To all that have read and responded to this post, THANK YOU. I have always gone out of my way to follow the rule, "If you do something wrong, I will tell you and If you do something GOOD, I will tell the world." This time I told the managers what was wrong and now I am telling the world. YES there are some great RV parks all over the place. Some big and some small but they all do what is necessary to make your visit pleasant. A few that I know: Shallow Creek, Gladewater, Texas. They can make Good BBQ Canton Civic Center, Canton, Texas (for rallies) Coffee Creek RV Resort, Santos, Texas. Great family. Hill Country RV Resort, New Braunfels, Texas KOA Durant, Durant, OK. Charlie will bend over backwards for you. Ceder Oaks RV Park, Grove, Oklahoma. A little dusty some times but nice park and people.

We just had a rally at Admiralty RV resort. The park is very old. They had plenty of spaces but they were very narrow. The ladies at check-in were very nice. However, the manager was a total jerk. If you don't come into their registration area correctly they jump you and tell you that you must move your coach or they will not register you. One of our members drove the wrong direction in the park and was jumped on by the manager and then banned from the park for life. The manager's feelings are, if you don't like it lump it. Members of the Board of Directors for Lone Star Chapter decided that they are on our do-not-stay list. Our chapter paid the park close to $4,000 for the spaces. Now they will never get another penny from Lone Star. When asked who the owner of the park was, I was told "I'm the manager." I then said, "Who owned the park" and was told "the owner doesn't want to talk to you." If I was him I would not want guests talking to the owner, either. Enough said. Bad park.

We tow a 2003 GMC Yukon XL. It has the same weight as your Suburban. We have a 10,000 pound rated Blue Ox. I don't think I would tow that weight with your MH. Road trip fine, Safety First. Good Luck

If I understand your post the Rubber Gasket that holds the window in the coach leaks. The double U rubber gasket has become hard and will not seal the window from leaking water into the coach. Measure the window and while you are camping look at other coaches to see if they have the same size window. Then check with the mfg. of their coach to see if they can still provide the rubber seal. In the mean time have you tried Clear Silicone completely around the window on the out side? You might check with companies that refurbish coaches where they may have removed your size window and still have the gasket.

Sorry to hear of your health problems. I think the first part of your Forum handle is correct "Living". Keep on with your medical and your coach will wait for you. Good Luck and get back on the road soon.

Mike, Welcome to the Forum. Do you have a Smart Wheel (with your cruise control and wiper buttons on your steering wheel)? If so you will have a computer box located near your 12 volt fuse panel. The control box is a black box approx. 6" X 6" with several plugs coming from the bottom. There will be a white plug with 2 large white wires (approx #8) coming out of the control box. First check for signs of burnt wires. Check www.vipwheels.com If you are lucky you won't find any signs of burnt wires. Follow those two wires back to your fuse panel and check for blown fuse. Also check your brake lite switch. If your switch is bad or stuck your cruise control will think you have the brake on which disengages the CC. Hope this helps.

Steve, There are replacement/repair antennas out there. They have a spring base, that helps them from breaking. They are designed to fit over the broken end of your antenna and are secured with a set screw. You might check out auto parts houses like Pep Boys, O'Rileys, Car quest, Auto Zone and NAPA. However there is always the tried and true COAT HANGER. Good luck.

As said before, Welcome to the Forum. I have a Wineguard Road King. Yes I can hear it seeking the satellites. There is a switch that turns the satellite off and on. Does yours have such a switch? Check for a blown fuse.

If you have air brakes on your coach, check out http://www.m-gengineering.com/ This is one fine unit. New unit has a life time warranty. Their reconditioned unit, much lower in cost, 5 year warranty. They will exchange your unit when you change your toad.

Jay, you said that you bought an HD receiver for $99. Was that a DVR where you can have two tvs on it or just a Hi Def Receiver? Also where did you purchase it. Thanks

kcsails, Welcome to the Forum. Do you now have Direct TV now in your home? If so you should be able to request a new reciever that will have a new card. We have Dish Network and have two 722 HD DVR's in our home and one standard 311 receiver that we use on our farm and in our coach. Dish knows we do this and they are OK with it. So if you have Direct at home just request an additional receiver and after they send you the receiver put it in the coach. There are several thing that can go wrong with Direct. In the past you had to purchase the dish and receiver. Now, if I understand it, they rent you the equipment. The previous owner of your coach may have owned it and Direct has newer units. Come on Direct TV Customers out there see if you can help.

Mark & Amy, Let me be one of the first to welcome you to the Forum. To your question, yes we have taken the second home deduction each year for the last 12 years. However our taxes are done my a CPA. I am sure there are people out there that can answer your question. Is there a phone number on Turbo Tax for help? Do you have the 2010 version? Did you register it? If so then they should have a help line to call. In the mean time feel secure in knowing that there are only two things in life that are for certain, "Death & Taxes" Good luck and HAPPY RVing.

Sarge, Like yourself I have seen the kit listed. But each time I think that it is installed when new. You said that they make a kit for the V6. Check and see if the transmission is different. You said your trans. had 4X4 Auto, 4X4 High and 4X4 Low. This might be where your problem lies. It could be a completely different unit. Just point to ponder.

RJ, When I decided to replace my 7 year old tires, I thought they looked fine. When Thomsom Tire in McKinney dismounted them I took a good look between the treads. All 5 tires that I replaced had cracks all the way around each grove. I then inspected the three remaining 2 year old tires and found them to be OK. So don't just look at the side walls for cracking look into the groves between each tread. Good Luck.

Reid, Good question. Have you checked your oil dip stick for signs of water? Since the overflow tube runs down the radiator is there any signs of blowing water/anti freeze? Have your new cap pressure checked. Is it the correct psi? If you have a rear Radiator lift up the cover and check for water. How has the temp. been while driving? Did the engine start after you refilled the radiator? I know you have been through all of this but water missing and no sign of leaks is indeed strange. Good luck, let us know what you find, everyone benifits from all solutions.

Tom; This is my invitation for you and Louise to come on up to McKinney for a visit. You might need to set your thermostat at 90 and hope it will get to 60 within 4 to 5 hours. Right now it is 18 degrees here and our power has been off 2 times so far.

Brett is correct. Let me go a little further. Tires that go into service at the same time will wear at the same rate. However when one tire has been in service for 5,000 mile and you put on a new tire there will be a difference in dia. of the two tires. If you replace one of your front tires there is no problem since they turn independently of each other. However if you change just one rear tire out of four on a tandem axle you have several problems. One tire is now larger then the other three. It will have to carry more load and it will try and roll at a different rate then the other side. This can lead to problems with your differential. If I have to change a one of my tires on the rear, I bite the bullet and replace all four. At that point all four turn and wear at the same rate. Just my thoughts.

By the way Mike, Welcome to the forum. Jim, How is your water pressure with the city water turned Off and with the pump on? In our coach [Monaco Dynasty] the city water doesn't go through the pump. It bypasses the pump with the valve in the closed position. Does your coach have the water distribution panel that Tom mentioned? How is the pressure on the kitchen and shower on just hot or cold, both still low? If so I have to go along with Brett, there has to be some type of restriction. The restriction must be after the hot and cold water is mixed. Have you taken the arm off your kitchen faucet and cleaned it? If you take the shower head off how is the pressure? I am just throwing out suggestion. We all know that the greatest care is taken in building our coaches and that there could never be any trash left in any lines. So it must be something we do wrong. If you find the solution please post it so everyone that read the forum will know how to solve the problem should they have the same problem.

I replaced my house batteries two years ago with Interstates from Sam's. Never had a problem. The good thing about Interstate is if you have a problem You can go to Sam's or Interstate for help. If and when you change out your batteries be sure to clean your lugs well. And, put some spray on them to help protect from acid corrosion.
