  1. I am going to throw out another place on the other side (East Side) of Dallas, out buy Lake Ray Hubbard. Plantation Place, 345 Barnes Bridge Rd, Sunnyvale, TX 75182, plantationplacerv.com, (972) 226-0464. They had some damage a while ago from a tornado and I don't know what it is like now. Bill
  2. If the switch is not getting power (12V) trace it back to where you have power and find out what is blocking power to the switch.
  3. Welcome to the forum. Where do you call home /headquarters? Bill
  4. Thanks Andy, I didn't know they were renting short term to RV's. I don't go look at places that look like a mobile home park and prominently talk about "are you Interested in relocating your manufactured home?" Carl this isn't any closer than the Vines. Ok show me where in Dallas? Bill
  5. I had my new tiers balanced when they installed them. So far they are great. I think some of the problems come from using no method of balancing. I have heard some people only balance the front tires and don't do the back. Centramatics may be a way to go if you can't get them to balance any other way. Bill
  6. Can you get access to spray the internal lock works? Bill
  7. Welcome to the forum. Have you called Newmar to see if they have a scamatic or print on how it is installed. Bill
  8. Welcome to the forum. Yes We have looked for places to hold rally's that are close in but there are not that many places. There is a Corp of Engineers park on the west side of Lake Benbrook. There use to be a small place down off West 7th street in FW but the land got so valuable it was converted to retail. We are helping with a Bounder Rally at Cowtown RV Park next month it is one of the better close in places to FW. Bill
  9. Fxjim, welcome to the forum. Hard to make recommendations with out knowing what you like. I will recommend you get a EZ-Pass and you make reservations at this RV park for your stay in DC. Cherry Hill Park, 9800 Cherry Hill Rd, College Park, MD 20740, cherryhillpark.com. If you go up I-95 detour to the Tappan Z bridge and don't go over the George Washington bridge. I was in that area last summer. Gettysburg and the Museum were great. We also stoped at the Home of Franklin D. Roosevelt National Historic Site, 4097 Albany Post Rd, Hyde Park, NY 12538, nps.gov, (845) 229-9115. While in Hyde Park we toured Top Cabin Roosevelt's get away place. We also toured the Vanderbilt Mansion that is just down the road. For lunch one day we stopped in at the CIA for lunch. That is the The Culinary Institute of America, 1946 Campus Dr, Hyde Park, NY 12538, ciachef.edu, (845) 452-9600. Some other places you might like. Mystic Seaport, Maritime Museum, 75 Greenmanville Ave, Mystic, CT 06355 mysticseaport.org, (860) 572-0711. They had the Mayflower II in dry dock doing some work, they also have an authentic Viking long ship, They have the The Charles W. Morgan the last of an American whaling fleet. and dozens of other interesting ships and exhibits. Just up the coast I like the Worden Pond Family Campground, 416 Wordens Pond Rd, Wakefield, RI 02879, wordenpondfamilycampground.com, (401) 789-9113. Not fancy but it is about location. Moody Beach RV Campground, 266 Post Rd, Wells, ME 04090, rvonthego.com, (207) 646-4586, is a little South of Kennebunkport. South of Portland I like, Wild Duck Campground & RV Park, 39 Dunstan Landing Rd, Scarborough, ME 04074, wildduckcampground.com, (207) 883-4432. If you are visiting Freeport Main with all the shopping and outlet stores including LL Bean, I stay at Blueberry Pond Campground, 218 Poland Range Rd, Pownal, ME 04069, blueberrycampground.com, (207) 688-442. You are really in the Main woods but not far from town. Don't forget Arcadia National Park, Maine, nps.gov, (207) 288-3338. Bar Harbor is another great place and has some great food. I don't know how far up the coast you are going but if you go to Eastport you will have gone as far down East as you can go. I would have your passports with you and go visit Roosevelt Campobello International Park, 459 NB-774, Welshpool, NB E5E 1A4, Canada, fdr.net. When in Eastport We stay at Seaview Campground & Cottages, 16 Norwood Rd, Eastport, ME 04631, eastportmaine.com, (207) 853-4471. When in Eastport look for Ray's Mustard. If you have any questions just ask. By the way I recommend you make reservations. LRAllen, Welcome to the forum. If you are a Civil war fan you had a good time. Bill
  10. That looks good. I may look into doing something like that. Bill
  11. STUDEBRUCER, I would tell you and your wife that even if you have the absolute perfect size coach for camping in National as well as State parks, this doesn't mean you can get in. I think you are putting to much weight on this. I have bEen to over 30 National parks-- many more than once. Did you know there are several that you can't take your coach in? You are going to need to be towing a toad to get the most out of your experience so not getting a campground in the park is not a deal breaker. Most of the time I plan on staying out side of the park and get reservations well ahead of time. Did you know Yellowstone in July had over 30,000 visitors a day? I just hate to see you get a coach that after a few mouths you are wishing you had more room when buying a small coach is not the advantage you thought it was. Let me know if you have any questions. Bill
  12. I am pretty sure that Texas is notified if your insurance is canceled if not it should work that way. I seem to remember when all inspections had to be done in the same month. Bill
  13. Congratulations on your new coach and welcome to the forum. Bill
  14. It might be worth looking at Motor Home Specialist,(MHSRV) to see how they compare as they claim to start at 40% off. http://www.mhsrv.com/ Bill
  15. Absolutely, Amazon, Camping World, Walmart all have adapters. I would get at least one other one that goes from 15 amp up to 30 amp. You will run into lots of strange configurations in different RV parks. Bill
  16. If you want to know what your Allison takes you can go to MY ALLISON with your serial number and you can verify all the information. You can find the part numbers for the filter kit and much more about your transmission. I would bet a cold beverage it takes 19 quarts. Buying in the 5 gal pail is lots cheaper than by the quart. www.allisontransmission.com/my-allison/customer Bill
  17. Gary, try googling the number, it should be a number like TYC 20-3668 it should lead you to what that part was used on originally. My Headlight assembles came back as BMW M-3. Let me know what you find. Bill
  18. Welcome to the forum. Glad you fixed the problem. Bill
  19. Well that is no fun. What about sitting in the coach with the generator running? Bill
  20. Take your time. It will be a while before PA warms up. Bill
  21. Actually I live in North Richland Hills and keep the coach in Joshua. Being closer to Weatherford and FW means more good places to eat. Bill
