    Tire

sideboomer, Welcome to the Forum. We are in Texas but Joe Leamont is from PA and will be awake soon and he should be able to help you. Good luck, Herman
  2. Does anyone remember when so many actors and actresses said "If that persnon wins, I'm leaving the country." But yet they are still here. H,mmm. Get my point? Herman
  3. Does it make removing bugs off the the front the coach any easier? Herman
  4. Turn all glasses upside down. Before traveling place a tee towel in against the glasses then close the cabinet door. For plates put a paper plate between each plate. In the refrigerator use small spring loaded curtain rods across each shelf. For can goods try putting boxes like cereal in front of the cans. Remember, you are Camping and paper plates are alright to eat off of with very little clean up. I would advise against glass plates and bowls. Happy camping and with as little clean up as possible. Herman
  5. Tim, My thought is a bad valve and bad check valve. Herman
  6. Wayne, Thank You and Earlene for your combined service. I see that you USMC Retired. Did Earlene retire also? We have a gracious lady that is a Past National President of FMCA Lt. Col. Connie Pool whose husband was also a Marine, Col. Corbett Pool. Thanks again and Semper Fi. Herman
  7. If you would like to makes another comparison give Farm Bureau of Michigan a call. 800-292-2680. Texas Farm Bureau has been good for us. Herman
  8. I have been told that I'm a bit different and I guess i am. When I used to winterize our coach all I did was drain the Black Tank, the Gray and the Fresh water tank. Then the water heater. I would then Blow out the lines with compressed air one outlet at a time till i have nothing but air coming out. My thinking was if none of the tanks have liquid in them and the lines are empty what is there to freeze? I am fortunate now since I have an insulated barn I keep the coach in and when it has been as low as 10 degrees it has never gotten below 45 degrees in the barn. Herman
  9. Sorry but if you didn't shop for another insurance company when Safeco went from $610 / year to triple that amount to $1910 you were very foolish. Sorry to be so blunt but you let Safeco take advantage of. Herman
  10. Luciemaggie, Welcome to the Forum. I understand the rule of coaches no older then 10 year old. They don't want a broken down unit arriving that can't move and then are hard to get them out. But at the same time I have seen RVs that are less then 10 years old that look like they were rode hard and put away wet. Most of the park that have the 10 year rule, will allow you, if making a reservation, to send a picture of your unit. Also if you drop in and they see that your RV is 20 years old and looks like it is new, most likely they will allow you to stay. I have never been turned down and our coach is 17 years old. I am not saying I like the rule, just saying I understand it. An again Welcome, Herman
  11. Doc, First Welcome To The Forum. Second, good luck with fleetwood. Their standard answer is "not our problem, you are out of Warranty". Maybe a letter from an Attorney might help. It would be like giving chicken soup to a dead person, it may not help but it couldn't hurt", a line for an old joke> Herman
  12. Rotating is not something I would do. Tires in different positions have different amount of tread wear. Tires that wear together stay together. Herman
  13. Give me a shout. I will be on a Golf Cart with SAFETY on the windshield, there are three of us and I am the Good Looking one with Gray hair. Herman
  14. Agree, my 400 ISL runs at a constant 180. Up a grade maybe 190 and down 178. When in the mountains and going up steep grades I will down shift one gear to keep the fan on high. By the way, I now have a new water pump and am full of ELC coolant. Well road test it in a couple of weeks. Going to Shreveport to volunteer at the Fair. Herman
  15. Until you have your coach weighed I would use the setting listed on you documentation sheet on the wall next to the driver seat. Good Luck, we will also be in Tucson in March. Mapping out the trip as we speak. Same answer as Brett, his typing is faster then mine. Herman
  16. Richard, Thank you for your service. USN 1956 to 1964. Last duty on the USS Wasp CVA-18. Herman Sorry about that Wayne.
  17. Jim, First Welcome to the Forum. Where were you when you were stranded for two days? Were you in a bad Location, on the side of the road, in a camp site, where? Do you have a odd sire size that was hard to find? Were you incontact with FMCA Roadside Assistance at any time during those two days? It appear that there may be more to the story then you are telling us. If I have to wait more than an hour for a response, I an back in touch with my service, find out why, then get my own tire service. I would then send the bill to them for reimbursement. May we hear more? Herman
  18. Nothing, It appears that mypopslou has either solved his problem and failed to let us know, or he is just confused with all he has heard. If mypopslou had not mentioned that his tire were Michelins I would have thought that his tires were GoodRich G670s which have a propensity to wear on the outside in the steer position. If we don't hear from the OP in a week or so then we should just close the Thread and move on. Herman
  19. I have a hard time thinking of some folks spending $6.50 for a cup of Starbucks Moca latte times 5 cups a week ($32,50) times 52 weeks ($1,690.00) and not saying a thing about Starbucks going up to $6.95 a cup. Let's see$6.95 X 5 = $37.75 X 52 = $1,807.00 a year. That's $117.00 a year more and not one peep out of them. Herman
  20. Robert Welcome to the Forum. First your monitor is held in place from the inside. There are two knobs that secures is in place on a pair of mounting brackets . Prying will only get you a broken frame. If your monitor have a Screen and a View button on the front panel try pushing the view button. It may have accidentally been hit and turned of the screen. Try it, it can't hurt. Herman
  21. Stephen, Welcome to the Forum. Is there any difference on your A/C knob between A/C and Max A/C? Mine will close off the outside air and go to recirculate when set on Max A/C. Herman
  22. Sorry I did mean diesel, but my question is still the same, do any accept credit card to be used. Herman
  23. Somewhere in a post it was mentioned that the Military Fam Camps were to be opened to all Vets. on January 1, 2020. Does anyone remember the post and if so can they say where they heard this information. I have looked high and low but can not find any mention of this happening. Herman
  24. Is there a Gas Discount card that let you assign a credit card to be used rather than prepay or bank account number? Herman
