Bill, that is what I just said. Winegard new domes do receive all three satillites but only 1 at a time. The dish must cycle to each satellite. Maybe one day they will make a dome with 3 LNBs so people can put Dish Network 722 DVRs in their Coaches. I only put a standard Dish Network 311 receiver in MH and I can get all of my local channels by calling and giving them my Zip Code. I then have to call them when I return home to have them switch back to my home Zip Code.

Bill, the problem with the dome for Dish is there is only one LNB. It must cycle between Sat. 110, 119 and I beleive 129. I have the Winegard Road king and each time I move from any channel below 100 to any channel above I can hear my dish turn. Winegard does make a dish that has 3 LNBs but it isn't a dome. I may change out mine sometime in the future but for now, change channel hear the turn.

When did Winegard get a in-motion HD dish?

Atwood GE16EXT Water Heater Element Replacement
hermanmullins replied to mikey360's topic in Systems and Appliances
Mikey, I see by your travel map you travel midwest to west coast throught the middle. Try dropping down through Texas one time. Your will love it and the people down here. ? Have you looked for access from the inside of your coach? There might be an access panel under or behind a drawer or cabinet. I'm going to asks, are you sure you need a new element and not to just replace a fuse? Just a thought. -
Two thoughts. 1) On conversion coaches and larger coaches made for passengers service like MCI. Prevost, and others, they are able to run their A/Cs all at the same time, check out their wiring diagrams.to see how they are configured. 2) In the past I have seen coaches with 30 amp service that had two A/Cs that could be on at the same time but it would cycle between the units so they both were not on at the same time.

Convention Registration Help - IN 2012

Tom, Also welcome to FMCA and the Forum. See how great the Forum is, your question was answered in less then 18 hours from a member and a staff person. Keep looking at the Forum and you can learn agreat deal and meet some wonderful people. :) -
I did have a tripod dish. I connected it to my TV connection in my bay just as I would have to a parks cable. It worked just fine. However on that coach we only had one TV. I would just connect my TV to my receiver and the cable connection from the switch box to the receiver. I would assume that if you had two receivers the second receiver could be hooked up the same way. One satellite into one control box = two receivers.

Are the white streaks coming from rain or after washing? Many times they come from the water used to wash the coach. I have seen comments about using a filter, vinegar or both when rinsing after washing. I am going to use my extra filter with a charcoal cartridge and will post the results.

Welcome to the Forum, Another cause for your cruise control to not working is your Brake Light Switch. It may be stuck or out of adjustment just enough to disenguage the C/C but not enguage the stop lights.

RJ, If you have a Cummins Dealer close you can get your oil there. When you exrecise your generator be sure and put a load on it such as the A/C. and turn off the A/C for a moment before shuting down the Gen.

GFI Outlets/Battery Charging/Inverter-charger
hermanmullins replied to nanseecat's topic in Electrical
Have you checked your 120v power panel in your MH. If I understand it is unlike a home panel the MH will have two sides but they cannot be connected by a 220v curcuit breaker. Check and see if you have 110v on each leg. If the voltage is the same it should be OK. If not there may be another problem. We all hope you a able to solve this mystery. -

As colors go code wise, White = neutral, Green = ground, Black = 110v (hot), and Red = 110v (hot). The Black and Red should be on separate circuits (i.e. 240 as measured from Black to Red-- if it reads zero, the outlet is miswired). Bill I had another thought. Was your coach plugged into a 50 to 30 amp adapter at the service shop? If so they may have plugged the adapter into a 220v outlet and that would have sent 110v to your neutral. If that was the case then your GFIs did their job well. -

Bill were you checking the voltage at the plug? I know you know this but a second mind sometimes turns on a light bulb. If you checked the round pin to either of the flat pins across from each other you should get 110v. If you go flat to flat across from each other you will get 240v. Top flat = neutral, round pin at bottom = ground and the two flat pins across from each other = 110v each. Let us know how changing the GFIs works. I don't know much about them but are they any thing like a surge protector? I know that some surge protectors, once they have a power surge and protect your circuits it needs to be replaced. ?? :( -
Gary, Welcome to the Forum. Be sure that you haven't blocked all the air flow to cool the pump. If your pump has to run for any length of time it will get hot and burn out the pump without good air flow. Just a hint.

GFI Outlets/Battery Charging/Inverter-charger
hermanmullins replied to nanseecat's topic in Electrical
Bill was your coach plugged into 50 or 30 amp at the service shop? My reason for asking is that 240V has two 110V and a neutral. 30 amp 110V has one 110V a neutral and a ground. Where a 50 amp 110V does have two 110V wires one Neurtal and a ground. I know you know this but what I am trying to get at how could 240V get through to your system? Now trying to be a smart postieria, just wondering. Did the service shop use some kind of adapter? Hope your problem turns out to be minor and would like to hear what is found. -

Sorry Bill, I wasn't talking about your power cord, I was referring to the receptacle(you plug your power cord into) on your coach. After some time the connections corode and even loosen a bit. Just a thought. -
Check out MG Engineering, Athens, TX. Works with coaches air brakes. Check them out. I have towed a 03 Yukon and now a 08 Chevy 1500 extended cab. Never had one problem in over 25.000 miles.

Bill, You said that your plug was not fully connected, but was almost OK when reconnected. You also mentioned your coach was a 1988. If you can, check out your shore power plug. Sometimes the connections can get some corroded on them. Just a thought. Good luck. -

Don, Thanks you so much for the support you and your fellow fishermen are showing to our service men and women. Would you please post any videos you may have so all of us that are unable to visit the tournament may see the wonderful event. Yes you're correct there is going to be a lot of Bragging that day. Again thanks for your support. :) -
Gramps, Most RVs have a DVD/Cassette player. Which can be connected to the TV with the audio/video cable. This leaves your coax connector open. If you have Dish or Direct your receiver has a coax connecter for the Sat. and one for the Ant. and one for the TV. The only place I can see a problem is with the rear TV. That one I will have to think about.

reid9439, Welcome to the Forum. After I have looked at the switch box in our MH, I wonder if I really need it. I can split my incoming coax from my bay for cable and the coax from my satalite dish into a splitter and then one coax to the back of my Receiver and use either one. If I want cable I can leave the receiver off and turn on the receiver when I need the satalite. I can then connect my dvd player into my TV. Therefore why do I need a box to connect them to my TV? Yes I know I have two TVs but that can be done by the coaxes also.

Howdy howdydoody, Welcome to the Forum. I beleive you mean a 2000 Newmar Mountain Aire? There should be a panel that has most all of the 12 volt fuses and relays on it. On our Monaco it is on the drivers side just in front of the front wheel. Check all of your cabinets and bays for such a panel. There should be a list of fuse size and component it protects. Hope this helps.

Brett, I was able to zero the guage by using a nine volt battery. When I connected the guage with out power it stayed on zero. But when I turned on the key the guage pegs out. My next try is to remove the sending unit wire from the guage, zero out the guage again and turn on the power with out the sender connected. If the guage stays zeroed then I will assume the sending unit wire or sending unit itself is grounded. My next step will be to reconnect the wire at the guage then unplug the wire from the sending unit reset the guage and turn on the power. If the guage still pegs out I will know there is a dead short some where in the wire, however if the guage doesn't move then I can assume the new sending unit is bad. Do you agree?
