  1. Been thru several times. Much easier than trying to find a way around.
  2. Alliance coach in Wildwood, FL has a "campground" with water and electric (50 amp) hookup. They come and get your coach in the AM and drive it into the shop. You stay in the lounge during the day (which is comfortable and pets are welcome). Their shop is fairly open and you can walk about and could have lunch in your coach if you want. I was in and out of my coach almost at will as long as you keep out of the way. They return your coach to your site in the afternoon. They have full service, engine, body, interior, woodworking. The service has been good but you can't rush them, many people consider them slow and you need to keep tabs with your service manager.
  3. My coach breaker box clearly marks the inverter/non inverter circuits, in fact it is divided into two boxes. Brett is right, block heater is almost certainly non inverter. Another in mine was the washer/dryer (now removed). I use this receptacle for the vacuum now.
  4. The replies have said it all. If you have GFI on the 20 amp breaker, forget it. I have one I'll sell cheap. I have found two places I could use it in about seven years. Those two places have upgraded to GFI on the 20's so it wouldn't work there now.
  5. I was warned one time, not to use small stations. If they don't sell enough volume there is some chance of condensation in their tanks and a chance to end up with water in your fuel tank. Probably not a big problem but something to consider.
  6. I agree with rveronthemove. Hostility toward nonpicture posters was uncalled for. The only reason I post a picture was just to see if I could. I did and that is enough. I read the forums for info not to boast.
  7. There is a small but nice Rte66 museum at Elk City, OK. There is a privately owned campground nearby.
  8. LED's work at a fixed voltage range. If your dimmer voltage output goes below that they will flicker and/or go out.
  9. In my opinion, it would be a mistake to limit your choice to either. There are so many parks that are equal or better. Our preference is to stay in state parks. We only use a park like a KOA or Good Sam for one night stays. While there are not the amenities offered by the commercial parks, neither do the commercial parks offer the chance to access miles and miles of hiking trails or a camp site where your nearest neighbor may be hundreds of feet away. It all comes down to trying many different parks and decide for yourself.
  10. I guess the consensus is a TV is a TV. Pick your favorite.
  11. The road service such as CoachNet does not have tires but they do a search for you to find someone who does and dispatch someone to help.
  12. If you're in the middle of nowhere a service like CoachNet (or equal) can send someone to you. It has happened to me twice.
  13. I have been satisfied with CoachNet. A blowout, a flat tire in a state park, and a failed pressure regulator on the coach air brake system, all handled to my satisfaction. Only three incidents in about 7 years but when you need help, you need help.
  14. I used heavy duty double back tape. It's been there several years.
  15. There used to be a place near Princeton, MN that sold teflon sheets sized to fit under dual and single tires. They also sold sheets sized to be creeper size so you could scoot under a coach fairly easily flat on the ground. They were about 1/8 inch thick and stored flat. I still carry my creepers as they can be used on dirt, grass, mud, etc. They used to advertise in FMCA but apparently are not in business. I have had mine for years. They weren't cheap but will last forever and I wouldn't trade mine for anything. As per my previous post my coach tires are always on these when in storage.
  16. The drive train on the newer Civic is so close to identical with the CRV that most likely it could be towed 4 down. The problem is that Honda says they will not honor the warranty if the Civic is towed in more than emergency situations. Chances are you would never have a problem but do you want to battle Honda if something did go wrong? Honda has a CYA clause in their manuals about towing models other than the CRV and Fit.
  17. When my coach is stored on concrete, the tires are on teflon sheets purchased for that purpose.
  18. When my Norcold was removed, the window beside the driver was removed to get it out. Just barely "squeaked" thru the opening.
  19. Our Norcold died a stinky death (ammonia). There were 5 1200's in the refer graveyard at the repair facility and that was relatively short term scrap storage. We too went to the Samsung residential. Took 8 guys to remove the Norcold, the 4 inside almost died from ammonia fumes. Took 2 guys to handle the Samsung. We shall see how the Samsung performs. So far, so good.
  20. I have TST. There was a problem with sensor failure at first but they replaced the old unreliable ones at the Madison convention. Yes, I used the old reliable pressure gauge for years but it would not have told me about a puncture and slow leak on the toad. I'll keep my monitor along with daily visual inspection before every day's drive.
  21. We have both plus a guard in front of the toad on the towbar. No rock chips since 2003.
  22. My will says "Being of sound mind, I spent it all." Depreciation happens, get over it.
