Three years ago, we used our iPhones which are our internet connections. We did add temporary Canadian service from AT&T. Only trouble we had is that there are long stretches of dead areas where the isn't any coverage. Most towns, we had coverage. Whitehorse has something funny. We incurred a $0.50 minute surcharge there.

I have just about the same tools that Herman stated. The only addition I have is a compartment case that I got at a big box store. In it is light bulbs, fuses, electrical crimp connectors, screws, extra magnets for my windshield sunscreen, etc. Buy one much larger than you think you will need. As your experience grows so does the miscellaneous items you will think you will need for spares. I also carry a 3 gallon 150 # pancake air compressor and 50 feet of 1/4 very flexible air hose.

We had a 1999 Harney Coach Renegade with kitchen slide. About 2006, we had a leak in the drain line for the sink, but it was easy to get to and repair. The hose had rubbed on the floor for years. When I repaired, I added support to keep that from happening.

Probably. Our coach has a 200 amp fuse. It is mounted on the very back wall of the bin that holds most of our electrical devices. Replacement cost about $25.00.

FMCAssist is insurance and backed by Lloyds of London. Good Sam's is not insurance and therefore can be changed at the whim of the provider, Good Sam. I will continue to buy FMCAssist.

I believe that the power for the bed is on an inverter circuit. We don't know if you were plugged into shore power or not. If not, is the inverter on? If on, are you getting inverted power to other outlets? I would check to see if the inverter circuit breakers need to be reset. Two on the inverter, and in the main shore power panel. If you were plugged into shore power, are the power shut off switches on? Mine are in the overhead dash panel above the passenger. Some have the switches located near the entry door where they can easily be switched off without intending to do so.

We had a 1999 Harney Coach Renegade and never had problems with the brakes. We towed a small auto with a Brake Buddy auxiliary braking system. We had this braking system not so much because of the added weight of the auto, but to brake the auto in case of a break away. Many Harney Coach motor homes had problems with delamination. Carefully, check the sides for irregularities. We did have to replace all the bin doors. The doors have aluminum frames that are screwed together with steel screws. The two dissimilar metals caused galvanic corrosion. I had firm in Elkhart, Indiana make new doors (they are not in business anymore), and had the lower body of the coach painted. We drove the coach for 138,000+ miles with no other difficulties.

Be sure to spend a long time during the "walk through" before acceptance. Write down the details of items. IE: Filling fresh water holding tank, dumping, battery shut off switches, outlets on the inverter circuit, setup of TV, how to level coach, etc. Take your cell phone and be sure to have the dealers number and factory number for assistance.

When you say it didn't work, what did not work? Possibly you are being protected, and therefore, the power is not passing through. I have the same system and have used a 30 amp male to 50 amp female to connect our coach without any problems.

Woodworks supply houses (Rockler) sell a product called SLIPIT. SLIPIT comes in two forms, spray and paste that is about the consistency of vasoline. I like the paste. Just a couple pea size dabs in the top and bottom track and slide back and forth.

Usually there will be a First Timers Seminar. Suggest that you attend. There is so much going on, you will not be able to do all that you want to do. The first day that the indoor vendors are open is the most crowded, try the next day. Shop around, and go back to purchase from the vendor that has the best price, product and information. Go to the morning coffee hours and sit and talk to members that have been to rallies before. Motorhomes require maintenance and since I tend to be technical, I like the technical seminars. Have your coach weighed on all four corners while you are there. Best item in safety, coach handling and tire maintenance.

We bought a 2 year old with 3,000 miles and 113 hours on the generator. Over the past 6 years we have added 82,000 miles, I cannot tell that because of low usage anything caused any problems. I have had repairs, but all were electronic items. IE: Radio, Jack Control, Inverter Relay.

We had the same problem. Ours was the wire type shelves with a rod below. I added a wood board 1"x2" as long as the shelf to keep the shelf from bending by using fender washers and screws from below in to the wood. Not only does this strengthen the shelf, the 2" high wood keeps items on the shelf. Also added 4 additional brackets to support the rod. All of the additional parts were available at a big box store.

My Chevrolet Equinox also has the 20/22 gage wire. I soldered all connections and used shrink tubing to insulate and then wrapped all with plastic electrical tape to be sure. Diodes are the best way to avoid feedback and to not cut into the reflectors. Roadmaster has a power module maintain the voltage to the lights. Your wires from the towing vehicle connect to this module and a heavy 12 volt plus and ground. Probably, there are relays inside the module to turn on the lights.

If you have an outside shower (kitchen type sprayer) if the hot and cold valves are open, the pump will cycle. Usually this is very rapid cycling, but if one valve only leaks a little, the cycling will be less frequent.

We are in AZ, and I do not have my camera with me; therefore, no, I can not post a picture. But it looks just like 16 inch square marble/ceramic tiles with 3/16 inch gray sand grout. The rows of tiles run across the coach and each row is offset from the previous by half a tile. Doing so eliminates the grout lines having to be perfect for the whole length of the coach. I do want to say this tile is just as hard to lay as ceramic tile, but the results look very good.

I would encourage you to have supplemental braking. One in 5 that have ever towed has had a breakaway if for no other reason. The additional braking will help you on long downhill grades and emergency stopping. While there are many good braking systems, the best that we have used and now have is the Air Force One. I am sure that others will chime in about their braking systems.

Each year I have saved enough to pay for my smart phone by using GasBuddy to find the lowest fuel prices near me. The GPS and routing functions better than the one in my auto. Weather forecasts for the cities I will be traveling through is great. I don't have to use by PC to check emails. The calendar function really helps to keep my appointments and to know my spouses calendar. My smart phone is my only internet connection which allows me to use it all across the country. I could go on and on, but I think you get the idea.
