stu, Welcome to the Forum. Are you a member of FMCA, if not in the famous words of Larry the Cable Guy "Geter dun". I have never had the problem with a battery that will run down after towing. However if I had I would install a Charge line in a heart beat. That can be done with either using your 7 pin connector or adding a seperate line. If running a separate line be sure to put a inline fuse on both ends of the line. A two wire line from a plug on the coach to a plug on the toad connected to the Battery. However if you are not comfortable with wiring please ask a professional to install it for you. Good luck and Happy travels, Herman

rp, Sounds to me like you have either hydraulic jacks and or slide and have a hose leaking. If you could tell us what make, model and year coach you have it will help. Herman

brocki, Picking a receiver was not hard. We have Dish at home. In the house we have 2 Dish 722 HD DVRs. So I just contacted Dish and asked for a third receiver. During my conversation the on line tech said that from our talk he knew that I could install and operate the receiver. I wired the coach just as my house is wired. Works great. We can now watch different shows at the same time, record programs when we are out and pause when we get calls or nature calls Herman

JV, For me the system of choice would be the M & G Engineering unit. Air brake unit with only one moving part. nothing to do when hooking up to tow other then the bar, chains and lights is to plug in the air line. m-gengineering.com or 903-675-2812 and ask for Monty. Herman

JV, What make, model and year is the vehicle? Same with your coach. With this information we can better recommend a braking system. Several folks may have the same toad and let you know what they have. Good luck Herman

brocki, I did install my satellite dish. What I installed was the Winegard SK 1000 Traveler. It is the unit made for Dish Network. I removed my old dome and trashed it. Winegrad requested that I destroy it and send them pictures of it. This was due to the fact that I received the discount. My old domes coax and power cord were used to pull the new coax and power cord through. The SK 1000 had very easy instructions to follow. The base is even marked with "Front" so you know which direction to mount the unit. I placed the dish in the middle of where the old dome was mounted. The previous owner had removed the original dome with the Winegard that I removed, so there were many holes to cover. To cover the many holes I oped for fiberglass. I filled all the holes with fiber glass, no cloth, and then covered the patches with sealant. There are two coaxes and one power cord from the dish. I ran all three into the upper cabinet. There are two coax cables in case you want to have two receivers however I installed a 722 Dish DVR receiver. I wired it the same way it is wired in your house. I only used one of the coax cables for the DVR and plan on using the second one for the over the air antenna when I change out my old one for one of the newer units. The only problem I had was getting this old 79 year old body up and down the ladder and working on my hands and knees. Easy job and it works great. Agree on the Dish internet service. We live in the country and the only phone service available is Verison, and they don't have Fiber Optic. and we didn't op to put in phone lines when we built our home. We have a nice data plan with AT&T and use our phones for internet connections. Herman

grichardson, Welcome to the Forum. The one draw back of the M & G Engineering Brake unit is space. Your Master Cylinder has to have space to move out away from the Power Brake Booster. This is for the air cylinder, by the way it only has one moving part, the ram, to be mounted. Great unit made by great people and located in beautiful East Texas. Herman

Ray, Spent some time in the Boating Industry. Dealers sell all year round with good results, but I found that to best time to try to sell a boat and in your case a motor home was around the time of the local RV and or Boat shows. I have seen both at shows parked in the lots with For Sale signs where they have had great results. Hope Hana is doing better. You both in our prayers. Herman

I found a bag on the road one day, after I retrieved it I opened it up and found a brand new Power Probe with all the accessories. I traveled in my job for over 40 years and have found many interesting things laying on the road. A plastic lawn chair, a 3 foot long 2 1/2 open box end wrench (was in oil patch country),an 8 foot fiberglass step ladder just to mention a few. I keep the Power Probe in the coach tool box at all times. The DW claims that I carry too many tools in the coach , I sometimes say I don't carry enough . Herman

Wayne, You are correct, back to the original post. I went and reread the OP and have a question. Mikey said that there was an HDMI cable ran from the front over head bin to mid-ship. I don't think a CD player is connected to the TV with a HDMI cable but with an Audio Video Cable, (Red, White and Yellow). Am I incorrect. I think what Mikey is calling an HDMI cable is in fact a Coax cable. The Coax would be there to connect two TVs to one source of input. Herman

Once had a Pontiac Feiro. There was a recall on the motor mounts. When I took it in for the recall the service writer asked if I wanted to change the spark plugs. I asked why and he explained that to change to mounts they had to pull the engine and that when they had to change the plugs they had to pull the engine to be able to replace the 3 plugs on the back side of the engine. Even back then to R & R the engine it cost $350.00. I oped to change the plugs which only cost me the price of the plugs. I have always said that before any person is allowed to design an automobile they must have had a minimum of 5 years as a mechanic. That would change the autos as we know them today. Herman

Brocki, As stated before, Winegard does in fact make you a great deal. I have had Dish for better the 20 years and have never had a problem. For several year I also carried my receiver from the house to the coach. I now have the Winegard SK 1000, one push on the button and up it goes and one push and down it goes. I also have a Dish 722 receiver that stays in the coach. It powers both the front and rear TVs on different channels if wanted and will pause and record. When we go on short trips we will set our favorite show to be recorded at home. But for extended trips we just call Dish and they will move us to the local stations where we are located. I am sure some have their horror stories with Dish but for myself, they have always come through. The SK 1000 was a very easy installation. It took me about a day, if I were 70 again it may have only taken a couple of hours. Herman

Some where in my very ole gray matter I seem to remember that if a shop is servicing a diesel engine in an over the road vehicle and they spot red dye residue, they are obligated to report it. To whom I don't know. Herman
