it worked rather well. Just looking for some more info. The web page is www.rettroband.com and the ad is on page 75 in the September issue of Family RVing.

Thank you, Herman. Very well said.

I had the same issue. it was a dirty/loose connection at the start capacitor.

If you are asking me about Triangle tires, no i have not heard of them. My tire guy has, but he said that no one in Southern California stocks them.

Hercules Strong Guard, sorry,i did not read your whole post.

My Hercules are 275/70R-22.5

I had Hancook tires when we bought the coach, but they timed out. We replaced the tires with Hercules tires and the ride and noise remained about the same. the only difference that i noticed was the wandering almost went away.

We basically had the same issue. It turned out to be a defective pressure sensor. The sensor is located in the air line at the park brake valve. it was very easy to replace. Mine was a three wire sensor and I understand there is a two wire sensor that was also used. Hope this helps.

The wiring diagram is what Holiday Rambler/Monaco have in their Manual. Hope this helps

i'm trying to figure out how to send a diagram via my phone. When i do, i;ll send it to you

I looks like a shielded cable, maybe the temp probe. look and see if the same looking cable is connected to your converter. I have a complete wiring diagram for my 2004 Endeavor and the only odd looking cable is the temp probe

Sounds like you might have a ground issue. What are the four wires that are being used, right turn/brake, left turn/brake, running lights and a ground or are you using the converter box that is mounted on the coach. I'm assuming, from your post, that the turn signals are not the same as the brake lights. The converter box may not be compatible with your cr-v.

Travel on I-15 from Las Vegas to St. George Utah
f442485 replied to wood6406's question in Destinations/Attractions
There are very few pull outs on that stretch of highway and a couple of fuel stops between Vegas and St. George. I have pulled that stretch many many many times. I prefer to drive in the early morning or late afternoon thru there. We usually start/stop at the Cracker Barrel in St. George -
I had a customer who owned one of those and he also owned a front wheel drive motor home. The one in the picture with the wooden bubble top wasn't on his. The front wheel drive, he owned was powered by the front wheel drive Oldsmobile Toronado. Was a pretty cool set up, but rather cumbersom to drive on curvey roads.

The first thing I checked when a customer had the same condition, was disconnect the power wire from the back of the alt. and recheck. If the rectifier bridge goes bad, it will drain a good battery over night and will still charge. Also check and make sure the battery isolator is working properly. Another thought would be to check and make sure the brake lights are turning off. One other thing you can check would be the radio. I know its a pain in the butt, but you need to try and unplug it from the back. The clock in the radio will stay on all the time, especially if it is an aftermarket radio.

There is a reason why a shear pin is used instead of a grade 8 bolt. By using a bolt, you will be moving the weak point to the gear box or motor. I would rather replace the .50 cent pin than replacing the $250 gear box. Just a thought.

Wildbill308, the splines look very worn from slipping in the arm assembly. Usually happens when lock nut becomes loose.

We have had Farmers for almost 50 years and my agent has never heard of a discount for all electric coach's. In fact, he said it might be a little more expensive because of the cost to repair/replace appliances (if you have that kind of coverage), we do.

Be very careful when adding performance products to your m/h, without checking with your transmission tech. Damage can/will happen. Been there, done that.

I had a 2006 F350 4x4 dually. They had my truck for 200 days. I was having the same issues. They even brought out service tech (problem solver) and he could not fix the issue. After rewriting the ECM and TCM programs five times, they ended up buying it back. Best thing that ever happened for me.

2500 Allison and no full throttle downshift - at times
f442485 replied to elizabethmeyer's topic in Chassis
I did a little research. I called a friend of mine also and confirmed that most of the time when you get no downshift, its because the program written in the trans controller will not allow a downshift if it will cause a over-rev condition for the engine. As far as the working mode/not working mode, he is not familiar with that term. Sorry for not being able to answer your concern any better. -
