I have used about 14x16 thick wood blocks under mine there without any problem, but be sure to use blocks or pads. If you have satellite TV, the lower sites all receive well. Four of the sites on the upper level reception is blocked by trees If you use over the air, aim antenna about 15 degrees left of the gate. You can use that route. When you leave do use the reverse of the one I gave you to get back to I275. Let me know after both which was best. Suggest that you turn south on I275 to hwy 32 at exit 63. Hwy 32 is probably the best route to Roundbottom Rd, but be sure to follow speed limits. There is a steep down hill that is easy to go over the speed limit. The right turn onto Roundbottom road is a sharp turn. A 45 ft motor home with a towed auto can make the turn. Just take the turn slowly. Cross over a railroad track and I think the second right turn is the entrance to the grounds. Hopefully, you have gone online to FMCA.com to reserve. All sites have 50amp, but the upper level 15 sites have full hook up on concrete. The lower level is on asphalt, so don’t use your jacks. Display your FMCA ‘goose egg’ on the front to make it easier for the staff to check. All sites are back in.

Really, I should have suggested that you purchase fuel before or after your stay at FMCA out on an interstate although those locations are usually a little higher price. Which route will you be taking in and out of the campground?

If I remember correctly, there is a station on the south side of Hwy 32 near Roundbottom Rd where the FMCA campground is located. Unfortunately, I have never bought any fuel anywhere nearby. I live about 175 miles away, and I fill up before leaving and after returning home. But just about 2 blocks past Roundbottom road is a United Dairy station to get gas for your towed auto. Also, they sell the Homemade Brand of ice cream which I think is the best we have found all across the country. I particularly like the Strawberry Strawberry or Peachy Peach. At home I only vanilla or Butter Pecan are available, but they very good, also.

Except on mine, you could not get any container above the tank. I had to use a bulb filler similar to a turkey baster with a small plastic tube on the end, so I could bend it into the fill opening.

If you don’t find the tank under the step as previously suggested, try this location. I believe that the Thunder used a Magnum chassis. While my 1999 Magnum chassis was not a Thunder, my tank for the levelers was on the passenger side between the engine and the last storage bin. I will say the fill port was on top of the tank which created great difficulty getting the fluid into the tank.

FMCA has been doing this for at least 21 years. It isn’t a new offering just new manufacturer. The problem is that too many manufacturers don’t see it as a plus to their operations. Very few dealers do either.

There are books written on this issue. They state ratings with various measures such as: Taxes, health, climate, etc. We bought one several years ago, but I am sure it is out of date now.

I don’t know the exact amount, but I think of uncommitted funds it is less than 1 year of operating expense. The committed funds are for prepaid dues, outstanding loan, and vouchers for Tucson canceled convention.

Please keep in mind that dues are not recognized as income until the month of your renewal. Prepaid dues are held in the investment account until the month and year they are due. IE: If you renew May 2021 dues for another year, the prepaid dues for 2022 will not be recognized until the anniversary, May 2021. When I received this offer a few months ago, I added a year. I figured that my small investment of $50 would help earnings in FMCAs investments.

Yes, Dawn will work, but if you check Dawn will corrode aluminum. I use to use Dawn and Simple Green mixture, but once it was suggested to me not use Dawn or Simple Green because they are corrosive, I now only use the 1/13 ratio of Simple Green Extreme. It is amazing the home remedies that are used without accurate analysis.

The 1/13 ratio is the ratio Simple Green Extreme states to use for aluminum. Don’t let it dry. Search for a lengthy post that I made detailing the process for a rear CAC/radiator cleaning. Side mounted should be very similar.

I think the OP is asking if a current chapter member has to sponsor/invite a prospective new member before they can attend a chapter rally. If you look at the chapters listed in your area or area if interest there should be a contact person to ask specific questions about the chapter.

Do you have the complete electrical diagrams? If you do, I would think you can trace to find the grounds. Is your green light on before trying to level? If so HWH will probably you have an electrical problem. But you already know that. Where are you located? Maybe someone here on the forum knows of a good HWH installer in your area. If you are anywhere near Elkhart, Indiana, try STUART’s. They are located on Cr 6 at the northwest corner of the Elkhart Airport.

We had that at Rocky Mountain National Park one year. We found that nothing kept them out.

FMCA in order to maintain their not for profit status is listed as providing education. That is the reason funds are in the budget for education.

It isn’t National, it all needs to start with restructuring the Governance which was tried a few years ago. But the Governing Board rejected the restructure. We now have an Executive Board that is controlled by the Area VPs that vote to change budgets to support their travel and Area business. The auditing firm that reviews FMCA records does a large number of not for profit organizations, and FMCA is the only one that the money flows down to the Areas. I am not suggesting that money needs to come from the Areas to support National, but the Areas should support themselves. Twenty years ago the above worked, but the RV industry has changed and so does our Governance and financial methods need to change.
