    Kwikee Entry Steps

Some years ago I read of a man losing a finger in his steps.
  3. Steve Hartman of CBS is championing "Taps across America" for retired Air Force bugler Jari Villanueva ; at 3 PM local time. I apologize for not including the link in my first reply.
  4. I ran those BF Goodrich tires on my dually. I had noted UPS ran them on all their delivery vans and figured it the UPS bean-counters though they were a good buy, so should I.

    Kwikee Entry Steps

Welcome to the FMCA discussion forums! Have your steps ever been hit or bent? Those may cause high current draw. I agree with Rich, Kwikee recommends monthly lubrication.
  6. Thank you for the reminder Richard. An organization of buglers have arranged for as many as possible to sound taps at 3PM Veterans day all across our great nation in respect for all who gave all.
  7. I think I remember reading on Roger's website, tires have a small circular ridge near the bead, this is to help the installer mount the tire correctly/centered on the rim to reduce out-of-balance and what some perceive to be an out-of-round tire.
  8. It has detailed residency requirements not found in other links, and documents required to obtain a drivers license. Look at Texas listing for comparison. Sorry it's useless.
  9. Wayne how did you come to discover that pearl of wisdom?
  10. After 1 failed, and a current successful marriage, I have reached a conclusion. A man who thinks he's the boss in the marriage may be delusional.
  11. If the RV is still covered by the factory warranty, usually only a trained technician is authorized to perform annual service the units.
  12. FWIW, I had the same problem when we bought this MH in 2013. I bought a large can of refrigerant that has the gauge showing low/OK/high. I added refrigerant until the gauge was in the middle of the green/OK. Ever since the dash air has measured about 40-45°F, regardless of outside temperature. I can't ever recall reading about someone ruining their auto air conditioner with the self-use containers. Edit: This utube video tutorial was informative to me.
  13. I suspect a broken wire within the ignition wiring somewhere. It makes contact until moved/jarred.
  14. Driver license requirements for the U.S.A. and Canada, as listed by AAA : https://drivinglaws.aaa.com/?s=driver++license+requirements do not include MH requirements.
  15. Carl and Linda, I wish you health and happiness!
  16. What ross described in how we drive to Ft. Myers Fl.. I65S to Montgomery AL, to US 231S to I10E, to I75S. From Louisville KY to Ft. Myers Fl it is only 60 mlles further than driving I 75 from KY or TN to the Gulf Coast of FL. US 231 is 4-lane highway with 3-4 small towns and Dothan AL. Mountain driving is avoided in winter is the reason I chose this route, plus avoiding Atlanta. Free overnight parking at Camping World of Dothan w/15A elect. if you arrive before closing time; and a PFJ at NE corner of the bypass and US231S. Otherwise there is an RV park ~3 miles S of Dothan on W side of US231.
  17. I have two links I think everyone will find very interesting. The first link is Medal of Honor Recipients,  before you open the link, I have a question. Can you name the recipients from your state? I appreciate the dedication and selflessness shown by all who served and are serving this great nation! Thank you! The second link is quite lengthy, it might take 10 minutes to read the entire quote by LTC David Grossman from his book. On sheep, wolves, and sheepdogs. On Sheep, Wolves, and Sheepdogs - Dave Grossman .
  18. Herman my first car was a 1948 Chevy 2 dr sedan, turtle-back. I have Dad's 1932 Chevrolet Confederate BA 2 dr sedan now. Thanks for the trivia about the DFW area. That map shows only major highways, I suppose because it was free with a new Pontiac.
  19. I hope everyone is safe and well this Armed Forces Day!
  20. For information purposes; several years ago I stopped at a rest area for lunch. When I started the engine the transmission lights blinked, when I pushed the Drive button the engine stopped. That happened 3X in a row, then -nothing worked, no dash lights, no transmission button lights, ignition key dead. I searched for blown fuses, battery cable loose; nope nothing. I called Good Sam ERS, they sent a truck repair mobile unit to me in about 2 hours.(I was that far from Nashville) He asked me to walk him through the problem and what i had inspected, which I did. He began searching, 45 minutes later he discovered a terminal on the firewall in front of the driver. The 3, 12V cables were all live, but when he shook each one he found one very loose, the nut was about to fall off the terminal bolt. He tightened the nut and had me try to start the engine. That terminal block powered the entire cockpit electronics. As soon as I turned on the key I knew he solved the problem, all lights that should illuminate did, the engine started, and when I pressed the D button the transmission went into drive and engine stayed running. I tipped the man $50 for the 1½ hrs. he was on-site. Total bill from truck repair shop was $3xx.00. (He appreciated the cold beer I offered him when we had the problem fixed-it was a hot day) I apologize for the rambling, but useless information is something one can eliminate.
  21. Roger, that's what I did for 2 years until I actually needed new tires. I settled on Sailun truck tires, however they don''t make 19.5" tires, only 22.5 and 24.5" Three years ago my total bill was $1,280 for 6 LR H, S637, 22.5" tires. They are made in Vietnam now..
  22. It's a long shot, but here is a state by state listing of RV salvage yards.
  23. Check out body shop dent pullers. I used one to experiment with sold by TechnoRV using suction to hold an external WiFi antenna.https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07RGGMYQC?tag=duckduckgo-ffnt-20&linkCode=osi&th=1&psc=1
