  1. A Workhorse chassis is no longer produced so you might want to reconsider an F-53 of later years with the newer V-10 and 5 speed trans with tow/haul.
  2. In some States, there is a 72 hrs wait period for MV contracts to protect consumers from less than honest salespeople....within that 72 hrs the customer can return the MV for a full refund less a fee for using the vehicle...
  3. Entegra is owned by Jayco and has been since 2008...
  4. I would certainly check with your agent...sounds like he or she might have left it out to reduce your cost or as someone else mentioned , it's in the comp coverage....either way make sure you have, windshields in this rigs are $$$
  5. Our friends have a Foretravel and love it but this past summer a seal went on a slide, had to stop at the factory to have some replaced as the ones on their MH were pneumatic and inflated after the slide was out...I guess all MHs have their particular glitches...
  6. On our coach the basement is heated via the furnaces but a lot of times we don't like to run them all night, in those instances, we have a small electric heater I leave in the wet bay....never had a problem
  7. What year and model? Maybe fill out your signature with the info?
  8. Two sided tape for the rear and used the existing license plate holes for the front...
  9. We stayed there few years ago, as stated, basic but OK...close to Palo Duro canyon, short drive into Amarillo restaurants.
  10. I think it depends on the maker of the jack system, one says not to use WD 40, another says it's OK .....check your manual..
  11. Bill, your experience with KOA was better than ours a few years ago. We were traveling thru AZ and could not make it to the next campground , a KOA due to a snow storm...they refused a refund...like the campground was in high demand at that time.....but to corporate KOA's credit they did give me free night after a written complaint .
  12. We seldom travel if the weather is forecast to be nasty, better a day late than sorry... If you are set up at a campground and the wind is strong enough to rock your MH, it has been recommended by some manufacturers to take in the slides and retract the jacks and they are not made to withstand heavy rocking..
  13. If you don't mind the color black, go to Loews and get some outdoor carpet runner....I make a template for one step, cut out the pieces I need and glue them on with 3M trim adhesive. Had them on several RVs now, work great and last a long time...easy to install, stay in place and easy to replace and best of all.....a lot less money than the ones in RV stores...
  14. Sure glad you finally found it, that kind of leak can be very frustrating...
  15. The check valve for the black tank flusher should be right at the connection to the water hose, if the only thing showing is the connection, look behind the panel.
  16. We are going from a 2012 Vista 35F with the Ford V-10 to the Phaeton DP. If the Ford got 7.5 towing our Jeep Wrangler I was lucky, mileage ran from 5.5 in mountains to almost 12 on downgrade and tailwind.... We switched to the Phaeton for the ride and amenities.....better mileage would be nice but really. Who here really worries about it??? If you do, maybe you should not own a class A
  17. We came from a 33' fifth wheel and chev dually...switched to class A in 2012, never go back......in fact we are picking up a bigger MH this week....
  18. Depending on the fan you have, a standard vent cover may not be able to handle the air flow.....I suggest a maxx air or Fantastic fan cover made for high flow,
  19. Another thing to consider is the position of the drivers seat as compared to a car....you are now basically sitting over the front wheels...try to look further out and not right in front of the MH, you are probably over correcting though you may not realize it. If this and and other suggestions like weight, tire pressure, weight distribution don't work, you might want to consider a steering stabilizer like the one mentioned.
  20. Have you looked at the Suncruiser 35F? That bath and a half sure is nice. We would never go back to one bath.
  21. Sounds like either a class B or C would fit your needs but I think you would be happier in a small C class. My suggestion would be to rent one for a long weekend or short trip....the cost would be worth it to help you decide that rving is for you... Our neighbors have a class C diesel and travel with two dogs, they love it......I believe the RV is on a 1ton diesel Mercedes....they get good mileage with the 4 cylinder.
  22. Its in there, not looking in the right spot...I had the same problem
  23. With only 13k on the MH, I would suspect, front alignment, weight distribution and proper tire inflation....especially if this is a F53 chassis.
  24. I just had to upgrade my operators license in NM because of the new coach on order will be over 26,000 lbs, had to change to a class E which is strictly for recreational vehicles over 26,000lbs. I am sure there are a lot of NM rv owners out there that never change their license and have never been called on it.....
  25. Any good carnauba wax will do.....just get one for clear coat and that comes off easy:)
