  1. Olyeller, M&G Engineering in Athens, Texas makes unit that may work for you. Give Monty a call Monday and ask him if they have one that may work. Their units are installed and then only requires plugging in. I hope Monty has a unit that will work for you. Herman
  2. The Test is not hard but beware of trick questions. One question on my test was "when towing another vehicle what color strap is used?" There was a picture of a small pulling a car with a nylon YELLOW strap. So naturally I answered YELLOW. Wrong, the correct answer was there must be 1foot by 1 foot white cloth attached to the strap. No where in the book or information did it say anything about towing let alone color or flag.😯 Herman
  3. Dale, this is one for the techs at Atwood. As you stated there is no sign of broken parts. You also said they are electric. Pardon me for asking but are you sure they are electric? Could they be independent hydraulic cylinders driven by an independent electric motor on each jack? It seems to be me you may have an issue with the control board that maintains the leveling of the coach once it is leveled. Sorry for all the questions, hope you find the problem. Lets us know what you find. Herman
  4. SR, are you sure that you reconnected the wires correctly? It may be as simple as miss place wires. Herman
  5. coach888, Sorry to hear that you are forced to give up RVing. Are you in a big hurry to sell or do you have some time ? If you are not in a big hurry then you could try to sell it yourself on RVtrader.com. I would give it a month or so. Now is the time to sell as the weather improves and folks are getting the urge to buy or up grade. However if you are in a hurry to sell you might try, if in or around Texas, PPL, Motor Home Specialist or Motor Homes of Texas. These are three of the best in the Texas area. If you are in some other area you might try googling consignment RVs and see what you can find in your area. Again sorry you have to sell. Good Luck. Herman
  6. Tim, Welcome to the Forum. You should replace the front now. On the rear I would not only look at the side walls for cracking but also between the treads. If you see none there you should be alright. I would inspect the tire before each trip just to be on the safe side. Good luck and safe travels. Herman
  7. I purchased a 55 psi - 5 gpm pump from a strange place, WalMart. I have found several name brand RV products there and at reasonable prices. Herman
  8. I agree, no older than 6 months and balance all. Herman
  9. Ray, I would agree if he were speaking of low pressure when on city water. But his low pressure is when he is on his pump. Therefore I believe he either has a restriction just after his pump or needs to upgrade to a higher flow and pressure pump. JMHO Herman
  10. Jim, Welcome to the Forum. Fluid will change color at times what I do is smell the fluid. It will smell burnt if bad. You can really tell by the smell. Others may have other test. Good luck, Herman
  11. We are in Abilene, Texas and Carl wants to cook up a Texas treat. He says he can skin it but doesn't have a pot to cook it in. Can anyone get him one big enough? Herman
  12. Joaharrison, Welcome to the Forum,. Your MiFi shows your usage on your screen. After the dust settles think about joining a Chapter. Let us know what area you live in and we can direct you to some nice groups. Again Welcome, Herman
  13. Sorry friend we need a bit more information. Herman
  14. nessa, Welcome to the Forum. There was something but I can't remember what it was on. Can you enlighten us on the subject. Thanks, Herman
  15. hoskey, What it sound to me like you need to re set your inverter. Check and see if it has a reset button on the front or rear of the unit. Herman
  16. hoskey, Sounds to me like you have a bad check valve which is on the suction side of the pump. It isn't holding and after the pump reaches it's cut off pressure it slowly leaks down and will recycle as it gets to the low pressure. A simple repair to remove the valve and replace it. Happy travels. Herman
  17. Quailpen, Welcome to the Forum and to FMCA. In a small town speaking with a Police Officer is good advise. First they know if the town has a "No overnight parking ordinance". (Please don't be offended if they say there is one their town council made the law not them). And if there is no ordinance then they will know who does and who doesn't mind you parking on their property. In all most all small towns the Police Officers are great folks. So go and see this great country of ours and enjoy the small towns. But also remember when taking the Highways and byways of rural America watch for narrow shoulders on the roads and low underpasses. Know the height of your RV. Again great to have you onboard. Herman
  18. gkonechney, Welcome to the Forum. You did see that this is 7 year old posting. But don't worry we may be able to help. In most DP there is a fuse panel located in a bay in front of the front wheel on the drivers side. Good luck, Herman
  19. Ryan, Might I suggest that you contact Dan Ball at FMCA. See if he can clear it up for your and let us know what Dan says. Herman

    Tire Life

Denny, Glad to have you aboard the Forum, Welcome. You along with the Tireman bring a wealth of knowledge to the topic of tires. Please help any time especially on Highway Safety. Again, Welcome. Herman
  21. Yep, Carl, I looked it up and that is the price for one. I did notice Tom said "ordered A Regency..." just one. Wow! When you get your new coach are you going to request all 10 of you batteries be Regencys? Herman
  22. Batsome, They have both types. The box store generally have battery operated or 110 volt with battery backup. Both are very good for you bricks and sticks structure. However if you want one that is 12 volt with battery backup then an RV dealer might be your best bet. Good luck and be safe. Herman
  23. Richard, very good video. I learned something, Thanks. Herman
