  1. South Central Area is having our 46th Rally next month the Shreveport Louisiana. We are having a tour folks can sign up for. I think the ad Johnny Wessler gave us to put on our website (sra-fmca.com) was very good and I hope you'll enjoy it. (it's one of the better shots of me ) Herman
  2. Most of the time the Start Run capicter will blow out rather then just quitting. Here is one off my coach.
  3. My suggestion, if you are able to do it yourself, would be to get a drain pan and drain the oil. This way you can see how much oil is actually in the crankcase. It would only take the cost of the oil and then you would be able to know for sure if 1) your oil was at the proper level and the dipstick was wrong or 2) you were actually low on oil. If #1 then you can see about getting the proper dipstick or if #2 you will know you were low and can monitor the engine to see if it is using or leaking. One way or the other good luck. Herman
  4. I am set on "Unread Content". All I get are New Topics or new responses to a Topic. No notifications, ads or any other information. This works for me. Herman
  5. Have you checked your NO2 detector. It may have shut your gas off. Herman
  6. In my opinion they built a lot of tanks and then found out what you did, next to impossible to fill on the right side. So to keep from scrapping the tanks they just modified then by adding the filler neck in the correct position. Herman
  7. Blakley, sorry I was making a joke. If you have two dip sticks your tank may have two chambers for fluid. If that is the case you you need to be sure and check both. One could be low while the other is full. Herman
  8. FMCA has several commercial vendor that do great work. They all advertise in the Family Rving Magazine. Check them all out and see which is best for your area. And as Ray said the driver of the loader and his company is responsible for your loss. But it wouldn't hurt to have some idea of the replacement cost and a company to do the work. Herman
  9. If they read different your in trouble.😯 Herman
  10. Tim, this time of the year most roads have some sort of construction going on since they have good weather. I-40 is a good road through most of Oklahoma, Texas and New Mexico. 13. Glen, A simple solution would be to get the batteries fully charged then disconnect the cables. Herman
  14. Are you checking the fluid level with the jack up or down? If the jacks are down then your level will show low. If they are up then your low on fluid if it is as you describe. Good luck, Herman
  15. Jim, Welcome to the Forum. I am sure just putting your Transfer Case didn't have anything to do with the engine starting. Is your battery fully charged? To return the Transfer Case to drive - Set the Parking Brake, place the shift liver in neutral, press the brake pedal and turn the 4 X 4 knob to the left to "2". Doing all this your transfer case should be in 2 wheel drive. Herman
  16. Start with putting support under the coach then start with a spray bottle with water and a drop or two of dish soap and spray every inch of line and fittings to the leaking air bag. Lots of time it will be around connections. Good luck, Herman
  17. Carl, the one thing I found was the people did in fact speak English but it was in a profound Irish Brogue and really fast. Very hard to understand but nice people. I was stationed there off and on for three years in 1957-58-59. Herman
  18. Richard, What it looks like to me is who ever did the repair was using rosin core solder. The repair may hold but it doesn't look professional. The technician should have used Sil Foss. A lot of time Sil Foss is called Silver Solder. Sil Foss is a brazing alloy to be used when joining Copper to Copper without flux. However both parts should be cleaned. It come in several varieties 0%, 5%, 10% & 15% Silver. The different amounts of Silver depends on the gap or joint to be Brazed together. Herman
