  1. No you are paying for the "FREE" replacement up front. Bill
  2. Welcome back. I would recommend something over 1000 Watt. The reason is somethings have a higher draw when they start and you may want to upgrade your system latter. Just because it is capable of 1000 or 1500 watts doesn't mean it will be drawing that much all the time. It could be as little as 2 charging your phone. Bill
  3. True I don't do that kind of work anymore but it has been a major help on some projects. I could show you part numbers in the TO for the F-35 it is still going on so I think Snap-On will be around for a long time. Bill
  4. Just a caution when adding the oil, go slow because it has a long hose to drain down and it may need to burp some air. If the engine oil one will pull out a little it would be good. A funnel with a hose is what I use. Bill
  5. I worked for a lot of years in the aircraft world. I like Snap-on and still have quite a tool box. I have used Craftsmen tools quite extensile over the years. Yes now you can find some real steals at Sears stores or at the Sears outlet stores. The absolute biggest advantage to Snap-On is when working on any military item Aircraft or ground support if you need a special tool there will be a part number in the technical order and it will take you to that tool in a snap on catalog. Bill
  6. Well thank GOD for that. I am tired of your condescending attitude that you are the only one who is smart enough to make THE RIGHT decisions on what to buy what to drive and where to stay. "I've been a member for more than 35 years.." So what!! That makes you a rooky compared to a lot of people on here. It has been posted by many people that AAA has not responded properly to calls about RV's. They may do OK on little campervans but don't try to convince me that they are what I need because you say so. "AAA helps with car registration, sales, insurance matters, overseas travel, DMV and much more.... It's not just hotel rooms...." By the way the DMV is where you register your car, and no I don't need any help as I can do my registration from home. Why would I pay extra? I drove a compact little campervan 40 years ago and thought it was neat but I grew up and moved up. I no longer want or desire to be told about what would be "best" for me to drive. I had to laugh at your one more bit about "Ideal RV Length for Fitting into National Park Campsites". One more stupid comment from the un knowing. Is camping in National parks the only camping you do? What makes you think that just because you Think you have the perfect size camper that you can get into a campground in a National or State Park? Let me see Yellowstone National park offers 12 campgrounds with over 2,000 sites. Yet during the peak season they have over 30,000 visitors a day. I will continue to make reservations for the campgrounds where I want to stay and they are mostly commercial places with more room and more amenities and about the same price as dry camping in the park. Bill
  7. If you go to the main EZ-Pass website you can see where a EZ-Pass can be used. The toll system in Florida is not in the system yet. The government passed a bill requiring all toll systems to merge and be interoperable 2 years ago. So far they haven't got that to work yet. https://www.ezpassnh.com/page/toll-facilities-participating-in-e-zpass One thing I remember is when I tried to sine up on line they were insisting I had to have a "Commercial account" When I walked in I didn't have to go Commercial. I believe it saves a little on the tolls and how much you need in your account. Bill
  8. Why would you need a shark bite? Most of those valves are installed with compression fittings. I need more info. This is where having some information about your RV in your signature would help and save time. Do you have picture's? Bill
  9. In Texas it is fried catfish. I have a toad so it isn't a problem getting to the more interesting places like Chaparral Grille & Spurs Bar, on Possum Kingdom Lake, Texas. Bill
  10. Kind of like this? http://www.dinersdriveinsdiveslocations.com/ Bill
  11. No really it has to be 110 before the asphalt riley puts out some heat. I have ben to rally's and some campgrounds where I needed a pad. Some campgrounds are so un level I used blocks to get close to level. Bill
  12. Yes that is a good idea. The only problem is people have different ideas on how things should taste. One tool is Yelp for finding places or one I like is when we are exploring a new town and looking in different shops is to ask the people "If you were going to go eat well where would you go and I don't mean Mickey D." The locals have pointed us to some amazing places. You will get different responses if it is lunch or supper. One of my all time favorites, The 7th street Chafee in ABQ is one of them. A great lunch place is Woerner Warehouse Café in Fredericksburg Texas. Or Pasta Jay's 4 S Main St, Moab, UT. Main street BBQ in Euless Texas. Bill
  13. Please give me the place where I can do that. That is cheaper for new wheels than stainless wheel simulators. Bill
  14. That is why I said to get setup with a EZ-Pass before you go. It makes life a lot easier, you can in many places not have to go through the toll lanes or stop at the toll booth's. Get one for your car for the same reason. Bill
  15. Strange I went and looked this up. Look up how many axels, most likely either 4 or 5. I have never gone South on the GW but on the Tappan Z it is free. https://www.panynj.gov/bridges-tunnels/tolls.html Bill
  16. Not shure where you are hearing the toll on the GW is $0.75 but the last time I paid it the toll was $76.00 with out a EZ-Pass. I don't know what it is with because I haven't gone back across since I got my pass. The Tappan Z is about $26.00 with out a EZ-Pass. I would highly recommend you get a EZ-Pass before your trip it will save you money and is more convent to use. Get one for your car and one for the coach. When towing the car put the pass in the bag they give you and put it in the glove compartment so it isn't read. You are charged a lesser toll than if you disconnected and drove the toad separate from the Coach. Any questions just ask. Bill
  17. Quite a change as we had ben in Palladio Canyon until we heard the front was coming. The rangers were warning people they may be stuck in the canyon for a couple of days. That is why we moved to Oasis, it was warm and sunny till late Friday afternoon. Bill
  18. I don't know why the record I found doesn't match the reported local news nor my observations. Next time I will make a video of the local news and weather. The snow started on Friday evening the 28 APR and was over by Monday the first. https://www.timeanddate.com/weather/usa/amarillo/historic?month=4&year=2017 I must have ben delusional. Bill
  19. I was staying at Oasis RV park on I-40 on the West side of Amarillo on 4-29 of last year. They had a storm come in where they shut I-40 down. I was glad I had a spot as there were trucks everywhere and no place for them. I believe the wind gust were over 75mph. Hear is a picture looking out at the nice weather. timetraveler said "Don't want to repeat that again. On I 40 west of Feet Worth according to our GPS, we ,have seen many semis headed east usually, on their side or top, from the wind, in that 20 mile stretch or so. Most right as a slight inside curve on the east bound side is encountered." Well actually I-40 doesn't go through Fort Worth. There is a section of I-287 from where it splits off I-35W going North West to Amarillo that is known for being dangerous because it is slightly elevated and exposed to wind gust. That is for about 10 miles from the I-35W split. Bill
  20. Welcome to the forum and being new Bounder owners. You can find more info hear about Bounders of America. www.bounder.org/ I think there is a Bounder chapter not far from you. When heading north it is recommended not to cross the Hudson on the George Washington Bridge right obedb. Bill
  21. They have ben showing on the news that Rockport and that area still have a long way to go before they are back to where they were. We have stayed at Lagoons RV Resort a couple of times before the storm. Hope they are getting it straitened up. The big problem is that whole area is only 12" above the ocean at the hi spots. Hear is a picture of the water pushing into the parking lot where we were eating lunch on time. Bill
  22. You will like Freeport Besides Bean there are lots of outlet stores and good places to eat. Like Gritty McDuff's Freeport Brew Pub. If you like good baked goods check out When Pigs Fly Sourdough Breads. https://www.visitfreeport.com/ Bill
  23. Jo, do the low cal lobsters turn red when you cook them. We have stayed at Wilde Duck just up the coast and down at Moody Beach. The big problem is finding an opening during the summer. Bill
  24. Welcome to the forum. I was worried about ride when I replaced my tires as I went up to a H from G. Haven't had any problems and they ride fine. If you add your coach and some other info to your Signature it will help to get better answers when you ask questions. Where are you located? Bill
