  1. Floyd, I am not an electrician but drawing 38 amps on the refrigerator seem very high to me. My residential refer. only draws about 5 amps on startup and less then 3 amps when running. Are you sure about those draws? 140 amps with ref. and microwave ? Herman
  2. T., Welcome to the Forum. What you saw was the 99th FMCA National Convention and RV Show in Perry, GA. We have on the average 2,300 RVs at one of the Rallies. There are two of these Rallies each year. Our next one will be in Minot N.D. August 14-17, 2019. It will be our 100th. If you are not a member of FMCA please send me a Personal Message and I will guide you through the process and then you and Sarah can get all the benefits and a wonderful magazine. You can send me a PM by clicking on my picture and select the envelope and send me a message. Look forward to hearing from you. Again welcome. Herman
  3. Richard, I agree with you statement. However when we dry camp I will run the generator for a couple of hours then shut it off when we go to bed. Then I will start it up to run the Microwave and coffee pot. Maybe not needed but that's just how I do it. By the way I like your coach, looks good. Herman
  4. I replaced our Never-cool with a Samsung RF18. It runs just fine on the modified sine wave inverter. The Never-cool has two seperate outlets. One is 120 volt from shore power while the other is 120 volt from the inverter. I moved both of the outlets so if I could plug into power supplied by either the inverter or shore power. However I have had it plugged into the inverter since the day I installed the unit, 4 years. Herman
  5. Correct, if you want to keep your batteries on some sort of charger when stored, get a charger that is a maintainer and not a trickle charger. A maintainer will only charge as needed while a trickle charger will be on low charge all the time and can and will over charge a battery. Herman
  6. Carl, The OP sound as if a coach like Linda's would be just what he is looking for. PS: Welcome Home. Herman
  7. I would start with the fuse . If I remember correctly there is a fuse for the stop lights in the panel , driver side in front of the front tire. Do the brake lights work on the Jeep when disconnected from the coach? Herman
  8. ali, Several things come to mind. Did it wander before you had the new tires put on? If no have the front tires rotated to the rear, and see if that change things I have seen new tires that are bad from the get go. Firestone 500 comes to mind. Was it aligned at the same time that you put on the new tires? There is a possibility that the Toe-in is not set properly. Out of spec Toe-in will cause extreme wandering. Herman

    NO Start

Glad you got it fixed and thanks for the update. Herman
  10. Jim, Welcome to the Forum. Who installed your unit? I would either talk to them or give a call to Blue OX. 402-382-3051 Herman
  11. There are a number of 2 speed 12 volt fans on the market that have a 2 speed switchs built in. Just Google 2 speed RV fans. Good luck and stay cool. Herman
  12. Keigm How I maintain my coach batteries is with a small trickle charger. I have it plugged into my block heater outlet. The out let is live only when plugged into shore power or on generator. I have many grimlins that would draw my coach batteries down. Since mounting the trickle charger no problems. (Lots of folks have heard this before) Herman
  13. Kay, I love the concept of the blocks. I have a friend whose wife is having issue with their steps. My only concern, and I know it can be worked out, the top step with a sliding step cover. Let's think about that but the concept is great. I am going to pass the pictures to him. Thanks, Herman
  14. Once the air is dumped on our coach, a fat nat would have trouble sliding under it. When I have to get under the coach I raise the coach as much as I can then put 20 ton jack stands under it and lower it till the frame is just touching the jack stands. Then I feel safe sliding under the coach.
  15. lj, Do you have a cabinet right under the antenna? If so I found a coupler in a covered area in the cabinet. However I may missing something here, you said "I have tested the cable from the aerial to the roof all is fine." are you saying that you have checked the entire cable for the Antenna to the distribution box and all is fine? Herman
  16. Eddy, As said, Welcome. Check your ride height adjusting rods. You will have three, two in the rear and one in the front. You may have one or more broken rubber mounts. Herman
  17. Check the pedestals plug across L1 &L2 to see if you 220 volts. If not try combinations of L1and the ground then the neutral and see if you have 220 volts. The same with L2. If either way you get 220 volts you have a hot ground or neutral. Herman
  18. Doc, Does your tow dolly have steerable wheels? If so you may lock your steering wheel and be sure the Parking brake is off and away you go. However if your dolly does not have steerable wheels you must leave the steering wheel of the Hyundai unlocked. Hope this helps, Herman

    NO Start

I know this is not your problem, but it sound just like the older GM cars and trucks where the exhaust pipe was too close to the starter and when after driving for a while the engine would not turn over till the starter cooled down. Sorry just a bit of nostalgia. Herman
  20. hottuna, Welcome to the Forum. My suggestion would be to contact Blue OX, Roadmaster or Remco to see if they make base plates for your Lincoln. Blue Ox blue0x.com or 800-228-9289 Roadmaster roadmasterinc.com or 800-669-9690 Someone come to my rescue, I can't remember who purchased Remco. Anyway that is where I would start. Good luck, Herman
  21. Richard, I'm wondering what a "Bier" is. Could it be a beer only sold in Arizona? Glad you are back in business olemarine. Herman
  22. Easy for you to say.😁 Herman
  23. Thanks, I got them there. I found that you take the measurement off the air bags located between the drive axle and the tag axle. I can't remember but I think in measurement was 8.25 inches. I would have to go back to my notes. Thanks, Herman
  24. When you have an overheating issue try down shifting to increase your RPMs which should lower your temp. Herman
  25. Don, There should be a fuse panel on drivers side in front of the front tire. You should be able to find the fuse there. Herman
