Joe, When you do pull your starter open up the solenoid. Check and clean all contact points. Easily done with the starter out and my prevent starting problems down the road. If you have never pulled your starter on a Cummins, be prepared it is HEAVY :-O, about 60 pounds. I did mine and this 79 year old found out he can still press that much laying on his back. Gary, My heart goes out to your wife. I do not have COPD but have several friend that do and the have both Oxygen Bottles and concentrators. I do carry an O2 bottle, regulator and mask when we go to the mountains. The altitude does get to me until I get acclimated. Not too often, but every now and then I will take a few deep breathes of O2 and it helps. How does she do in dry areas? If better then come on down to Texas. Here she can get it all both High and Low altitudes, Humid and dry air, Deserts and forest, we got it all so come on down "You'll hear me now". Herman

Gary, If you could list the Make, Model, year and chassis we can better help. If you know the maker of your leveler/air suspension you might go on their web site and see if they have a manual you can down load. Each time I have had a problem with something on our coach I will go to he Mfg. site and download their manual. Of course I have a large library now. Good luck. Herman

Gayle, Good advise from kay. But before pulling the wheel, which most folks have no way to do so at home, you need to inspect the back side of the tag. Is there evidence of oil being slung out the back of the hub. And if so then there is a good chance of a bad seal and needs replacing as kay suggest. However if there is none then your oil bath hub may need to be removed and inspected for a crack, and/or a bad gasket ( there is and inner and outer gasket) This you can do at home. opsmdev, Sorry that you had to wait in line for some time. As the ole saying goes "The best laid plans of mice and men." Signage is always an area that is controlled by the local government. In some locations we can put out more signs then you have time to read and then again they will not allow temporary signage on the streets or highways. That is the reason driving directions are included in your packet (and yes I understand the problems when your packet is in will call). But after folks are parked they all seem to have a good time and that is what it is all about. Now let me give you a little secret: "Volunteer". As a volunteer you have the opportunity to arrive early, get a good parking space, a handsome Hat, a volunteer meal and best of all you get to meet lots of really nice people (and a few ole grouches that you get the chance to make smile). huling3, Our Norcold also died this year and we did replace it with a residential unit, a Samsung RF-18. The weight is close to the same as the 1200 with twice the space. It has run on the inverter ever since. Good luck with your new unit, and glad you feel secure with the extinguisher. Herman

There are three to four zones. The basement is on a adjustable thermostat. Most are set around 34 degrees. It keeps the basement plumbing from freezing. My unit has a front zone and two rear zones. The rear two are on the thermostat as zone 1 and 2. Each must be set separately. To test run the zones, I turn the A/H on, turn the thermostat on and adjust the temperature to as high as it will go. I will do this on just one zone to exercise the system. I will do this at least once a month. You may do this one zone at a time to check each for a leak. Herman

Talked to a friend of mine that owns a large tire dealership. When I made mention that my take offs would still be good for the rock haulers trailers, he said that the 295/80R-22.5s were not a highly sought after size. Just on Motor Homes. That might be why so many Tire Manufacturers only build them once a year. Herman

I have found a way to stop those snap latches from breaking the hook end. The slot for the screw is too small for the catch and slot expands and will snap after awhile. I have removed each screw and put a small flat washer on the screw. Haven't had one break since. Just a tidbit I thought folks might like. Herman

Speck, How is the interior? Many low mileage older coaches were used only on two trips a year. One south for the winter and back north in the spring. Be sure and check the Mfg. Dates on the tires. They may also be 14 years old. Herman

Baileysmom, Sound to me like a faulty radiator cap. You can go to either Auto Zone or O'Rilieys and they will loan you a tester (refundable deposit required) and you can test both the cap and the Radiator. Herman
