  1. Welcome the Forum. If you have had your slide both out and in and you have no marks on the laminate, you should be ok. As you go down the road have someone look at the bottom of the slide and look for too much bounce. If you see some you might want to adjust a little, but if there isn't too much bounce you should again be OK.
  2. Born and raised in TEXAS. Had BBQ lots of places. Hard to say which was the best because they all had something better the the others. The one place that I have never been to is The Salt Lick near Austin, TX. Heard about it for more year then I will mention. Some one tell me if they have been there and how was it.
  3. You might check with your insurance carrier. I have beem told that some Companys will not pay if you do not have a braking system. Also as said, there have been cases where a person ran a stop light injured people and totaled cars and they didn't have to pay a cent because the injured parties inspection sticker was out expired. Because they would not have been on the road to be hit if they had followed the law and not driven on an expired inspection. Picky but true.
  4. Ward I started a post sometime back on just that subject. Go to Forum-General Discussion-A funny thing happend on the way to the Forum. See if you can top mine, the first post.
  5. Oh come on, wer'e all friends. Let us hear it.
  6. Try Brite White Tire Cleaner. Be careful with over spray. Let stand for 4 or 5 min. then wash with soapy water and a stiff brush, then rinse with clean water. If it doesn't clean complety the first time dry and repeat. This stuff will clean the really dirty tires so it should work on your gasket. You can get it at WalMart or Auto Zone. For a stiff brush may I suggest that you don't use your wifes toothbrush.
  7. Koot, Welcome to the Forum. Take a look and see if you have kill switch in your battery compartment. It should be a Red Round selector switch. When washing out your Bat. compt. you may have gotten water in the switch or you may have just switched it off while cleaning. I know you have looked but could someone have tripped the Battery Switch in the front entrance of your coach? Are you a member of any road side assiatance groups? If so they may have a tech to talk to. Good Luck.
  8. Bill, that was what I was talking about. I didn' know if it was a plan or just a feature. Thanks
  9. Welcome to the Forum. Call Dish and ask if they have a plan where you can get the local, ABC, NBC, CBS and Fox.I heard they have such a plan. You can pick either East Coast or West Coast. Check it out and let the Forum know.
  10. Go to FMCA home page, under quick link click on dingy towing. You can find a list for current models. There are articles for 2000 to 2011. Check it out for something to tow.
  11. Bobbyks, Welcome to the forum. In southern Louisiana you need to look up the Cruzin Cajens RV Club. Good strong club that has a lot of fun. You didn't say how you are charging you batteries, Inverter or trickle charger. How old are your batteries? If your batteries are in good shape then it would seem that your charging system is just charging and not monitoring your Batteries. You may get a response from Brett, who has a lot of experience in these matters. When you find your answer be sure to post the solution so others may benefit. Again, welcome to FMCA and the Forum.
  12. Brad, Welcome to the forum. Seeing that you are from Longview I thought I would take this oppertunity to invite you'll to join The Lone Star Chapter of FMCA at one of our up coming Rallies. Due to the opressive heat in Texas we don't have any rallies in the summer. Our next rally is in Durant, OK at the KOA at the Choctaw Casino. We would love to have you come.

  13. Tom, Lone Star has a rally scheduled for May 24-25-26 & 27th, 2012 in rockport at Lagon RV Resort. One of our smaller rallies but lots of fun. Open invite.

  14. Tom, Since we both have Monacos I would assume I have the same wiring. Again nice post.
  15. Your pictures are great. Were you able to plug into the same outlet that the norcold was using? Tom I don't know if you know that Lowe's give a 10% discount to Veterans. We will be doing just this early next year. Thanks for the pictures.
  16. See how smart people that own Monacos are.
  17. Frank, how does the unit hold up when moving? Will it work OK on your inverter? Do you just raise the ice maker level when traveling? Would love to hear how well it works. We keep our coach in our barn pluged in when we are not on the road. We always shut down the Norcold 1200 when in the barn. Would be nice to have a household unit that could be left on.
  18. With our present coach, we went through Essex Credit. They are a broker that will find you as good a rate as you can find. The dealer we bought our coach from was very leery of Essex when they came back with 2% lower rate then they had quoted. That was until they received the loan paper work and it was being financed through Wacovia, now Wells Fargo. John and his staff are very helpful. Give them a shot. Good Luck,
  19. Tom & Karen, The next time you leave Onaway and you are onurway to Texas check with FMCA for Lone Star Rallies. We would love to have a set of native Wisconsins join us.
  20. Welcome to the Forum. t5watson5, if you go to the Forum, Type A, Subject "Clear Coat Issue on Monaco" By JRAZZ, you will find several peoples commets on this topic. By the way are you a member of FMCA? If so congratulations. If not take a look at all the benifits you will have if you join.
  21. Penpails, Welcome to the Forum. One thing, if you have nothing with the key on you may have the 12v solenoid out. I think Brett mentioned this. I had it go out on my 92 Windsor. Got the part at Auto Zone. As Tom said, call Monaco tech dept. they will be more then happy to help. If you do purchase the coach be sure and register it with Monaco. They will keep you up on any recalls. You will really enjoy your Dynasty. If you haven't joined FMCA please do as soon as you purchase the coach. Good luck,
  22. Bill, you need to stay in better park.
  23. Roodriver, Hwy 80 come across GA. AL. MS.LA. and into Texas. it follow along I-20. When you get to Ft. Worth, TX it turns into Hwy 180. Around there I would go north and catch Hwy 380. into NM and you can go through Roswell and Ruidosa. Cool area. from there you can go through Alamogordo, NM (in the summer it can get really hot in this area) that goes accross the White Sands NASA Test Facility (ditto) into Las cruces. Then the interstate to Deming, NM and go north through Silver City, NM then on into Arizona and the Petrified Forest and the Painted Desert. North from there bring you to the Grand Canyon. I don't know much from there on. But Heck if I wasn't laid up with a bad shoulder I might have talked myself into going right now.
  24. Bill, I would think that since they have ferry boats that carry RV across a ship channel a barge would be OK. Maybe the Capt. need to rename his barge "Capt. Conrad's RV Ferry".
  25. Sheri, Welcome to FMCA and the Forum. Check out the areas you may be staying in for Flea Markets. Most of the time there will someone the makes Wooden signs. Get one with your name and where you are from (John & Jane Doe Someplace, Utah). Put it in your window or better on a stake or something and put it in front of your coach. Then spend more time enjoying the outdoors. If you see people that walk by say hi. Most of the time they are in the same boat you are in. Don't be shy, great them warmly. I have even met people that became customers. Lots of RV Parks have met and great social. Go have fun. Good Luck
