  1. It might be worth looking at Motor Home Specialist,(MHSRV) to see how they compare as they claim to start at 40% off. http://www.mhsrv.com/ Bill
  2. Absolutely, Amazon, Camping World, Walmart all have adapters. I would get at least one other one that goes from 15 amp up to 30 amp. You will run into lots of strange configurations in different RV parks. Bill
  3. If you want to know what your Allison takes you can go to MY ALLISON with your serial number and you can verify all the information. You can find the part numbers for the filter kit and much more about your transmission. I would bet a cold beverage it takes 19 quarts. Buying in the 5 gal pail is lots cheaper than by the quart. www.allisontransmission.com/my-allison/customer Bill
  4. Gary, try googling the number, it should be a number like TYC 20-3668 it should lead you to what that part was used on originally. My Headlight assembles came back as BMW M-3. Let me know what you find. Bill
  5. Welcome to the forum. Glad you fixed the problem. Bill
  6. Well that is no fun. What about sitting in the coach with the generator running? Bill
  7. Take your time. It will be a while before PA warms up. Bill
  8. Actually I live in North Richland Hills and keep the coach in Joshua. Being closer to Weatherford and FW means more good places to eat. Bill
  9. I like Cowtown RV Park, 7000 I-20 Frontage Rd, Aledo, TX 76008, it is closer to Weatherford and not to far from FT Worth. Bill
  10. Welcome to the forum. Have you looked in your owners manual? I believe it will be called a EMS Electrical Management System. If you do have one it does not do the same thing as a surge guard. I tried to get buy with out a surge guard and it cost me $450.00 to repair my washer because of a 5 sec low power event. When you get a Surge Gard I recommend the portable as you can check power at the pedestal with out parking the coach in the spot. You will find more low power issues than over or spikes. Let us know what you find out. Bill
  11. No, I ran Mobil 1 5-40 Turbo Diesel Truck until they had a $5.00 rebate on the Shell. Bill
  12. Ray, you are right. That is another reason I am running Shell Rotella T-6 5-40 as it flows much better when cold. I want oil to the turbo as fast as possible. Bill
  13. Yes the trolley does help to get around in town but doesn't go into the park past the visitors center. Hear is a link to a map of the trolley routs. https://www.smokymountainnavigator.com/area-maps/trolley-map/ I have used it getting around in town because of the parking, there isn't any. We have stayed out on 321 at Smokey Bear. There are lots of places not covered by the shuttle. I don't recommend driving your coach over 441 to Cherokee. The only places that I can think of where you can get buy with out a car is The Grand Canyon National Park. If you can get into RV Village the shuttle bus will pick you up at the campground. Maybe at Zion as now you HAVE to use the shuttle buses to go up the canyon. Well ok you can walk. Bill
  14. Lots of people can buy a tank but how many can say "I made that from scratch". Bill
  15. Overall it looks pretty good. Why so thick of metal for a water tank? Ok ok it is easier to weld. You earned a whole beer after that job nun of this sip stuff. I use to be certified in weld inspection and reading weld X-rays. Bill
  16. I love all the people who rationalize how great it is to not have a toad. I traveled with out a toad in a small class C with no slides. Never again. The only way it works at all is going to one campground parking and staying put till you go home. I watch people with no toad breaking camp to do anything. We drove the going to the sun road 3 times and took the tour busses. I love the people who say "well we will just rent or take Uber" good luck, I did some research on this and the chances you can get a rental near a major attraction is slim and nun add in busy time of the season and. Last summer I was in Portland Maine, we watch some one in a small class C and a short A make about 5 passes through the port area trying to find some place to park. I had a hard time finding parking for my CR-V. Bill
  17. Well if the welds are good you shouldn't have any problem holding 3500-4000 psi. The only potential problem is in the last picture on the right side about 2/3down the bead, looks like a stop and start. Just make shure you got enough penetration. Bill
  18. No you don't want a debit card as it will not give you the advantage on the exchange rate. Today you would be giving away +.23 per dollar or for that $1000 you would throw $230.00 on the ground plus if you do the exchange in Canada there is a charge for the service. Bill
  19. Keep up the fight. Be sure to follow the dolly manufactures instructions because of the differences. I have seen cars damaged on a dolly with a swivel plate as they left the steering un locked and allowed the car to turn to tightly and hit the fenders on the dolly. I used a dolly for a couple of years, if you have any questions just ask. Where are you living now? Bill
  20. Just a heads up to those traveling in Canada. Notify your bank and your credit card co. Use a credit card not a debit card to make purchases. The debit card will pay strait across but the credit card will pay the bill in Canadian and bill your account at the exchange rate. This saves converting cash US to Canadian and ending up with a bunch to swap back. Bill
  21. On the Ford sway bar there are 2 sets of holes in the arms. The CHF all you do is move the bolts to the in board/aft holes, this stiffens the sway bar. Bill
  22. Looks like this would be a good time to modify the filler neck to make it more accessible. Bill
  23. Welcome to the forum. Sorry to hear you had problems with Cornerstone Extended Warranty's. Bill
