Rob, As Carl said call HWH. I love the company and they do great work. If I have Leveling or Slide issues I will call them and make an appointment to go to the Factory. I can guarantee the job will be done right and at a much lower cost. They have hookups to stay overnight. However when they close and lock the gate you are there till morning. And on top of the great service you will have time to go North 6 miles to Tipton to the Tipton Family Restaurant for breakfast and then visit the ACE Hardware. 563-724-3396 or email Ashley Burkle aburkle@hwhcorp.com Herman

Benny, My first thought when I saw you Topic Title "Homer Alaska RV Parks", was why in the H would you be looking this time of the year then I read further. JUNE, It may be a bad time for your friend to be looking at the RV Parks now. Most are probably closed and under snow. We have never been there but it is on our bucket list. Wildbill may know where to park there. Good Luck and have a great adventure when you go. Herman

David, The 6 volt Batteries you have now are golf cart deep cycle batteries. If you are looking to replace them with 12 volt deep cycle batteries you will find that they are much larger batteries. I have seen newer coaches and newer Golf carts using 12 volt deep cycle batteries. Here an other case where size does mater. You might check with someone like Interstate Batteries and see what they have in size and Amp Hours and Cold Cranking Amps. You may have more Amp Hours with 4 6 volt than with 2 12 volt. In either case be sure you are discussing Deep Cycle Batteries and not Start Batteries when talking to a dealer. Herman

Each time we return from a trip, I check the Water level on all 4 of my 6 volt deep cycle batteries and fill as necessary. Then I do the same just before we leave on our next excursion. To top off my batteries I have a pump up sprayer filled with Distilled Water. I cut the spray nozzle off and just use it to top off each cell. Herman

Jim try unplugging it to see if the alarm quits. This would rule out the module. Better have the DW listen since you appear to be among the rest of us with selective hearing. Herman

Would agree but Leaveittobeaver said that the from tires were 255s and the rear were 275s. He also said that the data plate called for 255/75R/22.5 all around. Could understand if the 275s were on the front for better weight capacity, but not the other way around. 275s on the rear would make the speedo off if it was set for 255s. Herman

Jim, I think you might find the sensor in the overflow reservoir. Herman

Agree, had my chassis batteries discharging in two days. Had my trickle charger on when parked. I would check it one time and the light would be blinking sayings it wasn't charging. Unplug and plugged it in and it would begin to charge. Got both Fully charged, disconnected both and load tested both. One in the green the other in the red. Replaced both and now the Trickle Charger stays in the Green (fully charged and maintaining). I have told this before, but will tell it again. I have a small Trickle Charger that stay connected to my Chassis Batteries. It is plugged into the Block Heater outlet in my engine compartment. When driving down the road the plug is dead. When on the Gen. or shore power the plug is how. This help maintain the chassis batteries to off set those troublesome trolls that always seem to draw in the batteries. Works well for me. Herman

Not disputing the ride height difference but I am having a hard time seeing how a 1 inch difference over an 8 foot span could shift 2,000 pounds from one side to the other. One of the first things I would do would be to unload the coach and have the coach re weighted. If there is still a 2,000 lb difference then it has to be how the coach was laid out. What items are on each side that may effect the weight. i am trying to visualize what could make that much of a difference. Herman

Not being condescending to anyone but remember we are driving a rolling earthquake down some of the roughest roads known to man . With all of the bouncing and cross winds it is a wonder we are able to talk let alone determine a squeak, rumble or pull when going down the road. Now get ready for everyone wishing you a Happy New Year. So Let me Start, Happy New Year!! Herman

As a young child around 6 or 7, my Grandmother was making Fruit Cakes. I ate sooo much of the candied fruit that I was sick for three days. And to this day I can't stand the sight of Fruit Cake. Even the ones my mother made and put in the attic for several weeks wrapped in a towel soaked in Rum. Hope everyone is full and relaxing. Herman

TT, Christmas of 201, was that BC or AD? What type of chariot were you driving and was it 1,2 or 4 HP? Herman
-
TT, That could have been during the time of the building of the canal. There were a great number of military personal there during the building. You might investigate the history of the Canal's construction. Herman

Do You Have A Motorcycle With You While RV'ing?
hermanmullins replied to redandsilver's topic in General Discussion
Karl, Have seen a number of folks with MC with them. As you said some have Pick Ups some have trailers and have even seen some with just a Motorcycle lift without a tow vehicle. However you may have to use a small trailer since you have two bikes. Herman -
I am a firm believer that there was only one Fruit Cake ever made and has passed around world from folks to folks since they put King Tut in his tomb. It came to the Americas as ballast on the Mayflower. Herman

Veterans Day 2013: Businesses Offering Discounts To Veterans
hermanmullins replied to jimpat4649's topic in Veterans Corner
Be thankful that some business' offer extras to Vet.s and Active Duty Service personal. I never get upset if a business doesn't offer some discount or other consideration to Vets. I will remember those that do and visit when possible. But hay remember your server. When Apple Bees, for example, has their free menu on special days remember that the server still provides you the service and deserves the same gratuity you would for the same meal any other time. I always tip according to what the regular price of the meal is and not on the discounted price. Again as always IMHO. Herman -
Bill, I have the MiFi and really like it. Your quote "The draw back to FMCA plan is the HARD Throttle at 25 GB" , is an understatement. I went over 25 GB one time and the throttle back made Dial Up look like 4G High speed. I just moved to the Hot Spot on my ATT plan and it all worked out. I have learned to make adjustments and dropped the usage quite a bit. Herman

Thanks, learned more each day and hope to continue learning. Herman
