  1. I wonder what flavor pellets would work best for racoon? https://www.smithsonianmag.com/smart-news/raccoon-was-once-thanksgiving-feast-fit-president-180973665/ Bill
  2. Carl, Doesn't Hwy 71 go through La grange? Have you ever stopped in the area? Timeless Texas Classics is a great place They restore classic cars. Industrial Country Market is an eclectic roadside attraction near Columbus. The owner calls it the non general, general store. Here is a link to a description of the place. http://alcalde.texasexes.org/2011/09/inside-a-non-general-general-store/ You got me thinking about that area One outher place that is amust stop is the Meadery. Blissful Folly Farm is situated between the small communities of La Grange, Round Top & Fayetteville in the beautiful countryside of south central Texas. The farm is home to Rohan Wines & Meads, & Blissful Folly Hard ciders & fruit wines. https://blissfulfollyfarm.com/ If I was that close I would have to do a day trip to Brennan Tx to go to Blue Bell bluebell.com. I don't think I can drive from Florida to austin in just a month there is to much to see and do along the way. Op isn't stopping in NO? Bill
  3. Yes and HAPPY THANKSGIVING. Bill
  4. I am being cautious about what I eat. So I am only having turkey, prime rib, ham and a few sides. Yes I am being cautious about what I eat, it all has to taste good. Bill
  5. Yes and never forget those who are separated from their families this day so you can be with yours. Bill
  6. Happy Thanksgiving!!! We are are at home but will be heading for Lake Conroe next week for a Bounder rally at Lake Conroe / Houston North KOA Holiday, Highway 105 West, Montgomery, TX. Carl that is a nice campground, we were there for a rally before 6 State. Bill
  7. Carl, that is on the statline on the Snake River, On I-84, mostly a South East rout. Bill
  8. I would keep a close eye on the forecast. They are forecasting some bad storms. You may want to delay for a few days till it clears off some. Bill
  9. Carl, I am surprised it didn't change over to gas automatically. My old Bounder does. You don't have a gas furnace but it should default to the AH for heat. Bill
  10. What it sounds like? What it sounds like is a technology that can't meet the needs of the marketplace at a price people are willing to pay. Bill
  11. We shall see. I still don't see any pent up demand for EVs. I have been paying attention when we travel and I don't see that many on the road. I have heard the same mantra for the steam powered cars, the gas turbine powered cars and the natural gas powered cars. I almost forgot the fuel cell powered car. Where are they? Bill
  12. MisterDiggs, Welcome to the forum. Can you please explain to me how you were stopped from communicating? What exactly have you done to make FMCA a better club? Have you joined a local chapter, have you volunteered at rallies? Personally, I think the person is more important than what kind of RV they have. And we will be saddened when it stops for you. Bill
  13. Well just so you know it appears that FMCA has been putting out videos for a while. Go to https://www.youtube.com/user/fmcaonline/playlists You will find a list of over 750 videos. If you play one and click on the "Subscribe" you will get notifications of new releases. I think there is a wealth of information available. Bill
  14. Exactly, too many can't handle the current load. How much extra will the operator of the park charge you to plug in a EV? I see lots of hype for EVs but no real demand from the public. Bill
  15. If there is a demand I can see the campgrounds adding a pay to use charging station, separate from the RV pedestal. I don't expect to see it. Bill
  16. Congratulations on your new fifth wheel and welcome to the forum. If you put it and your tow vehicle in your signature it will help to get better quicker answers in the future. I bet by now you see there are some pros and cons to using a cover. Now hopefully someone who has used one will jump in with their opinion. Where are you storing the fifth wheel? Bill
  17. The OP has a 2009 coach with 3000 psi lines. Who ever said you need a 5,000 psi line on a RV? Bill
  18. Here is a video that should be promoted better for new people. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B0hFvu73q08 Bill
  19. One other thing is to make sure you get grease squeeze out equally from all caps. If not you need to clear the passages and repack or replace the U joint. I will say if I had ANY inkling of a problem with the U joints I would replace them. To cheap of a fix not to do. Bill
  20. I agree with being "proactive". I would keep eye on them and revisit changing them next years annual. If you see any serious degrading of the condition. They might outlast you. Bill
  21. Help me here, what I am seeing is the actual hoses are braided steel with a covering of some kind. Perhaps some kind of anti chafing cover. But it doesn't look durable enough for that. If you have no damage to the steel line from chafing/fraying or any leaking at/where the end fittings are attached you are probably wasting your money replacing them. Bill
  22. Welcome to the forum. Can you post pictures of the cracking? Bill
  23. Bruce, Welcome to the forum. I will check that out it sounds like something useful when you go to a new store. We know all Walmarts are set the same . I wish they had apps to do that for all the major grocery stores to. Finding your way around new stores is just part of the grand adventure. Bill
  24. I would like to come over and harass you during your installation but have a commitment in Conroe. Bill
  25. I don't know who is doing Quartzsite but just down the road is FMCA's 101st International Convention & RV Expo in Tucson AZ. Bill
