  1. My thought is "here's our chance to use that fiberglass we ordered wrong." Herman
  2. By the way Mike. Be sure and power wash the roof before you try any repairs. Any repair need a really clean surface to adhere to. Herman
  3. I wonder why they didn't place the large piece over the pieces they added to the edge and then Fiberglass the seam. Am I being just too simple? Herman
  4. Jim, I took my cabinet down removed the front from the cabinet set my skill saw for to the angle of the cabinet. I then cut both top and bottom. Then cut the sides on the table saw. It came out perfectly. I will send a picture soon. Herman
  5. Joe, I cut our cabinet back 7" and even Carl can enter without hitting his head. And to the devil made me do it. Herman
  6. Yes, Welcome to the Forum. Just a guess on my part, Sound to me that you are having problems with your "ABS" system. Herman
  7. Jeanne, Welcome to the Forum. Weber make several small grills, the "Q" and the "Baby Q". I have the small one, the Baby Q. It is ok but not very high BTUs. Everyone has their favorites but may I suggest you Google "portable gas grills". Pick out a few then ask who likes one over the other. Good hunting and again Welcome. Herman
  8. No, Natty Flats is just about 4 or 5 miles south of I-20 on Hwy 281. Home of the world larger Mesquite Rocking Chair. Not familiar with the one in Hico. But in Hico is a house, I believe is called Asher House or something similar to that, that make handmade chocolate candies that is to die for. Herman
  9. I was very fortunate when I had mine removed. It only cost me $500.00 and the front look great. Now I will tell you why it only cost $500.00. I had a Boo Boo on the front of the coach and that was my deductible. James Stalling the owner of Xtreme Graphic in Nacogdoches Texas convinced my insurance companies adjuster that there was no way they could match the color of the paint without removing the 3M #&^%$. It worked and as I said it looked good after it was buffed and waxed. Herman
  10. Roland, Coffee Creek is a nice park, we have had several Rallies there. Don't forget to go to Naty Flats (just a bit south on 281) for BBQ. Good BBQ, Great Potato Salad and Peach Fried Pies that are to die for. Herman
  11. Thanks for the update. Give him a extra squeeze for all of us. Herman
  12. Al, that is question that has so many variables. 300 miles on tires is no biggie unless they are worn or aged out. What will the price of fuel when you go, gas or diesel. Do you like carrying bags into and out of a hotel.??????? Herman
  13. Try "Fishing Bridge " in the park. There are many around the out side of the park. Call now they fill up quickly. Herman
  14. Yes and no. A bad cell or weak cell can do strange things. Is there a way you can keep the coach plugged in when in storage. If so your inverter will act as a charger and maintain the charge in your batteries. Sorry to hear you had surgery, hope you recover nicely and get back on the road soon. Herman
  15. There is one constance in TEXAS weather. That is that it can change in a moments notice both good and bad, any day, any time of the year. Herman
  16. Fully charge the batteries and test each cell with a hydrometer. I'll bet you have a bad cell or several. Herman
  17. All that being said, Batteries will discharge on their own over a period of time when not in use, it's just the nature of the beast. Even new they can discharge while sitting on the shelf, however not as fast as when they are put into service. What you might try, clean the batteries(terminals and the top), Make sure they are fully charged, disconnect both the Positive and Negative cables and give it a week or two then check their voltage. You will see a drop in voltage, however if they are completely discharged then IHO you have bad batteries. If you can put a trickle charger on to maintain them you may get a bit more life out of them. Good luck. Herman
  18. Richard, I agree if you have the Viatron BMV 712 in your coach you would be all set. However if you don't a BMV 712 cost $226.65 plus tax (free shipping). Plus installation. My method, you can buy a meter for $12.99 + T/Fgt. with 2 clip and a bit of wire. I would like to learn more about the 712 to see how it works. It sounds like it would be a good unit to have. Born2, let us know what you find. I'm sure a lot of us would like to know so we will have a starting place should we have the same issue. Herman
  19. Back in the day (way back in the day), we had an method that help find gremlins in cars. We would put a volt meter between the positive battery post and the positive cable. The meter would show 12 volts. Then one by one we would pull fuses. Remove a fuse and if it still showed 12 volts, replace that fuse and move to the next. we would continue to the next one and so on till the meter went to zero. When the meter went to zero there was the circuit that was the culprit. It worked on cars, but have not tried it on a MH. You might try it and see if you can find your gremlin. Herman
  20. Good advice. I have one thing to add. While checking the side walls don't forget to look between the treads. I have found, at times, found good side walls with bad cracking between the treads. Herman
  21. JC, Perry would have been the place, since several glass dealers were there. RV Glass Solutions is who I call for windshield work. Herman
  22. RVI quoted me a minimum of 16 hour @ $140.00 per hour plus parts to repair a leaking hose. I went to HWH and they did the repair for $281.00 complete. I would be suspect at any shop that took 6 weeks to complete minor repairs and then found something else to repair. Herman
  23. Traveled that road for close to 40 years. Can be dicey if weather is bad but as Brett said, in goo weather it is a good road and great scenery. If I were going to take 380 to get to Cleburne I would take 380 to Jacksboro, then 281 South to I-20, then skirt around Ft. Worth on 20 to I-35 W then 35 south to Hwy 67 and West on 67 to Cleburne . I will some time tell folks the 380 runs from San Antonia to Greenville Texas, You can see them thinking and tell you it can't happen and then with a smile I will add San Antonia, New Mexico. Herman
  24. Welcome to the Forum. Did you just purchase your unit? I would first check with King to see if your unit will pickup any or all of the three providers, Dish, Direct, and Bell (not sure if that the correct name}. Do You have a satellite provider at home? If so that is the one I would go with. Again Welcome, Herman
